US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	packets	Hi all, I recieved my packets today. But I have some questions. they say that I must send one form 179 as soon as I can to the embassy before the interview. If I don't. They can't continue the proces. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Peru Doctors	Hello, We are on the last part of applying for our visa. My fiance has recieved the packet and called the Doctor for an appointment. There are to be three Doctor's that are approved for this process, however one is traveling and the other two are not available until June 4th. Our Interview is for June 5th and we would prefer not to wait until the last moment. Does anyone have info on the Doctor's available for this process in Peru. Justo hable con mi esposo y dice que un amigo suyo que vive en Belgica hizo lo mismo... es decir, viajo unos 4 meses antes de que iba a expirar su pasaporte andino, y lo renovó en Lima, aprovechando que estaba en Peru. No creo que vayas a tener nigun problema... Hi Marilu, I just spoke to my husband and he says that a friend of his that lives in Belgium did the same thing... basically, he traveled 4 months before his passport expired and took advantage of the fact that he was in Peru to renew it in Lima. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Expired passport??	Hola a todos.... Yo tengo viviendo 2 anos aqui en Usa. En Julio de esta ano estare viajando a mi pais de vacaciones x 2 semanas. Pero estaria viajando con mi pasaporte 5 meses antes k este expire. Osea estoy viajando en julio 2010 y mi pasaporte expira diciembre 2010. Siempre tuve entendido k para viajar a cualquier pais tenias k tener minimo 6 meses d ke este expire. Pero yo estoy viajando a mi propio pais. Si no tuviera en viajar estaba pensando renovarlo mi pasaporte en Lima aprovechando mi estadia alli. Puedo hacer esto de renovarlo ya k soy residente aqui en Usa pero soy peruana de nacimiento.Agradeceria su ayuda Hello everbody......I from Peru. I came Usa 2 years ago and I am traveling to Peru en July for vacationes. But I will traveling with my Peruvian passport 5 moths before this expire....I always heard that when you are traveling you need atleast 6 months before expire. But I am traveling my country. My concern is if I am gonna have problems in inmigrations. Another question......If I don't have any problems . I was thinking to renew my passport in Lima during my vacations. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Peru Fiance Visa Interview ???	Well. First time I am posting I am a USA citizen, my fiaince is from Peru started gathering the info needed. I should recieve from my love (DHL) by next week then I will send off. Brief History: I met Marilu in October 2004. I was traveling to Peru for business about 4 or 5 times a year.\ We started a realtionship. I fell in love with her very quickly.... but.... I was married. SHe got to know me, and knew I was not happily married and was there for my children. I came to realize that it was better for my children if I am happy so..... I separated from my wife in March of 2006 Finally in December of 2007 my wife signed the divorce and in January of 2008 it was final. Me and my sweet Marilu shoud have our papers in by the next month. I know the length or time till we get approved is unpredictable, I am guessing 6 to 7 months. My first question 1. what have others experienced for time from Peru 2. I am confused about the interview. Will I need to go to Peru for the final interview or am I interviewed in the states. 3. I received the letter the visa request was sent to Peru, it was dated April 30, so I called the Consulate today and they gave me an interview date of June 5th YEA I bought the ticket today, be there on the 3rd.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	We got the visa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!	Hello everyone, Today we had our interview and all was very easy and fast. We had one small problem about when and where to pay for the visas but everyone was helpful and the bank was close. The man who did our interview was bored and he had few questions for us. He did ask Marilu if I was her husband and .................. She said not ( was a trick question) He looked at our pictures for a few seconds after he put a pink sticker on the back of Marilu's and Jaffet's passports but he said nothing. So I had to ask are we approved????. He said '' yes, you have a good life, good bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . We were there for 2 hours and finished. We want to say thanks to everyone for all their help. My love and her son will be traveling beginning July!!!!!!! Good luck to all who are starting. If we can be any help please write. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Packet 3 received!	Hello, As Shannon said later you will have many papers got, Certificate policem exam medic, etc..... Do you have interview date?????. Id you don't. It would be a good idea call the embassy I am sure they will give you that information. I got my interview date by phone, one month before. Later I got my packets. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	authorizacion travel	Hello everybody, Well, a few days ago I received my employment authorizacion card and my authorizacion for travel (I 131) for me and my son. We bought the tickets . So we will travel in june. Only my son and I. My husband can't travel with us. I am thinking to take my license marriage with me also. Because I filed my status with my marriage name. So my authorizacion travel is with my new name, but my passport has my maide name. I think it won't any problem.My concern is............................I would like to know is safe to travel with this document. I want to make sure that I wont have any problems when I come back to Usa. I would like to hear some people who traveled with this documents. If they didn't have any problems to entry to USA.
