Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 November 2011 Filers	I didn't pay for my 6 year-old son when we filed. And they didn't ask us to pay either. How old is your daughter,may we ask? The USCIS officer told me on the phone that if the child is under 14, then he/she doesn't need to pay the fee coz he/she doesn't need to do the biometrics. Hope that help. * Mikeinwyoming:I'm not really clear that your step-child has done the biometrics as the same date with your wife,or she didn't need to??? And did you have to pay an addictional fee for her??? Happy New Year to everyone! We paid $85 for the fingerprints of the my daughter. It clearly states on the I-751 Instructions:NOTE: Each conditional resident dependent, eligible to be included on the principal applicant's Form I-751 and listed under Part 5 of Form I-751, is required to submit an additional biometric services fee of $85, including dependents residing overseas pursuant to military or Government orders, regardless of age. So we just sent 2 checks, one for my I751 fees and biometrics fee and one for my daughter Biometrics fee. If they not gonna do the biometrics, they shouldn't had cashed both check! But they did! Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 November 2011 Filers	To Maddycruise & Mikeinwyoming: I went to USCIS office in Boston this morning at 10:20 & got everything done before my appointment time (11am!) I've asked them about my son, the Supervisor said that if he hasn't had the letter then he doesn't have to do anything. I got out of the office & I called USCIS ,just wanna make sure. They told me that since my son is under 14,he is 6 now. He doesn't need to do the biometrics. Unless there is the special letter from them then he might have to do it. Otherwise,I just do mine & don't worry about his. So, I hope you guys don't need to worry too much. I was so stressful. But now I feel much better after the biometrics done! :-). Good luck. I'm just wondering why they asks an additional biometrics fee for my daughter (I assume that you guys paid for your children biometrics too), if they not gonna do a biometrics for her? Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 November 2011 Filers	Odd thing happened. We got the Biometric letter for my wife, but none for my 13yo step-daughter. I called in because of that, thinking the letter might have gone missing. I was told that USCIS hadn't decided yet whether to take her biometrics yet. That stunned me as they will need a new photo for the replacement card. Oh well, so it goes. Hi, I am having the same problem. We haven't received the biometrics letter for my 6 year-old son yet since I already got mine, 12/20 in Boston at 11AM. But I didn't call USCIS, probably I might get the same answer. We decided to take him with me anyway. Please kindly let me know if you have some new info. And for sure I will post mine. Thanks in advance. Happy holidays to everyone! I filed a petition from me and my daughter and today I just got the biometrics letter for me. I know it's odd thing plus we sent a payment fee for them. The only thing I can think of is, being the principal applicant and my daughter is listed on my dependent, I think thats is automatically been carried to my biometrics appointment. I did their Express mail service and despite my concerns about the postal service it actually got there really fast. If I remember from AOS you're on the east coast right? Last week of October, the 29th we got involved in a car accident. 2 cars that collided in front of us ended hitting our truck. And thank God we didn't get hurt. So that's the reason. Philippines	medical	I don't know how it works back in the Philippines. But I think the better idea is to bring her immunization record. The list of the immunization she might need is this Tdap,MMR,Varicella (chicken pox). When I went to do my medical back here in the U.S. I don't have any immunization record. And the C.S. told me that I can get a shot for free in the Center or make a lab work to see what immunization I have (lab work would be costly). Good Luck! I suggest Affidavit of Bona Marriage from your relatives, membership card from CostCo, Sams that it doesn't need your SSN. Newlyweds doesn't have a lot of evidence. Coz banks and insurance need a SSN. And before I forget, Joint tenancy too. If you are renting your place just ask them if you can put the name of the spouse in the lease. More evidence that better. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I129F APPROVED	Yes you need to send the I-134 documents to you fiance. Make sure to keep a copy of what was sent for your own records. There may be other things to send (ex: I have to send evidence of domicile) but it varies by country so I can't advise you what to do specific for Chile. For the questions specific to Chile I would ask in the Chile forums what's best since things vary by country. Once the approved I-129F gets to the NVC they will assign it a case number and send it to the consulate. You will get a letter with the consulate case number. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Question regarding organising of evidence for i129f	I agree never send the originals if they lose them then you've lost proof. You want to have those so you can bring them with to an interview if needed. I made photocopies of all the evidence (ticket stubs from one trip on one page), separate photocopies of passport pages, and then created a photo album and added note cards for each picture (when, where, who it was in the pic with us, etc) and just mailed the whole photo album (all digital photos that I had an electronic copy of). Best advice is to make yourself an exact duplicate of what you submit to keep for your records. You'll need this if you get an RFE, and again for the interview. In my case I didn't copy the things that I had originals for but everything else I did. Putting an index page with all enclosures and their meaning is very useful as well. I didn't do that with my original submission (or make a copy, but had electronic versions of most) and then spent hours when I got a RFE reassembling my original submission and trying to figure out what I had exactly for it. He's been grilled about "are you sure you're not going there to get married?" but has always been let in. On the other hand he's also from Canada so crossings tend to be easier and there's no visitor visa required in the first place. I've not had any problems visiting him in Canada either. It also says that they're sending it to the NVC. Prepare for more wait time. My NOA2 approval was 3/14, 3/22 was letter from NVC that they had my petition and would send it to the consulate within a week, it wasn't until 4/20 that the consulate in Montreal confirmed they received it and had sent Packet 3 on 4/19. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Submitting Additional Evidence After NOA1 wo RFE	IMHO, submitting additional information after petition submission, not in response to a RFE, is akin to trying to find and matching up two needles in a very large haystack. YMMV Agreed. If they want something they will send an RFE (I got one). If they do that and want that type of evidence you have them ready to include, otherwise you have them ready for the interview. The odds of it actually ending up with your I-129F petition without an RFE are questionable at best. Save the time and the money and be patient. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Packet 3 questions: court records, police records, and name differences	The consulate in Montreal has just received our petition and mailed Packet 3 last Thurs so my fiance and I have started working on getting all the required stuff pulled together. As we've gone through this I have the following questions which I haven't been able to find any answers on so far: 1. Court records - Is this only for criminal offenses? Only if convicted? My fiance has only been to court for minor traffic violations and they were thrown out each time. 2. Name variations on legal documents - My fiance's passport has his last name, his birth certificate and driver's license have a De in front of his last name. I wasn't really paying attention and missed this when photocopying his passport. I filed the I-129F using the De but the letter I got from the consulate doesn't include it and matches his passport. Since I know they will look at both the birth certificate and and passport will this cause an issue? Right now we're filling out the Packet 3 stuff without the De but listing his name including the De as an alias. 3. Court and police records - Given that my fiance has 2 ever so slightly different names does he need to get these for both names? If just one which one? We've tried calling the consulate and been bounced around and told to "check the website" and/or call another number, which just repeats "check the website" but adds "or get a lawyer." I'm going to try email next but so far everyone I've reached through this process has just oozed apathy so I'm not very hopeful. In the meantime any additional insight is greatly appreciated! I see no benefit to applying at the consulate in the UK or to waiting as it's a very long process. Regardless of where you apply they should be using the same requirements to make the determination. My best advice to you though is to make sure you have lots of proof. Take photos together, across different dates, in different places, doing different things with the date stamp on the photos if possible (for some reason they like film-dated photos at USCIS as secondary evidence). If you guys could give me examples, I just dont want mess this up. Thanks!!! for all response. I received an RFE. As others have mentioned it is wrong that they don't necessarily want some kind of proof relating to the relationship. In my case it was "circumstances of meeting" and "last personal meeting" as all my carefully assembled email receipts of airfare didn't count (apparently emails aren't valid proof even though the only receipts we had for flights were all email). As others have pointed out it can be anything, what the RFE for you will be will depend on what you submitted and what they feel you are missing. You get lots of time to respond so don't panic. I got all worked up over mine and really didn't need to. Having said that make sure you submit as much proof as possible for whatever it is they ask for so they can approve you. Good luck! It's a long process and there will be plenty of time to look into everything while you wait to hear from USCIS. The best advice I can give is don't waste money on lawyers and spend a lot of time on the USCIS website (and others once you have approval). No point in starting to gather documents for the visa interview now as they may be too old by the time you get approval.
