IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Locked out os USCIS website?	This evening when I tried to log into the USCIS website to check for any activity I was not able to log in and I got the following message "It was reported to us that your computer or internet gateway has been locked out for a select period of time. This is due to an unusually high rate of use. If you feel this has occurred incorrectly, please contact the Customer Service Center for assistance at 1.800.375.5283." Has anyone else every had this happen to them? I do log in once or twice every day just to check for touches or other activity but I never expected to get locked out. This has happen to me too several time I called this morning and the customer service rep stated they are updating information on the websites and pertaining to cases she suggested to try again later this evening . The certificate may be obtained from the RGD in the same manner as described for a birth certificate. The document appears on security paper of a different type than that for the marriage, birth, death and adoption certificates. The security paper for the Certificate of No-Impediment to Marriage is 8.5 x 11 inches in size. Post no longer accepts the older, typed version, which appeared on RGD letterhead. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K-1 Submit in 2 weeks...a bit nervous	I will be submitting our I-129F packet in a couple short weeks (fiancee will be signing while I'm in JA). I didn't think that I would experience nervousness... Don't get me wrong, I'm so excited about my sweetheart being here and us starting our lives together - its just all of the unknowns (marital success, employment, extended family, etc.)... I'm curious, has anyone had these feelings, concerns/fears?? Did you share this with your fiance(e)? Yes! I went through it my now husband been through it and we are still going through it. I believe it is all part of the process. We discussed it when he was still in Jamaica and as other have said he going through it too.It is a long process and take time, work, and patience. I will be honest it not easy and there are many of time you both may get pissed off at each other but that comes along with any relationship. Do what you heart tells you to do. I made sure the letter of intent said we would marry within 90 days in a state where it is allowed by law.   I did exactly the same...I explicitly mentioned a state where it is allowed by law, and that does NOT have a residency requirement (MA). All you have to do is either fax/email the statement, and then bring everything else with you the day of the interview.   Was Packet 3 the same one they have online?   I just got my NOA2 last night, and I'm trying to get ready for the interview, hopefully ASAP! I obtained my UK Police Certificate a few weeks back.   Just follow (precisely) the instruction on the form, send everything they ask you to, and after a few weeks, you will have your certificate delivered at your doorstep.   Very straightforward, but also sort of expensive! I understand what you're saying, and completely agree with you; very unfortunate, but the reality of things nonetheless! I lived in the States for four years while I got my BS and completed OPT. Unfortunately, before securing my student visa, I had another F1 visa denied (hence no more VWP for me). Even at that time, I was already in a relationship with a USC (the one and only), and after my first negative experience at the US Embassy in Rome, I assured the CO that I had NO intention whatsoever to live illegally in a country with no rights, when I could live anywhere in Europe with a EU passport (that I waved at him!). If I didn't have the need to apply for a tourist visa, I would definitely request my ESTA and fly to the US (always being very clear and honest with whomever I would have in front of me). Sadly, I do need a visa now, and truly wish I could get it, so that I could go back "home" before returning to Italy for my K1 interview. After all, home is where the heart is, isn't it? To everyone else, I understand the requirements for the "strong ties" to one's country, but I just don't understand why anyone would "overstay" when they can go back to their own country (once they have an interview date) and go through with the process. It took TSC 65 days, so I can't really complain, knowing it will (hopefully) be a smooth transition to NVC and US Consulate.   For the record, we will reside in FL (no same-sex marriage) and will marry in MA (my partner is originally from there). I was not specific. I am still waiting to hear back, no rfe no noa2 yet. We'll see what happens.   We did exactly the same thing, but still no RFE nor NOA2. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	November 2013 TSC Filers	Well I called the State Department about our case number which I got and was told it was sent to the NVC which I thought was the same as the state department, guess I was wrong.I called the NVC and they received it on my Honey's birthday, it's going through administration process and I should call early next week to see if it will be sent to South African embassy. I wish I knew what information I need to send my honey so I can better prepare. Good luck all!   well you are about to hit the interview phase. At this stage he needs to get his civil documents when they ask him to like immunization record if available for the mdeical, police records and so on and you will need to provide him with the affidavit of support and supporting documentation to show proof of financial support e.g. W2, tax returns, pay stubs, job letter and so on. Read the guides, some items may be consulate specific so you will have to find out what your embassy is looking for. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	November 2013 TSC Filers	The fee of $240 per visa comes when the embassy notifies you that they have received the case from NVC (package 3).  Every US Embassy works different.  In the case of the US Embassy in Bogota, Colombia, I would have to pay upfront using my credit card on a website that they have.  At that point, they'll release the consular calendar on the website to show what days are available for the interview.       Yes that is true they each operate diferently. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	November 2013 TSC Filers	Thanks Empress, I was reading here and on NVC website that your put in some kind of que and wait ( yet again ) for your number to be called then pay ( yet again ) some sort of fees, so since you and some others are way ahead in this,, I'm depending on your udates and guidence I'm just anxious to see my man next week..... Thanks again   Am not sure about the queue part from my understanding and what I was told from the NVC personnel that once they assign the case number they send it off to the consulate that they don't keep them long in their office (in my case 2 days after being assigned a case number it was sent to the embassy). As far as the fee payment unfortunately we do have another fee to pay which the point in time that you pay is dependent on the process at the individual consulate/embassy, as I have seen that some members post in order to get an interview date the need to pay upfront and others allow you to pay at the interview. It all depends. I guess as we get to that point we will have to get embassy specific details for our cases. Like I have said I will give all information that I can based on my personal experience. So now it gets sent to the NVC. In my case I received a text and e-mail exactly 1 week after the NOA2 e-mail that it was shipped to the NVC. Usually the trend is to wait about a week or 2 after NOA2 and then call NVC to see about getting the case number. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.  Does this mean we have an interview date? How do we find when it is?...They said they just mailed it out today so why does it say something about an interview already?     Just got the same thing on mine. Think it means they are sending it to the consulate. That might just be the generic verbage they use once a file is transferred, because it I understand it clearly there are a few steps to be completed upon receipt at the consulate by us before we are issued an interview date.
