I had a nightmare time with some crazy lady who denied the guy before me and was mad her bus had broken down for four hours the night before. She gave me a hard time but when I had to point out that she was giving me the wrong persons X rays and putting the wrong persons medical and photo on my file, she calmed down and thanked me for helping her.

All in all though APPROVED is a god send !! yeah to visa journey and the great people for the support !!! thanks everyone. I just got back so Im gonna snuggle up and get some rest . night night will write a full report later. kicking.gif good.gif

Thankyou janaus, i hope so, I am so nervous....... I just can't wait to come home. I am heading off tonight straight from work and have my medical tomorrow morning and interview Thursday morning then back home.

wish i could tell the future and not be so nervous.
Best of luck to ALL those who are going for the interview this week ! I hope we are ALL approved.
Thanks for the support everyone, it really does feel so much better being part of a community instead of doing this all alone. Thankyou good.gif

the way to print the scanned packet three is to first view it before saving it. Don't save the small versions first as once you view it after saving it distorts. Hope this helps, and im sure someone can explain it better than me. It took about two weeks to get packet three for me.

Good luck good.gif

£14 for courier
$131 dollars application fee- i realise I can use a credit card but if I use cash does it have to be dollars ?
£180 for the medical.

Is this all the money I need and also another question

You need $131 for the visa and at least £14 for the courier, if you want to specify a particular delivery time it will cost more.

You don't pay for the medical at your interview you pay for that at the doctor's office and mine cost £200.

Don't worry about the G325A, you would have got an RFE for that if it had mattered.

Good luck. good.gif

Thankyou very much for the info.....I will go get $131 dollars in US currency just incase the card machine is broken.

You know the geographic info for the G-325A at the bottom of the form it says put the your name in the bold box.

I haven't done that, or was my petitioner suppose to ? I realise we already sent them off and they were forwarded to London without problem, I'm just wondering.

Just thought I'd ask here as Im guessing everyone here has an answer to this question.

I sent my Packet 3 forms etc off by UK post office special delivery a few days ago and it was suppose to be guaranteed next day delivery and signed for at the visa branch of the embassy. Thing is that when I track it , it basically says that it is sat in a PO Box at the embassy. I phoned the post office to complain and they said that the US Embassy doens't actually receive mail, they simply have a PO Box which they put a note in saying that the package is waiting for them at the local sorting office and every evening someone goes from the US Embassy and signs for all the mail that they were suppose to receive.

Is this total rubbish ? , or has everyone else who sent there packet 3 back tracked had this sort of thing?? wacko.gif

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVC late in issuing EAD
Yes I had an RFE on I-485, but the first guy I spoke to said that it does not affect my I-765 timeline.
I have read in other posts that the 90 days for EAD is reset if you get an RFE. Does that include my RFE for my I-485?

Basically, anyone got any ideas how long or anything I can do to make sure I get my EAD? Now that they have the RFE for the I-485 does it normally come quick?

Its been almost three weeks since they received my RFE answer and my case has still not been 'touched' despite phoning.
Please help

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVC late in issuing EAD
Hi everyone,

I am still waiting on my EAD, and its been since April 3rd, 2008 (150 days) they received it.
I read through the USCIS website and it says to call if I-765 has been over 90 days.

I called a few times, once a guy said that the case needed elevating as it has been so long and he would transfer me to someone higher.
When she came on the phone she asked if I had an I-485 pending, I said yes. She then proceeded to say that it was due to this that I hadn't received it.
But I specifically told the previous guy and he said the two are totally INDEPENDENT and that I should have received it by now. I repeated this to her and she just kept saying it was because of the I-485. I said but that makes no sense! she hung up on me.

I tried calling back the other day and got a young sounding woman who basically said the website was wrong that it takes a lot longer than 90 days and that they are currently processing April1, 2008. I asled if there was anything I could do, she said no.

I am wondering why you get such a variety of answers and if there is anything I can do.
Please help, I need to work to support my family.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionSupport and police record problem
Thanks for that information, The reason I was taken to jail was due to the fact that we were both intoxicated and apparently Texas state whenever called to a domestic dispute with alcohol always takes the male off to jail and presses charges itself due to the fact the wife might be too afraid to. They were going to take my wife off to jail too at the time due to the fact that she was totally drunk however I begged them to just take me due to the fact she had two small children who would need to be taken care of.
I guess you never called the police on whomever you are refering to, or not knowing your circumstances I am not sure why your husband was not jailed for any length of time if you would like to pm me I will talk you through further what I was told if it is still a concern of yours.

Also, I have read through the I-134 and there are a few boxes which I think my fiance's brother will struggle with.

Where it says relationship to sponsor , what does he put ?

Also box 10 where it says I have submitted a visa petition to the bureau on behalf of....should he put my name or put none as officially it is his sister who has filed.

Also should he click box 11 as intending to make contributions ?

Sorry for all the questions we are just thankful for any help you can give as we do not want anything to go wrong.

Many thanks

I dont have a police clearance from Texas , only for the UK. However I do have a notarised copy of the Class C from Texas, would this be enough as I heard its actually hard to get a 'police certificate' in Texas for a person who is not present.
I was not sentenced to any jail time or anything as far as the 6 month ruling is concerned.

would this be sufficient ?

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionSupport and police record problem
My situation is as follows;
I previously fell in love with a texan woman (I am from the UK). I moved to Texas and eventually managed to get my temporary visa after the k3 etc. However as it turned out she was only after me for the money I had at that time and wanted the marriage to (in her mind) get a claim to it.
Once we were married she started an affair of which I find out about. She realised it would look bad to get rid of me having come to a different country and the fact that I still did everything for her and so she basically called the police and made a claim about me threatening her. I was taken of to jail and given a state appointed lawyer and given a class C misdemeanor by the Judge. Due to the fact that she then took out a restraining order I returned home. (She moved the other guy in the next day after my arrest). She took me for $100,000 and still asked for money, which i sent for her children upon return to the UK even though she was living with the other guy. I kick myself now but love can make you do stupid things :(

So basically I have a US social security number and Alien number which i filed in on the new visa application form.
I am now engaged to a wonderful Floridian woman and we have petitioned for the k1 visa. However although I make good money in the UK presently, she does not work and cannot support me.

So given the facts above, does anyone have any advice to watch out for with regard to what I think are our two tricky points:

Affadavit of support (her brother is willing to be a co sponsor and earns around $80,000 a year)
and my class C misdemeanor

Many thanks for any advice
P.s. we are waiting for our NOA2 presently from california.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionAffadavit co- sponsor
Sorry that I can't give you a definate answer however from what I am aware;

You sign a I-134 being the primary sponsor even though you are not able to fulfil the income requirements and fill out a letter stating that you are filing with a co-sponsor in order to do this.

Your parents then fill out an I -134 and sign it and get it notarised together with either;

3 recent tax returns that were filed stating their income
Or if using a bank asset basis, goto the bank and have the bank representative fill in a form stating when the bank was opened, amount deposited in the last year and the balance held.

Thats about it I think and yes you send all the information for both yourself and your parents together in the pack 3.

Good Luck

Just to follow on from the IRS return answer given above.

My Fiancee has not filed tax returns for the last three years as she had no real income. (That being the reason her brother is our co-sponsor)

I realise she has to fill in a I-134 herself as well as the co-sponsor, however how does she she the other information listed e.g.

Tax returns
Bank info etc.

Or due to the fact that she is not the monetary sponsor is ONLY her signature on the I-134 needed ??

Many thanks for your quick response;

My fiancee says that her brother does not keep his pay stubbs, and gets paid weekly therefore asking for six months worth from his employer might be an ordeal. Do you think we can get by without these.

Also if they did file jointly, where on the form is his wife suppose to sign the form ?? sorry were idiots many thanks for your help.

With him not being self employed and actually working for a company could he not get away with only his most recent tax return or do you think this is too risky.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionAffadavit co- sponsor
Hi I have the following question,'

Due to the fact my fiancee has no employment and we are applying for a US K1 petition we are using her brother as a co-sponsor for the petition on the I-134.

Q1. Her brother has a wife and children and even though he has all the information( tax returns, above poverty level, employment history etc) I recall reading somewhere that the co-sponsor must have his wife also sign the petition?

If this is true she is willing to do this however we cannot see anywhere on the form to sign?

Q2. Although he does not work for himself, should we still arrange for the past three years of his tax returns to be included in the submission ?

Q3. Bank history required.

Upon going to the bank to get an officer of the bank to give the;
Date account opened
Total amount deposited for the past year
Present balance

The bank officer said that they dont do it and have to send it off to their legal department for adjudication and then they send it back to us.

Has anyone else had this problem or was the person at the bank just not wanting to deal with us ?

Many thanks for any help supplied.

QUOTE (dazzler @ Dec 31 2007, 12:53 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi,

I received my interview fairly quick by calling the embassy and explainign my situation and desired date of travel and wedding etc, she gave me a code to e-mail and to explain this in an e-mail. I did all this and when i got home from work a few days later i had a message on the phone telling me my interview was on the 2nd of January

thats awesome !! CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations Dazzler, btw I would definately give them a call and explain that you may not have your interview letter and what they think about it, but other than that if you can't get them on the phone etc I would definately turn up and bring a copy of the email with you that you sent as a reference.

With your LND number they must have a list of appointments for that day before entry into the embassy.

Good luck !!! and thankyou for the information kicking.gif

Yeah we can do that, however as is probably the case in most people's circumstances, I do not have a job in the US until I get there and can look for one.

And unfortunately my savings are finite, we have budgeted for about two months without any income being available as my fiance does not work. Therefore we must be in the apartment in order to be looking for work while our savings are dwindling.

If I don't have a job by April, then we don't eat, simple as that really, now while I could pay for february and at least have a place to stay like you say, this is cutting down on the 'looking for work ' time.

But it is a valid point thankyou. Don't suppose anyone reading this is an accountant in Tampa FLA who could offer a poor guy a job ?? ? anyone ? biggrin.gif

Wait in line like the rest of us buddy!

Ha ha ha your a card !! First of all I have been waiting long enough to justify asking a simple question about how to do things as quick as possible! This is not about 'jumping the queue' as I have already been waiting since April 2007.

The point of these forums and the people on it is to give advice on how to this the quickest way possible and correctly.

There is no need to be rude.

To the others who offered helpful advice, many thanks and the reason I am asking is because we have been put back sooooo long that unfortunately, due to our personal circumstances we enetered into an apartment agreement which starts on February 6th 2008 and will cost us $2790 (don't ask why) on that date, so it would be nice to actually be there to use it. If we pull out now we would have no where to live.

Thanks again for all the good advice. good.gif

Merry Christmas to you,

Hey I was just wondering how to do this the best way I can.

We have now received our Packet 3 from london, and I believe we have everything we need execpt one thing ;

A marriage certificate from a previous marriage to a woman in texas. I have the divorce certificate but no marriage one. (will this cause problems do you think?)

We are ready to send back the packet three however I need to get the interview before February as we have an apartment booked for then already.

How do you word your statement saying you wanted it early, do you send it to any special department or address, and is there any special number you can call to talk to someone about an early appointment?

I called the £1-25 per minute number but they wouldn't give me any help really.

Any thing you could tell us would be much appreciated.

Merry Christmas

Many thanks for those replies,
Did anyone else notice on the USCIS website when it updated on around June 15 it suddenly had two entries for I-129F processing on I think Nebraska for Feb 07 and March 07. Then a few days later it switched and California and it now both say Dec 06.

Seems strange but I figure this was a truer indicationt that they dont want you to see.
