Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 Petition	Thanks for the reply, I'm hoping that it will be as simple as you stated. I will call them this morning and hopefully get some good information about how to proceed. I truly hope that someone else can learn from my mistake. Always double check everything you send to any government agency (USCIS,DHS). Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 Petition	Hello VJ members, Let me start with a little background information. My wife came here on a K-1 visa and she received a 2 yr conditional GC. The time has come to file a joint petition to remove those conditions. I kind of dragged my feet for two months after the three month window started. Now we have only one month left. I gathered all the documentation that was required for the petition. I made a copy of everything to keep for my records. I went to the post office and mailed the petition along with a check for the application fee. I mailed it express mail, so it will be at the USCIS California Service Center sometime on Monday. Here is the problem that I have. After I returned home from the post office, I put my copy of the petition in a heavy duty report folder. Well while adding the pages to the folder I noticed that there was only 2 pages of the I-751 in my copy. What the @#$% ! ! ! I looked at every page I had numerous times but it was not there. I did not double check the original petition before I sent it. Somehow, somewhere along the way I misplaced the second page with all of my information on it. Now with only a month left to file, I fear they will not process the petition and my wife will become out of status. H E L P !! What can I do now? Can I call USCIS Monday and explain the situation? Will they return my entire petition (with the filling fee)? I would certainly appreciate any and all comments pertaining to my situation. Thanks in advance for your help. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 July 2012 filers	Received 10 yr green card today. My Lao po and I are very grateful that this part of our lives is over. I have to admit that we would not have made it this far without the help of so many VJ members here. I learned a lot about the Visa process, the Adjustment of Status and the Removal of Conditions from the many seasoned members as well as the many new members here. I thank god that this site was here when I first started this process and pray that it will still exist for the many new members for years to come. Thank you Visa Journey and all it's members. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 July 2012 filers	what number did you call? I'm sorry it took me so long to reply. Long commute home. I called 1-800-375-5283. You have to select 1-2-1-1-1 then when prompted, enter your receipt number. You will get a live person then. I told the customer rep. how long we had been waiting for a response from USCIS (7 mo). I asked her that if my wife's 2 yr card is expired then she is out of status. She asked me if we received a letter extending the expiration date by one yr. I told her that we did not. She then told me that if my wife wanted to travel out of the country she could use the NOA 2 letter that we received in August of 2012. I hope this helps. Good luck to everyone. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 July 2012 filers	Seven months of checking USCIS website for updates and nothing. Then today I decided to call them and inquire about the status of our case. After about 20 minutes the cunstomer service rep I was more frustrated than before I called. Then a couple of hours later I get an email elert saying my case status has changed and to log into USCIS to check the status. Low and behold APPROVED !!! Card production has been ordered. My lao po will be thrilled that she will recieve her 10 yr card soon. Now on to Citizenship. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting. Just hang in there, the day will come when your posting your approval. There's two new members in town and their names are Cai xia and Randy R To answer your question garfield529, They basically wanted me to explain to them when I met my ex-wife, how long we were married, if we had children together, where do the children live now, what were the circumstances that led to our divorce and how long were we separated before the divorce was final. I really think that all they really wanted to know was if my fiance was the cause of my divorce. So I sent them a very detailed letter about all this and had it notarized. I was literally beside myself when my fiance received the blue slip. I have to thank everyone here for their words of encouragement and support. You guys have been such a great help. Although I did not know this site existed when we first filed, I'm very glad I found it when I did. I have learned so much from reading post after post. I even went back a couple of years to previous post and found something that answered my question. Thanks again VJ memebers. I have found my 2 nd Visa home (1st CFL ).
