Africa: Sub-SaharanK1 visa interview in Accra
This is what happened on the day of my interview,My appointment was 7:30am ...I got to the US embassy 6:40am ,when i got there the security personals on duty asked us to wait under a tree to wait for them to call us ...so exactly 7:00am they asked us to form a queue,,,,, so thinking it will be first come first serve so i rush to get a better place to stand on the queue ....a lady at the entrance checked my appointment letter and asked me to get to the next door when i entered the was heavy security present including Ghana Police so the check on me to see if i have any device on me ...so they show me another door which lead me to the main consulate hall ....so when i got there the ladies at the reception took my appointment letter and asked me to have a seat .....so a guy call me to window 1 to submit all my documents and the man there was sooo nice to me he got all my document and i saw him too offloading a package which i believe the one my fiancee send to the USCIS to a folder ..then he asked me to pay my visa fee which is $240 to a cashier on my right hand side and i did that and the cashier gave me a receipt and she told me to have my seat ....so within 30mins time the guy at window 1 called me again to take my figure print .....so i waited for 3 good hours before i heard a white lady mentioned my name to come to window 4 and i like the way she sound my surname ...and he asked me to take an oath which i did...and she took a figure print of my middle figure ....then she started with the interview ..where did i meet my fiancee...the time she visited me and the time she left...what work does she do......is she married before.....what work do i do.....and all the answers i will give to her she will be computing it ...so she brought a blue chit out and she was writing on it and she told me not to make any travel arrangement till i have my visa in hand...and i checked on the chit and the date to pick was 19th October ....wooooow God has been sooo good to me and also the good people of VJ i really learned alot from vj which made this interview process with ease .

PhilippinesDo i need to wait for a mail/email from USEM about the case number?
Once you have the confirmation from the NVC that your case has been move to your embassy ...you have to wait for a week or two for you to write your embassy via email with your case number and if they have your case with them they will invite you to come for your package to continue with the process...in my case we waited for two weeks after the NVC told us they have move our case to my embassy...and when i contact my embassy via email they told me they have sent a mail in my postal box inviting me to the embassy to receive my package which i didn't receive any mail in my postal box .....so they asked me to come and pick the package if i didn't receive it in mail box and if am coming i should bring the email they sent to me which will give me entrance to the embassy ....so please wait for the embassy instruction since the medicals and the police certificate have expire date.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMailing address on I-129F and G-325A forms
from our experience the postal mail really don't work with the embassy ..they will tell you they have mail to your postal but you will look forward for it and it will not be in your mail....when you guys get approved by the USCIS and you get to know that the NVC have move your package to your embassy ...within a week or or two start writing your embassy through email with your case number which will be given to you by the NVC ...and they will invite you to come and pick your package through the email address.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMailing address on I-129F and G-325A forms

Hello Everybody and thanks for taking the time to read this.

I am an argentinian citizen, living in Argentina, engaged to an american citizen. She will file a K-1 visa petition for me to enter the US and marry her. I dont feel it is safe for me to receive mail where I currently live because bad neighbors used to destroy my correspondence in the past, and I want to make sure that my visa will be delivered to a safe place where I can pick it up, for which reason I set up a P.O. Box in the post office a few days ago.
Now I am wondering this: in which of the two forms, I-129F or G-325A -maybe on both?-, should I specify my mailing address, and in which part? My best guess based on personal research on the web is that my fiancee should specify it under question #15 of I-129F ("your fiancé(e)'s address abroad") Is that correct? I arrived to this conclusion after noticing that in "part B",question #1 of I-129F form, the address information is already being requested; so I concluded that she would have a chance to write down my PO Box information on question #15, and maybe clarify on a separate sheet that I would like to be reached at such address for further mail delivery -Meaning my K-1 visa as well as that package of other important documents that I am not supposed to open but to hand to a DHS Officer once I enter the US-. Do you think that I should specify my PO Box information somewhere on form G-325A too, which is the form I have to fill out and sign?

Any help will be enormously appreciatted :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVisitors visa while wait for K-1 approval.
Yes but the probability for you to get the Visa is low and when they refuse your report in the US embassy will not be good ..so better wait for the K-1 process which is quite time consuming but hey is all good

and also keep contacting the embassy via E-MAIL with your case number from the NVC ..sometime they will tell you they have sent your packet through the postal mail but it will not be there ...so when you write then through the e-mail the will invite him to the embassy to come and pick the packets

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTourist visa AOS to Fiance visa
I will advise you to file for the fiancee Visa which you have 100% of approval .....But for tourism Visa is likely she can't get approval......so once she comes with the Fiancee Visa then you guys can adjust for AOS ....but with the Tourism Visa you guys will have complication in the Adjustment of AOS..Think abt that.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTourist visa AOS to Fiance visa

Hello,

My girlfriend is planning to get a tourism visa to come to the USA for a few months. She is Chinese (PRC), and living and working in Malaysia. She plans to get vacation approval and then apply for the tourism visa to come to the US. We lived together for two months in Malaysia after I left Afghanistan. (I am not military. I was a contractor).

We would like to get engaged after she comes into the US. We will not tell this to anyone, basically, if she gets approved for the tourism visa.

After she gets here we would like to adjust her status to Fiance visa. Can she stay here while the visa processes, or will she have to leave according to her tourism visa, and then re enter after he fiance visa gets approved?
