K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Just Called USCIS October Filer	Hi all, Just wanted to share. This was my first experience calling USCIS, I'm October 24th NOA1 at VSC so my 5 months have past now. She asked me how long has it been, I said more then 5mo now, more then the time line on your website, so she said "ok I will file a service request for you", then she asked what is the date on the NOA1, I said 10/24, and she goes "oh well its within our processing time, we are currently processing 10/1, wait about 23 day." There is nothing worst then waiting for something and not knowing, I can't even begin to describe it. At this point I don't know if I'm just venting or what. Hello there! If it helps as encouragement, we have been waiting since October 19th NOA1. We have called the USCIS several times as well and ours is as well within the processing times for some reason. She refused to acknowledge that it says 5 months online. I'm on hold for a Tier 2 now. Has this happen to anyone else?!   Thats not true! I am October 23 NOA1 date, and they are processing my case. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I called NVC !! and got a bad news	My fiancee called the NVC this morning and hold up the call for 15 minutes, the NVC officer ( Lady ) was answer and ask for our WAC#******, We recently approved on 10 June.  and she said NVC still dint get our case yet and any cases approved during June should call after 4th July ! or take longer  than 15 - 20 business day ! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	USCIS gave a wrong date, what to do? VSC Oct. filer	Hello guys,   I am relatively new here and the time has come for me to vent. (My fiance is the american petitioner and I am the salvadoran beneficiary.) We applied for the K1 visa in Oct 19, 2012. We receive the NOA1 dated Oct 23, 2012.   Its been 6 months and 14 days today. A month and a half ago, we contacted the USCIS and someone told my fiance, that today May the 7th, we would be able to submit a past due request or a late request since we would be beyond the posted processing times.   We tried that earlier and the USCIS website won't let us. He has already contacted them, and the tier 1 agent did the same rehearsed speech. He is waiting now for a Tier 2.   Isn't there something that could be done if the USCIS provided information that is not true? They clearly stated a date for us to call and everyone is telling us that we are still within the processing times.   - Has anyone here been told that too?    - Has anyone submitted already a past due request, beyond processing times? (filer from October 2012), If yes, what did you do?   Any replies would be greatly appreciated    We are beyond frustrated and feel fooled by the system. We have a second date on the case	Hello Again guys, This is what I saw on our case on Wednesday:   On May 8, 2013, we mailed a notice requesting evidence/information for this case to you or your representative. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the material requested. This case will be held in suspense until we either receive the evidence/information or the opportunity to submit it expires. A new processing period will begin when we receive your response. You or your representative will be notified by that office of a decision or if any further information or action is needed from you. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.   This is what I saw on our case on Today:   On May 10, 2013, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.   We've mailed a lot of information as you might have seen on my other post. Does it mean we have 2 RFE's??? Has anybody experienced such a thing before?? As you say it could be anything.   Our information was organized and divided like in chapters or tabs, in a thick folder. Like if you wanted to see pics... go to the pics tab/section, if you wanted to see emails and chats... go to the emails and chats tab/section. As if we received organization lessons, with post its, titles and very meticulously.   I do realize it was a lot! haha but it was set up all pretty and understandable. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Request for more Evidence??? Help!!! K1	Usually when you send the I129F package, they don't need all those relationship evidence. Just a couple of pictures and a letter of intent from both of you should be enough. You will need the evidence when you go to the interview there you can send the 600 pages to your fiancee. What they require is signatures. They don't want photocopys of signatures but the real made by a blue or black in signatures. Maybe you didn't get your fiancee to sign her G-325 or you missed a signature.   Hopefully it is something that you can quickly correct and I hope everthing works out for you. It took me a year to get my fiancee through the whole process. Hang in there and if you have any questions, you found the right place to be at!!   Thank you! How long does it take for this letter to arrive? Do people answer you over the phone about this RFEs at the USCIS?   If you guys knew what we sent... We sent a file with approximately 600 pages including: - pictures - phone bills - skype, gmail conversations, emails - flight tickets... - wedding prep. documents... - the ring certificate?   What exactly could be missing? Is this something I need to be worried about? Is too much too bad? FYI they made a mistake at the beginning and put that I was from Salvador Bahamas instead of El Salvador. Our lawyer already sent that why would they need another one? What do you guys think this should look like? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Affidavit of Support I-134 Questions! HELP!	Some consulates want to see 125% of the poverty level, and some accept the 100%. I do not know how strict your consulate is on the financials. Check with others that have gone through there. After you get the K-1, get married and file for AOS in the US, you will definitely need the 125%.   The letter states his time working there and his salary. Add up his gross salary to get his annual income. So, his semi-monthly amount times 2 to get monthly and then times 12 months. That is what you would list for current income on the I-134. After we have been approved, now we are getting ready for the interview. And now we are concerned because of the Affidavit of Support.   Question 1: are these the updated poverty guidelines? http://www.uscis.gov...form/i-864p.pdf We reach the first limit for two people.   Question 2: Does my fiance have to have a yearly contract where he works at?   They do not give contracts for the position he has, they gave him a letter that specifies since when he has been working at his current work and the letter specifies a SEMI-MONTHLY payment. They refused to write the yearly amount. He has been working there for more than 3 years now...   Is that bad? Do we need a yearly contract to prove the US that he can support me? Will we need a sponsor?   - We have bank statements - Tax returns - other documents besides this crapy Employment letter.   Any comments and advice will be greatly appreciated.   Thank you in advance! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	we transferred jurisdiction	I applied for the K-1 Visa and it was sent to Vermont Center on Jan 22 of 2013, However, 2 weeks ago they told us it was transferred to Texas for jurisdiction or something. We are almost at 180 days from the beginning of the process, does the whole 180 days start again after this transfer or can we expect a prompt reply in the next month?
