Hello, Wow ! So surprised my timeline has changed. Seems making it a lot longer.. crying.gif Is this really like this ? I mean it changed everyday? I don't know what else can we do on this but to wait. Yeah.. a VERY LONGGGGGGGGGG WAIT... sigh...

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresletter from US embassy
W ow ! !

VSC is really frustrating. I've read some posts that they've applied last July at CSC and they are already doing their medicals and interview soon. While on my case, we applied June and nothing happens yet.. No choice but have to wait and wait... Well help us God...

Anyone who has the same case here?

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresK-3 Interview in Manila
Hello,
Just want to help about your questions regarding your income. I am Hazel Hess. I just had my interview last March 16 and it went well. By the way, my Husband doesn't have job last 2007 but he has his consulting firm business.
He is an engineer but not employed. He came here and we got married December 2007. Then by November 2008, he got a job. So that's like 4 months from his starting day. I just told them about how much my husband's salary per hour and that's it. Of course both the pre screener and the consul asked me about the income for the year 2007. But I have the letter from my Husband's boss and his bank showing his good credentials too. I guess as long as you have a good job that could support you and your wife to be then everything is ok. I had the 2008 ITR too so they just scanned it. Don't worry about it ... Everything is ok and you'll be with your wife soon. Take care and if you have q's or if you don't understand what I'm saying here.just asked me or reply to me.

I am on K3 by the way to make it clear. As I have noticed that those who married here got their SSN right away or please correct me if I am wrong. This whole paperworks just drives me nuts so I've been thinking so many possibilities that I can have it this way. Well.. thanks for everything... biggrin.gif

PhilippinesVaccination before Medical Exam at St.Luke's Hospital

Hi guys,

I just want to clarify something about medical exam at SLMCEC. innocent.gif
Do i need to have vaccination shots before scheduling my medical exam? Is it necessary to have vaccination record? Will this issue may cause delay for my medical? I don't have any vaccination record except during i was a child..lol star_smile.gif I am also a healthy girl. star_smile.gif star_smile.gif star_smile.gif

I have talked to a friend who was approved for K3 visa lately. She told me that she had her vaccination shots for 3 months before she went to st. lukes for medical exam. "St lukes can't give all the required vaccination in just one day or two for there are 14 sets of vaccination, she said." unsure.gif unsure.gif unsure.gif

This are the list of vaccination needed based on the USEM letter.

Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Polio, Tetanus and Diphtheria toxoids, Pertussis, Influenza Type B, Hepatitis Type A, Hepatitis Type B, Varicella, Pneumoccocal, Rotavirus, Meningococcal, Human Papillomavirus, Zoster

I am uncertain to do what my friend did. innocent.gif unsure.gif unsure.gif

I hope to hear from those who have medical experience already..Thank you and have a nice day. kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

not really important. they will be the one who will give u shots, and it included on your medical fees already, dont worry, only contigous one will be having some problem on medical. stay healthy. good luck.

Hello ! !

I really don't know anything about all these vaccinations. Some suggested that I should go ahead and take some of it so it won't be so painful for me. And I can't imagine having all those 16 shots for only 2 days. Please help me... My Husband told me that it might be not 16 single shots because it is not like that in the US. So will you tell me that is it like that? Like having 4 shots for 7? Thank you...

I called NVC last week and they said that they have received the biographic documents...and that they are waiting for the AOS bill or AOS form...

Yeah you are all right.. I need to tell the lawyer to send me a copy of the NOA2 than go to SLMC and take the risk of missing papers.

I wanna have an early medical so that when I will receive the packet, I can relax, hehe...

Thank you guys!

Yeah you need something to show the guard like your case # cause that' what the first thing they'll asked from you. In my case, I got all my papers and I got so nervous and when the guard asked me I said nope.. So he said well that's what we need and I freakead out and finally realized that I had it my hand.. hehehe
Anyway, just sharing my funny experience. God Bless in your medical..

PhilippinesSubmission of additional document
QUOTE (topaz @ Oct 8 2009, 10:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
It's so frustrating. I had my interview on September 25th and the CO told
me that before she will approve me I should submit 1 additional document
(divorce decree) of my fiance. I submitted it via air21, and the embassy
received it Sep.29th. Although the divorce decree was already included in
the original I-129 petition, the prescreener said that the NVC did not send
yet my papers to them although they sent me the letter that I can schedule
my interview. Maybe they lost my papers because they scheduled me Sep.22nd
for my interview, but then when I went there to window Y they told me that
my file was not yet in their system. She just wrote 25th on my embassy
appointment letter. I had to rebook my flight to Cebu because my interview
was rescheduled.

My fiance already called the embassy twice and got the standard answer of
wait 6 weeks. He emailed also but no clear answer of when I can have my
visa.

Just hang in there and you'll have your visa soon. I felt for you and soon you'll be with your hubby.

PhilippinesMaking It Clear
QUOTE (Arbind.Ariadne @ Oct 7 2009, 09:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
The Consulate has finally allowed me to set my interview date. I found that out when I called up this morning. I just have a few questions:

1. I haven't received any letter yet from the Embassy. Will I be asked to mail them some documents (or copies of originals) such as NSO birth certificate, CENOMAR, NBI clearance, etc. prior to the interview date or I will only bring those during my actual interview?

- You don't need to mail all those documents. Take them with you in your interview because the pre-screener will ask for them too. Well that's in my case and I think it's how the process before - Like you have to send documents together with the forms you need to fill up.

2. My medical exam will be on October 13 (it may take another day to complete that) and the representative from the Visa Information Service said that she could give me October 27 for my interview. I told her that my fiance and I have been planning to attend his sister's wedding on October 24. I requested her to move the date to the earliest possible slot. She dropped the interview date on October 20.

-Yeah usually medicals took 2 days to complete it. It depends on how many applicants are there on that day. Specially if you are on your period, they'll ask you to go back when it's gone. I had my first part of the medical done till the physical exam and so on my first day until they asked me on my period. That was my first day so wait till it's over and went back there.

When St. Luke's declares on October 14 that I passed the medical exam, may I just walk-in for an interview on October 16 or call the Visa Information Service and reschedule my interview right away?

-I think you can't because there are people scheduled for that day. You may have to call them to reschedule it.

Another option... When I follow my interview date, October 20 (it's at 7 a.m. anyway), will the Consulate allow me to pick up the Visa on October 21 instead of letting them mail it to me to Cebu? Do I have to make this arrangement before my interview or during my interview?

-Again I would think no.. Most of you scheduled on that day would be on same time too. In my own experience, I had it for 7 AM, have my fingerprinting and some other stuffs you needed to do inside the embassy, until I got my interview at 1:15PM. There are even scheduled 6 AM and yet didn't finished early. Well, again it depends I am just saying what I had experienced. You could get some more ideas here too. I could be wrong and this might just happened to me. I am sure you'll get more ideas here..Hope I got to give you a little bit idea. God Bless in your processing...

I know it's so dragging but it will be such a wonderful time to meet his family for the first time before or at his sister's wedding. My fiance lives in California while his marrying sister resides in New York, his married sister in New Jersey, and his parents are in Pennsylvania.
I know and understand you completely...
Your ideas will be greatly appreciated. Meow!

PhilippinesFOR WOMEN ONLY:::IS IT SAFE TO GO TO ST. LUKES?

MAGANDANG ARAW PO SA INYO... smile.gif smile.gif

HI to all filipinas ( other nationalities are also welcome) who already had their medical..ive a question for u and hope u can give me an advise..do u think its safe or fine to visit St. Luke's for a medical just after the period/monthly cycle??

A lil history here-
my period is irregular or should i use the term "abnormal" and bleeds for 1 week to be precise...and not to mention "unpredictable"..dont know when its gonna hit me....im concerned because i was told that there will be series of tests to be done and one of those is the Urinalysis...i had the same test last week here in my city as my pre-med and it showed a trace of blood ( RBC --- 5-15/HPF) but obviously that was from my forthcoming period and not UTI...(Urinary Tract Infection)
Another history again-i never had UTI's BEFORE (when i was single) but my X hubby handed down that unhealthy legacy months after we got married but was cured long long time ago...anyway, to summarize, these are my concerns:

1.) will UTI cause me a problem at St. Lukes?
2.) if i go get my medical a week just after my period, will that still be traced down in my urine tests and will cause a denial/failure? or will it be fine and dandy??

if u r a doctor or had the same case like mine, would u mind sharing plsssssssssss.....advise me on what to do ..

muchas gracias a todos!

daisy

hi,
i think there's no problem with that as long as you've said it's gone now. they are right and also don't be there for your medical on your period time.. like you are having your period that day because they will not allow you to continue the medical but instead you'll have to come back when it's gone or over.
I guess for your UTI just drink lots of water a week before your medical. I had some problems like that too but I wasn;t diagnosed yet but the symptoms are really considered to be like that so I had water therapy for a week before my actual interview.
Just ask God's guidance and everything will be in control.
God Bless ! ! !

Hello - I am using SMART plugNtalk. It's like A USB key that all you are going to do is plug it to your computer. With a smart sim card, buy a load and text and call your friends and family in the Philippines like you are just there. You'll be able to send text for one piso for smart to smart, call them for just like you are there. What's so call is they can text you too if they are on their unlimited texting. You don't have to pay monthly bills because it depends on you if you want to load it or not. Just like a normal phone in the PI.
Anyway, just thought that I might want to share this to all my kababayans.

God Bless everyone !! !!

PhilippinesCustom Clearance
QUOTE (loveaboo @ Oct 29 2009, 09:19 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
My fiance sent me a prepaid phone plus $40 load with total cost of $55 ($30 prepaid phone set + $25 load). It should arrive tomorrow so I can bring it with me during my trip on Nov. 4. Today, my fiance and I both just received an e-mail from Fedex saying that the package was held up at Customs because the importer needs to pay the taxes and duties. Anyone experience this?

My fiance said that he put in the package that it's for personal use. Also, I thought that there's a minimum value for the Custom to require payment of duties and taxes and if it's for personal use, it's free of duties and taxes.
I've been looking online for the minimum amount and rules and regulations about paying duties and taxes at Customs but I can't find any. Is there anyone here familiar with it? I would really appreciate it.

Honestly if the Custom will require me to go to Manila, I'd rather let it there. It would be so much hassle to go to Manila to claim it with the heavy traffic nowadays. But if someone can suggest any idea on how to resolve it, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!!!

Hi
I had an experience like that too. My husband sent me Bible and some other books one time. Same thing the FedEx called me that I have to pay 2000 pesos so I can get or deliver my package. I was so shocked because my husband paid it plus it was so much expensive. We were both pissed off and they told me that the amount you are going to pay is depending on how much is the declared amount of the package. I guess it's better not to declare anything then but if they lost it they won't pay you because they didn't know the exact amount. Your package should be in your local FedEx office cause in my case I ended up picking it in their office instead of delivering it to my house.
Hope you'll get it soon. God Bless ! !

Philippinesbuy plan ticket for fiance
Hi ,

When my Husband bought my ticket last May, Japan Airlines wouldn't accept his credit card because they said it's a law when you are first timer immigrant you have to purchase it where you are from. So my husband sent me the money and pay them instead on cash. It's kind of pain in a butt but I am sure it's airlines laws and regulations. So what I'm saying is that you can maybe try another airlines. smile.gif

Hope that helps and God Bless ! ! smile.gif
