Hello Rina, Aurea, Ness&Keith, Jayzar and all my fellow VJ'rs!!

Since Rina started this forum to most of us of the same case status, I just wanted to THANK YOU ALL as of yesterday after talking to NVC (live) and also confirmed it with their recording this evening, my wife's case has just been COMPLETED!!! PRAISE THE LORD and EVERYONE who kept us in their prayers, encouraging us and teaching us the proper way in completing the forms, etc. This forum has been awesome and really been informative and very helpful for the most part. On behalf of my wife and I, we would like once again to Thank You EVERYONE as each of you has been so helpful! Rina and other's, we shall continue to pray for you guys' case to be completed as well. I know that my wife's journey is still not over but I thank the Lord for His grace and will to where we are now at this point.

Again, thank you EVERYONE and I hope to see more completed cases before this month is up!!

May God continue to Bless us all!

Again, sorry to hear such mishap from NVC.

We'll be praying that once and for all NVC completes it!! Oh, this the second week na for my wife's case as I hope to hear something later this week. Thanks for creating this forum for everyone who are all in the same situation as Rina....waiting for NVC's completion!! =

Finally!!!! WE HAVE APPROVAL!!

Halu Rina and fellow VJ'rs,

Darn it!! So finally there's news but bad news!! Now, I am getting worried na for my wife's case and now I wouldn't be surprised if NVC loose my docs and I get an RFE. Arrrgghhhh!!!

Im calling NVC again today...so hard to get thru!! Will let you guys know if my wife's case get RFE!!

I think Aurea and others are right on, I think this is just a way for NVC to delay our case but darn it, to say that missing docs is not right!! To get those certificate again takes time!! NVC could just be honest about it!! Again Rina, just wish that we knew how the internal process is from NVC. So many questions and no answers!!

November Interview at US Embassy Manila

Hi RandyandRina,

I think we're almost in the same time frame as far as DS230 is concern. Your theory I think is correct and I very much agree. I've been calling DOS and NVC all this week and last week for my wife's case to see why its taking so long. When I called last week NVC told me that they received my IV fee - Aug. 20th. I called again this week and NVC told me they received it Aug. 23. So now im confused!! Anyways, the latest news that NVC told me which I called last nite was that I should be expecting my DS230 docs this week as it was sent out on Aug. 29th. again this is according to NVC. I hope they are right about it as I don't know why I am getting different dates. I was looking at my time table as well and like you, I hope before this month is over that NVC complete its process and sent it to USEM back home. Then, I also hope that my wife will get interview by November or sooner!!

380$ fee hasnt been encashed yet

I received my IV bill on August 9, 2007 and sent it the next day – August 10, 2007 and haven’t gotten anything back since. I called NVC the last week of August and they said that they received my IV bill on August 20, 2007 and should wait 4-6 weeks for the DS-230. I then called the State Dept. the next day and they told me that its currently being processed and be more patient. Is it just the peeps who’ve gotten their IV bill on the month of August?? I see here that most of the peeps got their IV bill the first week of August.

why its too long to get the mail?

Peeps, this is what I just posted a while ago from another discussion but I think we're all in the same boat!!

I got a letter that just came in yesterday in the mail from NVC and it goes something like this.....

_____OF-230-I: __________________________________________________________
The NVC has received the requested Affidavit of Support (I-864) for this case. However, we are still waiting for the Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230). Please submit the form according to the instructions. If you need another form, please visit http://Travel.state....info_13356.html to download a new form and complete instructions.

The thing that is puzzling is that for a couple of weeks now, i've been waiting for the Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230) to arrive as I never received it. I called NVC almost everyday for the last two weeks and they have assured me that i will be getting the DS-230 packet shortly. And now I got this letter yesterday saying they're waiting/missing this in order to complete the process?? What ever happened to the DS-230 packet that I was waiting on??? I am btw, the Choice of Agent so it should have came in. Anyways, regardless, I told my wife to go ahead download the form, fill it out and sign it and send along with the other required documents. I am actually calling NVC now as I write this reply to find out more as why I never received the DS-230 and about this checklist letter I received!

So for those who are waiting for your DS-230, please keep at it in calling NVC!! I call DOS as well and see if both are in-sync. I tell you guys this much, everytime I call NVC, I get different dates on when it was received and generated!! Of those times I called, NCV told me that my IV bill generated on Aug. 20th, another day they said it was generated on 23rd & and earlier this week they told me the 27th. So I honestly don't know which one is correct.

I'm with you Rina!! Likewise, I will not be accompanying my wife when she goes for her interview. I will wait for my wife here and start planning in getting together her SSN, driver's license, joining accts., etc.! With reading and talking to peeps here who have done the interview already without their spouse, I think my wife will be okay by herself.

We're almost there peeps....just a little more patient and trusting everything to God!!

DS-230 Question

Okay VJ'rs with the same scenario....I just got off the phone from State Department and before that I talked to NVC (took me all morning btw but finally got a answer). BOTH parties (NVC & State Dept.) agreed that for questions #1 and #2 on Part 1 of the DS230 application - if you and your spouse got married and then has gotten your passport afterwards (like for my case, I got married in the Philippines last Nov. 06 and then my wife later applied for a Phil. passport, got it and has her married name on the passport) then you will need to put your spouse (s) MARRIED NAME (as shown on the their passport) for BOTH questions #1 and #2. Basic rule according to NVC and State Dept. is that they will go with what's on your spouse(s) name on his/her passport. Moreover, this will also apply for Part 2 questions #26 and #27. Hope that helps a few here!!

DS-230 Question

Hi Rina,

I believe for AUREA's case which I asked about last week, her DS230 was sent back because of question #2. NVC said it should have been the married name like the one on the passport. EVEN though it clearly states "If married woman, give maiden name". I tried contacting NVC regarding this and haven't been able to get thru. I am actually on the phone on hold now as I typed this!

I hope I can clear this up and get a straight answer from NVC. My wife is sending her stuff this week (DS230 & required docs) and I want to make sure on this one. I will let you guys know what answers I get from NVC.

I MADE A MISTAKE SENDING DS-230 IN ADVANCE

NVC duplicate letter

I received the same thing, actually I received a checklist letter indicating that NVC was waiting for my wife's DS230 application along with the required documents. Then after a week and a half later, I got another letter - my wife's packet 3. Rina and everyone else here is correct, when in doubt call NVC!! I called them to see which cover sheet to use and NVC said it does not really matter. However, after talking to NVC and a few personnel, they advised me to use the coversheet that came in packet 3!!

I tried to trace the route of the ip address of that site and it blocks off as soon as it connects to this server in PI. Not that im trying to hack in or anything. Im just trying to see if its a connection issue.

To my fellow VJ'rs...... I would like to take this opportunity to THANK each and everyone of YOU who has helped me and my wife's ordeal in obtaining her IR1 visa. This site has been a really GREAT help and I just can't say more about you all. Thank you very much for the time and commitment that you all have given me and my wife throughout the whole immigration process. I would like to especially give my all appreciation to RINA (RandyandRina) as she has been an "angel" in disguise. Like Rina already stated on her thank you post last week, there are so many of you that helped me and yes it would probably take me a whole entire day or more to note all of you.

I will continue (like many of our fellow VJ'rs who's journey has ended) to share my knowledge and experiences in helping out those who are still in their journey!!!

Yesterday - November 20th @ USEM (Manila) - after a favorable interview, my wife was granted her IR1 visa. Praise the LORD for HE is so GOOD!!

I hope to post my wife's experiences soon e.g. medical, interview, etc.
