Hello everyone in visa journey,

I have received the E-mail from USCIS this afternoon regarding Post Decision Activity,and it says as followes.

" Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On February 22, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.


For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations."

My question is am I on right track or am I faster than normal?

I read many applicants talking about 150 or more days of waiting for approval.

Question: has anyone ever asked the Embassy for help in expediting a K-1 application from the start? My finace is in the Philippines, in a very poor purok, nowhere near an urban section or town. To get to her village, you have to cross a river on a raft. I emailed the embassy requesting help while I am finishing my paperwork to file this week. I am in hte process of writing the cover letter now requesting expedition based on humanitarian, and extreme emergent situations. I am also planning on contacting my senators/state representatives requesting assistance. I thought I knew poverty until I saw the village. The village made a campground look good. It was very much off the beaten path for anyone but pinoys.

you may open a hornet's nest asking for this. It may look like she is marrying just to get away from poverty. Immigration is asking you to prove relaionsthip not poverty. Always can ask Senator for help. I did in March of last year and finally got a call in October. Still am waiting. got another call February 4th. Hope your Senator works faster than mine.

you do not need phone history to send in 129 application. you need it for teh interview.
all proof is given at interview unless immigraiotn asks for it now. So. send the certified letter requesting phone history and in letter state you want a copy of it every month from now on. They have to provide it. Anyone who bills you for a service must provide what you are billed for when you request it. Also, it is not a bad idea to consult a lawyer.
the process is not easy not matter what anyone says.

I have had Net10 service since April. I NEED call history for the I-129F correct? What I have is my calls to my fiance via Skype and Tel3, both available online, however it shows VERY short call times because I call him and he calls back to talk long periods being it's much cheaper for him to call me than me to call him. ANYWAY, Net10 has just told me over the phone that it's impossible to get a copy of call history without a NOTORIZED LETTER stating why I want this information and FAX it to them, which will then take THIRTY DAYS!!!?!?! What IS this?! My I-129F is ready to be mailed by Monday! EXCEPT for this now... WHAT DO I DO?!??

so need to check these fees on USCIS site or with your attorney

I-129F: $340 when you file

visa fee: $350 at embassy for interview

AOS: $1070 when in the states and married to AOS

You should probaby do new G325 and send to the office stating the errors and correcitons.
My RFE was 4 pages of guesitons and the evidence weighed over 25 pounds when we sent it back in.

When should we expect to get this? It usually comes after NOA1 right?

What concerns me is that they only depend on reltionship. Why? after 9/11 this process should be about loyalty to the US. the petitioner and receiptent should take long questioner on views and beleifs of the US. I took 1000 quesitoner for state job one time. This should be manitory. Anyone of us can prove we are married, but an investigation into loyality and our country's safety should be the issue here. When my case is done, i would like to work on immigration reform and seriously get rid of visa lottery. To me when they offer free visa to someone from poor countries who have to prove 2 years of college and a sizeable bank account, it is a way for evil forces to contact the winners and get a finanail hold over them. I am not for terrorists coming here or for them to sponsor anyone else.

While I read these forums everyday and like many others on here, I am waiting patiently for this long process. I know it gets difficult at times waiting but I think we need to really think about how important this long process is. I know no one wants to be taken by a scam, and no one believes it could happen to me, but the fact is scams happen every day. I read so many great stories on here about 2 people that are in love waiting to be together and I know that most of the time that is the case. I also read stories of misery and how people change once they get to the US. I think these cases are few but they do happen. I myself, am grateful that we have a system that does not just open its borders up for all to enter. Many people have died making this country the great place it is. It upsets me to read stories of peoples lives being ruined because they thought someone really loved them. Sometime love truly is blind, and I am grateful that we have people who are trained to find these individuals who use the system. I think sometimes we lose focus on the reason for the wait. While I patiently wait along with you, I remind you, there is a reason for the wait and the process. True Love is patient, is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness.

She needs to copy it for her records and send you the original. Signed in black ink. she can overnight the letter. Fed Ex will connect with service in your country and get it to you.
It takes 4 days for me to get things from Morocco.

you need 129 F, g325 for each of you, letters of intent to marry (there are samples online just google it) and the fee. He is in england so your processing will be a lot faster than some other countries. Recently engaged, but together for 3 1/2 years, Scott and I have decided to go ahead and file for the K-1 Visa and I am anxious to get the process going....

I've spent the majority of my afternoon printing off several copies of documents and paperwork we need to fill out.
Currently I'm in Atlanta and he's in London and was hoping/wondering if there would be ANYONE at all who would be willing to help me walk through the process of the paperwork/filing/fees step by step??
I've read the guides over and over but I think I am having a hard time grasping where to begin and how.... :help:

We are also going to be going with a co-sponser (my mother) and am wanting to know where we begin with that as well?

How long between sending off the first packet of paperwork/fees to him being able to fly here and us get married does it take? I noticed for some people it has taken what seems like no time at all and others it's been months and months of waiting.

Any help is so tremendously appreciated!!!!

Well, get all the records you can and start saving your chats and emails. even 123 greeting cards on here which are free show relationship. and now, there is a place on the site to print them out. anything you have to show you connect, talk, love each other is wht they look for.

I'm kinda worried because I only have some love cards from My Fiancee...I used to save chat history but since My computer messed up the mesages have been deleted. and also My Fiancee never saved any but we do have lots of phone records and also atm receipts and packages receipts. I am a subscriber of PLDT dsl package and it only costs 1 peso per minute calling USA and I also have 30 mins free calls every month. but since we got magic jack I only have few calls made using my landline whenever Internet connections or majick jack fails to work..we also have lots lots of pictures together to present but still I am kinda worried. Unfortunately my Fiancee gave me his laptop because mine didn't work no more.that's why when he flew back to U.S he didn't use computer much..only when he visits his mother then we could get on skype...can anyone tell me if it's just ok? thanks

My fiance has never been out of Vietnam but at the same time she is outside of the United States for more than a year.

This question is very confusing.

first you applu for 129 and do not send any of this evidence unless they ask for it.
the instucitons are clear with the application instructions. at this point it is application, passport photos, letters of intent to marry in 90 days of arrival and the biographies. Can't remember about passport so look at instuctions for the applicaiton. All this other stufff is be required for the interview. and hotel recipts need to have the applicant's name (the US citizen). but you can explain this i am sure if they aren't.

Just a quick question while we agonise over our I-129F package over and over.

We have put together documentary evidence of our meeting within the last two years, including scans of passport pages and boarding cards (we've made one visit each way), five colour photographs showing us both, as well as incidental bits and pieces such as hotel bills.

However, I've noticed that the hotel bills from here in the UK don't show both of our names. It's not generally how it's done here - the person who pays (this time, me with my card) has their name on the bill and not the person they're staying with. They clearly show that it was a double room, two occupants, and the dates tie in with the air travel evidence and photos, but without her name are we wasting our time including them? We don't have any hotel bills from the US because we stayed at her parents' house.

Apart from that, we've put in photocopies of letters and packages sent via snail-mail to one another, clearly showing postage date on the postmark, and my international phone bill showing, er, numerous calls to her. One thing we haven't bothered to include are any internet-related items - emails, Skype logs, Google Talk IM logs, and so on. These would run to literally reams of paper, and the general opinion of people who've been through London is that they generally aren't seen as necessary.

But my main question is about the hotel bills - I only just realised that they don't actually say who I was staying with! Is that going to be a problem?

I was hoping someone might be able to help with a little information. I was vising my (now fiance, K1 petitioner) in the US. I'm from the UK. I sepnt 89 days in the US, then went to Canada with a view to returning to the US for a month before going home to the UK. To make sure this was ok we called USCIS and were told that this would be fine (incorrectly informed it seems, as this was not ok).

Upon trying to re-enter the US, I was denied under section 217.4(A)(1).

(a) Determinations of excludability and inadmissibility . (Redesignated as (a) effective 4/1/97, previously (b); 62 FR 10312 )

(1) An alien who applies for admission under the provisions of section 217 of the Act, who is determined by an immigration officer not to be eligible for admission under that section or to be inadmissible to the United States under one or more of the grounds of inadmissibility listed in section 212 of the Act (other than for lack of a visa), or who is in possession of and presents fraudulent or counterfeit travel documents, will be refused admission into the United States and removed. Yes, there are 2. Moroccan citizens must obtain a (1) fiche anthropometrique(can be obtained by presenting National ID card the new format National ID card only), stamped self addressed envelope and a fee to the Service de L'anthropometrie) and (2) a casier Judiciaire from the Central Police station. this takes about a week to get the one and then he has to have it translated into English. tell him to do this immediately.

and we got sent 2 days after they recieved it to NVC. Trust me, no one had time to even read any of it.
it was a box of information and affidavits and everything you can imagine.
so, depends on who processes your RFE
that is all I can figure.

I am assuming you put both spellings of your name on the applicaiton. One would be under the question of allias you have used. And, they will look at your returns. Your father is co-sponsor. You are also, in this case, co sponsor. Both incomes are important.

Do you have a nearby IRS office. I went to mine about 50 miles away and at the front desk I got certified copies of last 3 years. YOu can call but be prepared for an hour on hold. Do not have them faxed. NVC will want to see original ceritfication stamp.

This is the US government. What is important here is that they recieive the fees. so, to lawfully marry here, the K-1 or CR-1 application is needed. I knwo my step daughter went to Canada and then married but US does not accept that. Not since 9/11.

Today was my interview. I was not approved nor declined. This was interesting to me. Instead I am still pending. They told me I must send more proof via aramex to washington and so forth and then I will have my definite answer. Has anyone experienced this before?

Is this illness reoccuring so it will affect your income in the future. YOu sign applicaiotn giving them permission to look into anything they want for informaiton on income, character and financee. Homeland Security can even look into your chats and emails. This process opens up your whole life for inspection.

Phone calls, chats, emails, cards, SMS messages, Print them out and orginaize them. Don't be nervous. Be confident. Let them know you really love this woman. If she can be in Morocco to support you, it would be best. Our interview is the 26th. I fly our next week to be outside the embassy. also, it is good to have letters (afidavits) of support of the realtionship from your family. Many have helped you with a lot of suggestions and they know what they are talking about. You should ask for a certified copy of the statement made by the CO saying your dad is a citizen. My daughter in law was born in the US when her british parents were working here. She has dual citizenship. We also have that agreement with Canada. Your father is US citizen, you also are dual citizen. Just do the paperwork.

This actually is good proof of a relationsip. Don't worry. They really just want to see you do talk. Think they had time in 2 days at USCID to read my 2000 pages.?? no, they wanted it but sent me on to NVC is 2 days after my 4 page RFE and 25 pounds of evidence.

i have abit of an awkward and embarassing issue here. Me and my fiance just filed for the k-1 today. My fiance in the U.S who just filed for me sent in all the appropriate documents, proof, etc. He had a good amount of papers together from our conversations over the time we have been dating and he just realized and told me he completly forgot to edit (black marker out) our "sexual talk" which we usually have quite alot of in our convos, we are also into some strange things too (which i wont mention) which i dont think helps our situation... He already sent the papers and everything today.Im COMPLETLY embarassed. I thought you were suposed to marker that stuff out, are you? will anything go wrong if the USCIS sees that kinda talk? :(

After receiving my NOA2, my understanding is that me and my fiancee now need to prepare for the interview and submit some forms prior to the interview. We are petitioning for a K1 Fiancee Visa.

My questions are:

1) Do me and my fiancee only need to complete and submit forms that are classified as "immigrant" forms, or also the "non-imigrant" forms?

2) Which of the following forms below are we not required to complete and submit:

* Form DS-230 Part I * Form DS-230 Part II * Form 169 * Form GIV-8 * Form DS-156 * Form DS-157 * Form DS-156K * Form GNI-2 * Form I-134 * Form OF-169 * Packet 3 * Packet 4

3) I understand that I'm the "petitioner", my fiancee is the "beneficiary", but who is the "applicant"?

It seems like the same forms are sometimes used for multiple Visa types, which creates alot of confusion, stress and wasted time trying to figure things out. But what else would you expect from beaurocratic forms? :-)

Yes, my husband took all kinds of proof, emails, photos, chats, phone calls. they did not look at them, they just said no to the K-1. So, now we are in CR-1 and hoping. One month of chats was over 1000 pages (2 reams of paper). We talk every day unless one has to travel or something.

No, he says I pay them the day of interview at the embassy.
and the embassy sent him a list of needed items. He sent me a checklist. I have prepared all things again and copies.
I just asked because no one else is paying anything at the embassy
Adil did pay when he originally went for K-1 but I knew about that.
The $404 was money i want to use before Ramadan starts to see a little more of Morocco. And i am afraid not to use the cash for car rental if embassy really requires it.

I printed out my reciept complete with the bar code. Trust me I leep everything after I had to provid the 25 pound box of evidence for the RFE. Even had to send death certificate for my dad who has been gone 22 years now. Not sure how that shows I have a relationship.
so, anyway, at this point, I am frustrated.

Do you have a receipt where you paid NVC? A bank statement saying you paid each of the fees? There is no reason you would have to pay the fees twice once its paid and accepted and posted as paid... The ONLY fee to be paid at interview would be if you are K1 and you;re not so we can rule that out. The only other thing you may need to pay is the courier fee which would send your visa to the applicant once its done. That isnt the amount of the visa fee so your attorney is really mistaken. Your Case would not be sent to embassy or have interview scheduled until your fees are properly paid. They would hold it until you paid the fees.

You won't have to pay another fee... i can imagine how confusing it is for you!!!

He just sent list of evidence required.
All the things I provided to USCIS and NVC
Last night we went round and round in emails and he says I need to pay this.
I can not find any other intervieew in Morocco that has to pay again. Just the $131 for K-1 but I am CR-1

What kind of evidence did the lawyer send you that shows you will have to pay more fees at the interview? If NVC says all fees are paid I would think that is it and you just go for the interview... you may have a courier fee for the visa to be sent but other than that if you;re filing cr1 then the fees are paid before the interview.

Please do no tmove this topic to Morocco I need help. Received our interview for CR-1. Lawyer forwarded list from NVC. It states fee As $ which means fees are Paid, The $88 and $404. Lawyer forwarded long list of evidence to me showing I need to pay $404 at embassy day of interview. We are going round and tound about that as seems n one else pays another fee at the interview in Casa. He says it is embassy processing fees and it is required. Anyone know about this. I posted this quesiton in Morocco under CR-1 and didn't get any answers. Is there a hugh fee for the interview? Seems i am the only one asked to pay this.
