My dad just called me at work to inform me that I received a letter from immigration. I was bummed coz I checked this morning and no updates, no "touches" either. So I assumed that it was a letter to tell me that I was missing something. I told him to open and it and give me the bad news. He said something like "the above petition has been approved". I was shocked and surprised. I told him to wait, so I jumped online and checked the status, still no updates. I asked if he was sure and to read me the receipt number, they matched! I told him to read further and it says things like "it will be forwarded to blah blah". So I'm very excited. Gonna go home and confirm but all I gotta say is wow! I never was religious before this but man I prayed every night before sleeping and every morning before work. It sure does wonders. Now to search this forum for the next steps.

Good luck and godspeed to you!

Thank you so much. We have my mom doing the initial paperwork. So far so good. My timeline is short at this point since nothing has happened other than the NOA-1 which they marked really for about 5 Sep. The check has been cashed and now waiting for the next move.

Really like your ability on the entrys for your timeline. Good work!

Hi - Just wanted to say hi as we are new to the forum. I read the posts and I can say it does help while waiting. We have already filed the I-130 petition though it was kind of reassigned to California. I know it is a waiting game at this point. I am hoping that I can get my wife to the US in the springtime. By this time I will be back in Texas - back from the war.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-864 Question

Hello,

Anyone can elaborate on whether NVC considers the income for the whole 3 years for the I-864 or the most recent years. My dilemma is for the last 2 yeears I have been making well over the poverty line, but in 2003 I only filed $7000, because I was in college and not working. As of now I have a permanent job which pays well above the requirements.

Any additional info... will be highly appreciated.

Last call to Immigration said that we needed only the last tax return. I asked about the 3 yr history and they said just use the last one.

Sorry, didn't say when the call was made - it was made in Sep 06!
