K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	info on Co sponser	Co sponser income must exceeds the 125% of poverty guideline to sponsor the immigrant , basically this applies to the guidline aswell if lets say the co sponsor also looks after 2 children only their income must be over $17,000 correct? Im from the UK , my fiance is a student and will start permenant work this summer holidays he's never worked before so hence hes never filed for any tax return , does that mean a co sponser must sponser me and lets say in any case there is no one willing to co sponser what are the other options? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT	Thanks for the reply DX, yes my fiance has never worked not even part time so has NEVER needed to file for a tax return... he will start working this summer for fulltime as far as I know permanent...so from what I read hopefully not wrong could he still be my initial supporter with no need of any cosponser..so basically does that mean he just need a letter from his employer stating his continous job at the place he will be working at and the expected income etc etc? btw when do I include all of this information ? just at the interview? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT	Well my fiance has never needed to file for tax return because he was a student and he wil be graduating this may and will be starting his Permanent Job... will this be a problem because he does not have 3 years worth of tax return? Because I was told that I needed a co-sponserer but the US EMBASSY SITE SAYS THIS Q- If a sponsor cannot present three years of tax returns because s/he was not obligated to file, can s/he qualify as a sponsor? A- Yes. A sponsor is only required to submit returns for years in which he/she was obligated to file. The lack of tax returns if there was no obligation to file does not disqualify him/her as a sponsor. The deciding factor is current and sustainable income. See INCOME REQUIREMENT. And then this INCOME REQUIREMENT Q-Must each of the last three years' income equal 125% of the poverty line? A-No. The current year's income, supported by employment letters or other appropriate documentation to demonstrate continued employment/income, will govern. Yeah well Ive decided not to rush into things now but were still learning about eachother and love eachother even more everytime we do!!! I don't mean to sound patronising, but you and your sweetie are both quite young to be considering marriage at all, let alone a marriage at which a good many people will be displeased and a marriage that carries significant financial, emotional, and bureaucratic challenges. The folks here, including myself, will want you both to be happy and successful with the path you choose. That's why so many people are advising you to slow down, consider the consequences, and MEET this man before you decide to spend the rest of your life together. If you give yourselves a chance to spend some time together and warm both of your families to the idea that you want to be together, you may gain a better understanding of each other and the family support you WILL want to have at some point. You're both so young. And it's wonderful that you've found someone who makes you so happy. And if it's real, it will survive some patience, forethought, and care.
