US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	validity of priority date	hi guys..me and my fiance are a little worried about the validity or expiration of our application regarding the priority date and the interview date. we are trying to complete for now the requirements needed for the interview but the problem is the 4 months validity that they say of our application and it is going to expire this march but we cant do the interview this march yet and as ive looked through the available dates for interview only one date appears which is march 11. the question is that will the embassy automatically extend the validity of our application?	stonefreakjen	Not Telling	0	2014-02-17 07:20:00

I clicked no coz mom is here in the Philippines, and no immediate family in the USA. Hope I didn't misunderstand their question about immediate family. Hehehe. My interview is on the 6th. I believe it is not an issue to declare them in the form. I declared them all in my ds 160. USEM is known for not accepting co-sponsor. You should email them and asked if they will or you can take your chances at the interview. After you marry you will need to adjust status (AOS) in which the fiancial requirements a little harder to meet.    http://www.visajourn...content/k1k3aos   From the way you explain your situation it sounds like you need to find a new job that pays more or get a co-sponsor.  i am about to schedule an appointment for the interview but me and my fiance are still waiting for the 1040 and his uncle's w2 and 1040 to arrive.. just confuse coz here some members said i need to have an I-864 together with the I-134 form..just worries that the embassy in manila wont accept our co-sponsorship.. btw thank you for replying	stonefreakjen	Not Telling	0	2014-02-09 07:40:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	affidavit of support	Suggest you search the recent posts regarding the I-134 and level of income. The letter of the law regarding I-134 income requirements is 100% of the poverty guideline. That means for a family of two (2) it's: $15,510.00 USD per year. But, keep in mind that the adjudicator is fully aware that later in the process you will need to file the I-864, which requires 125% of the poverty guideline, which for a family of two (2) is currently: $19,387.00 USD per year. Note that its even higher if you live in Alaska or Hawaii.    Sorry to say that if your fiance's income is only 12K per year that you will not be able to qualify for fiance visa. However, there is an option to include a co-sponsor (aka joint sponsor) to accompany the I-134. Anyone who is considering filing a K1 and their income falls below, or between 100% and 125% of the current poverty guideline should consider getting a co-sponsor. yeah thats what i know of too,but the thing is which form shouldwe use? the I-134 or the I-864? and we have his uncle as a co-sponsor..and the thing is they said in manila us embassy they dont accept co-sponsors..	stonefreakjen	Not Telling	0	2014-02-09 07:26:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	interview k1 visa	hey guys i passed!! yey! evn if my fiance's income is below the mark for a specific household members ..the filipino consul said at first that its low then he did some computations and honestly i got nervous for a bit but after awhile he kept asking about my previous employment abroad and some questions about me being a nurse..he said its only the petitioner alone thats entitled for a sponsorship but after a few words he said im good so far coz since because of my profession he can see that i can get a job easily...and so the american lady consul part came..she just asked for the wedding plans and if im planning to take nclex exam and if im gonna work there eventually..i said yes and thats it she said congratulations and didnt even ask for any evidence if relationship and even any co-sponsor... thank u guys..	stonefreakjen	Not Telling	0	2014-03-12 01:11:00
