Keep the faith Ray..I know its frustrating, get through one Process and now have to wait for another  But it will happen.I cant belive your case still at CSC?:blush:Anyway keep calling and bugging them.It WILL happen! Good Luck!

Yeah, I called USCIS again today and spoke to another tier 2 rep. He said I could initiate a trace on the file to make sure it was actually sent to the NVC. So, I did. That's going to take about 2 weeks.

@Ray- Wow, I hope they get that sorted out soon!! Must be ruining the glory of getting NOA2....

You ain't kidding, Nicolette. The guides say two weeks (a bit of a misrepresentation in this case), USCIS says anywhere from 30 to 90 days, and NVC says 15 business days. If it hasn't shown up by the end of this week, I'm going to wait until after Monday before getting my Senators involved. In the mean time, I'm going to have to scan my NOA2 hardcopy and email it to nvcresearch@state.gov (if anyone else has to do this, make sure you put your USCIS receipt # in the subject line).

Grrrrr! This is so frustrating. I've been calling the NVC to see if they have our file yet. Nothing. Called USCIS to see if they sent it. It's still sitting at the CSC. The tier 2 rep I spoke with said that NVC has to request the file be sent to them. Called back to NVC. The operator said she never heard of that. She tried getting a supervisor but none were available (figures). :bonk:

Seems like a good idea , maybe I'll start a June page. My NOA1 was June 9th. I was wondering how long before anyone was able to track thier case number at the USCIS website? I have been told it can be several weeks before trackable and that some never are. Thanks and good luck to us all.

I signed up for email/text tracking. My case was searchable on the USCIS website the same evening I got my NOA1.

Jim, now that you know how to check your case status, i tell you youre gonna be addicted to it!

That, and also Igor's list (see my sig for the link). I think Igor's is a bit more addicting.

@Ray- How long has it been? Is that typical for the NVC part???

It's been 2 calendar weeks. The guides say 2 weeks, but the NVC operates in business days. So, 15 business days from June 24 (with the first business day counted being the Monday after the NOA2) would be July 18 (accounting for the holiday weekend).

Ray_j we MISS YOU! your case got to NVC yet?

Thanks, Tom. It's good to know I've been missed. :D Several calls to the NVC have been made so far with no positive results. I'm not worried... yet. July 18 is the last day of their given 15 business day limit. After then, all gloves come off. I've still been lurking around here while keeping busy with work (driving as many miles above 2,000 per week as I can possibly get) and going to school. I'm starting to funnel funds towards bills to be paid in advance (1 month's rent for while I'm in the P.I. is paid with another month to be paid in advance (my choice)). I'm going to start working on a spreadsheet this weekend to make sure I can get everything covered that I need to for the trip. I've already done that for the wedding. :star:

if you dont mind me asking..why is she having another NBi done? expire soon? Graces expire in November of this year.I am thinking if I should have her get a renewed one or keep that one?????

It's already expired. It's an old one. I'm not sure what the policy is regarding NBI's, but I would think it better to have a fresh one.

Ok yea..I been to NAIA 5 times so far coming and going to the PI ! It Amazes me how they divide the terminals....1, 2, 3.plus they in different places but not far apart.Late last year I got the chance to go through through the new terminal, flying Air Philiippines to and from Boracay.you going through Inchean...in Seoul? I been through there 2 times coming for layover coming to the PI. you Must be flying Korean Air? good Airline.... Flight Attendants are nice and friendly. people at the Airport was nice also.the only thing I didnt care much for was going through their Security again and hadnt left Airport or went through any exits or out of immediate area. But its ok...its for our Safety/.Security!

You are going to have a busy time in manila! lots to get done in a small amount of time. But if its anyone that can do it, you can! the only potential problem I see in all this is that she get the same flight back as you guys??? but anything is possible! If you can poosibly get her a seat on the same flight as you, thats ok.You can always get someone to change seats with you, Especially when they see you guys have a Lil one with you!:innocent: I have seen it done before and people didnt have a lil one with them just want to keep family together!Anyway keep in touch, let us know, we praying for you and ALL of US! "HAPPY 4TH OF JULY RAY" ..............AND TO ALL US MAY 2011 FILERS!!!:thumbs:

Tom,

Yeah. Lot's to get done. Compound that with school work to be done while I'm there. Thank God for online degree programs. I try to be on the ball when it comes to getting things done. It's just that I have so many irons in the fire at the same time that I start to feel like I'm in the center ring of a traveling circus. :help:  I do take comfort in knowing that her NBI will only take 5 minutes to process.

Yes, we're flying Korean Air. Their service totally rocks! The flight attendants are easy on the eyes, too. :jest: B-) Anyway, (just in case Amy finds this thread) I'm very happy with my mahal. :D The whole family and church congregation is excited to meet her when she gets here.

Speaking of family, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO ALL MY VJ FAMILY!

Yea you pushing it close. I hope all goes well.Amys due date is October 14th and you and your mom leaving on the 9th?:wow: that is cutting it close.when will she have her medical? you said soon as possible?.......hummmm.....where is Sucat? Anyway take care of things. You getting Straight Flight or connecting one?

Sucat is near NAIA (airport in Manila). She won't be able to get her medical done until the embassy has the case in their system. I've heard that they can be a little slow entering things. My mom and I only have one connection - Inchon, S. Korea. On top of cutting it close, we have to file for a CRBA for the baby after the birth. It's going to be a busy time while we're there. We have to wait for the birth certificate before filing the CRBA with the embassy, wait for her visa to be delivered, then get her emigration counseling session done. After we hear the magic word "approved" out of the CO's mouth, we'll book her flight and pray that there's room on the same flight as us.

Hey Ray! Good to see you still here with US! Yea it will take NVC a few days to receive your case from USCIS and of course like you said..."Holiday weekend".But it will get there soon I know.Let us know when they receive your case! I know you already got documents in order. You going there when? September?

Well, we're going to be pushing things a little to the wire. Mom and I leave on October 9. Amy's due date is October 14. Our approval is good until October 23. I'm probably going to try and schedule the interview for a few days before then but after the birth. My thought is that she should have her medical done as soon as possible. Thankfully, I have a few thousand pesos stashed away in a bank account in Sucat. :D

Hey Tom!

Just curious about something and I'm sure you can help me. How exactly do i get to join Igor's List? I know most of you here are talking about being no. 199 then down to 170something. How can i join that list too? I'm also curious about my "number/standing". Please help.
anybody who knows how to, please educate me. hehehe. And when you do, tell me in a way that a 7-year-old kid can understand. Posted Image I'm a nurse, not a computer wiz. Thanks so much!!!

Since you're a nurse, I'll put this in terms even a stubborn doctor could understand.
There's no joining Igor's list. All you need to know is which service center your petition has been forwarded to from the Texas Lockbox. In your case, it's Vermont (or VSC). If you look on my signature, you'll find a link to Igor's list. Since my case was at CSC, you'll have to look at the top and click the link for VSC. From there, you scroll down to the section for K-1's still waiting on NOA2 and find your fiance's and your names.

Hehehe! Yeah, it's been a few days. It seems I don't know what to do with myself now that I don't have to keep checking Igor's a couple of times each day. Actually, Amy needs to renew her passport. She went to the DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs) to get it done and was told that she needed to make an appointment online. She came back home and has to go back on the 18th. Since Manila allows for fiancee's to be present during the interview and I'm going to be there for the birth of our baby in October anyway, I'm just going to bring everything with me instead of sending it ahead of time. NVC still hasn't received our case, but that's okay. I wouldn't expect them to have it this soon anyway.

I see CSC is now processing K-1s with a NOA1 date of April 2nd. VSC is february 16th like Sabrina said.I saw where one Filer with NOA 1 date of April 14th got approved from CSC. I wonder why the discrepancy between the 2 Centers???

One explanation I've read was that VSC has been moving into a new facility. I'm sure anyone can understand how this would cause MAJOR delays in processing times. If they're starting to pickup the pace, then perhaps the move is almost complete.

Half way across the world for 9 months is a struggle.

Try adding the expectation of a little bundle of joy to the mix. That's the situation my fiancee and I are in. She's 5 months along now and due around October 14. My mother and I are flying over for the birth and (hopefully) her interview. I'm crossing my fingers, eyes, legs, toes (and whatever else that can be crossed) that we'll get to accompany her and the baby back with us when we come home on 11-11-11.

^ X_X not good news for me...I'm just above 125% of the line!!

I don't think it matters how far above the 125% mark you are, just so long as you're above it. It's just like getting a passing grade on a test for your job. All that really matters is that you passed.

I think its a GREAT IDEA to have your tax transcripts for the last 3 Years, although I dont know know what the Bangkok Embassy requirements are? From all the Embassy reviews I have looked at for USEM, Everybody says that the most recent year ITR is what they ask for. thats what i read for them. But over all it couldnt hurt, you never know with some COs!

That's because, as you eluded to, every embassy's requirements are different. Manila only requires the most recent tax return or transcript. I've read reviews/posts from other embassies where the CO required a transcript instead of the 1040.

I filed online. Can't I just print off last years 1040?

Yes, you should have no problem with doing that.

Sorry for double-posting, but does anyone know what tax forms we need for the I-134? And where to obtain them?

You can call the IRS at (800) 829-1040 and request tax transcripts for the past 3 years. I think you can also order them online.

yep numbers are going down :( I am also scared to get RFE...i filled out the petition for my fiance because i have better handwriting but he signed it? can that cause a problem?

also i am still wondering about affidavit of support :)) I just read on the instructions that my fiance for my interview does not have to give me anything about taxes, just statement of the bank and the employer....i am wondering now would it help to show at my interview a statement from my bank, showing that i can support myself in the states at least for a year?

i am about to go crazy, the wait and all these questions :-)

Anything like that would certainly help your case in the embassy interview. Even though you say tax forms are not required for your case, I would have them anyway. It's better to have something and not need it than to need it and not have it.

guys,i've been worried about something. I was reading that what they really require is a proof of having met in the past 2 years. proof of ongoing relationship is optional. I sent a lot of proof of ongoing relationship (postcards, emails, phone history, e-tickest etc). However, I didn't have a lot to prove we actually met. I didn't have any boarding passes and I totally forgot to send a copy of stamps in our passports (the times i went there and went he came here). All I sent were lots of pictures of us together (including me and his family, he and my family) and a train e-ticket that had both our names in the reservation (meaning our names were in the same reservation). Do you think I'll have RFE? Cuz unfortunately there's no way to prove the dates the pictures were taken are the dates i'm saying they were (I'm sending pictures all the way from 2008 to 2011)...
Anyway, I'm just worried cuz I've been reading that lots of ppl send copies of stamps in the passport and borading passes...

You'll be fine. Pictures of the two of you together (at least 5) satisfy proof of an ongoing relationship and having met in the past 2 years. On the back of the pictures, a brief summary of where the pictures were taken, who the subjects in the pictures are, and where they were taken will help protect you against an RFE.

I have a question about the tax copies.

I thought they wanted last 3 years? And some people I see have ordered a copy of their taxes from IRS. Why would that be? I have completed my taxes online the last few years. So I have digital printable copies. Does that work you think?

Last thing...I'm sure they'll update these forms soon. But Form DS 156 expired last month. And the DOS had this outdated one as the only form available on their website. Someone is not on the ball. lol

~Sabrina

It really depends upon what the beneficiary's embassy requires. Most do require the past 3 years of tax forms. However, Manila (for example) only requires the most recently filed tax return. It sounds like you would be okay with your printable copies. Be sure to sign them with a ball-point pen (black ink). What other people have ordered is their tax transcripts. These are different from tax forms since they are generated directly from government information systems after everything has been entered and verified. I've seen reports of some consulate officers asking beneficiaries for tax transcripts when they've brought tax forms (1040, 1040-A, 1040-EZ, etc.) to their interview.

As for the expired DS forms, check with your embassy's requirements. Some of the DS forms will be accepted even if they're outdated.

It looks like they vsc has sped up some, which means good things for us. When I look through the stats on Igor's list and timeline estimates it looks promising. In one place it says they are around January 15 petitions, in another the days are down to 141 for full process, and in another the last bunch of people I see getting noa2 are End of January or better yet February for the most part. On average the data looks like approval when up from 5 to 4 months. And is still going faster everyday. I check Igor's List too much lol. Seriously, from the day I got noa1 til now that date it says went from December 12 to January 15 which is processing like 2 months in the last one. Also, I looked at the stats from this time last year and it sped up also around the same time and kept going through summer. May Filers last year was approved on average in 3 months no later than August for most I saw. And remind a few months before that it was also at the limit til 5 just like we are noticing with people that filed back in our say December 2010.

So I hope all that is hopeful to hear.

I read on another post that VSC has been moving into a new building. Any increase in processing times you might be seeing could be due to progress being made in moving their operations to their new home.

Ray-J, yeah, I read where VSC has jurisdiction for those of us residing in FL and that they have been running quite slow of late. Well, best for me to have the patience of Job and keep my nose to the grindstone so that agitation doesn't set in down the road, lol. At the moment, I figure three things could happen: My petition could still be routed to CSC in an effort by USCIS to balance the workload; VSC could shift more assets to processing K-1's to catch-up/speed-up on their workload; and, the good Lord may just have a plan that includes us waiting for the "right time" for the Visa issuance to happen in our lives. Yeah, I know....it's only been less than 24 hours since I mailed the I-129F so it's easy for me to have a positive outlook, lol. Figured I better take that attitude for this journey.... :)

Best wishes for you and yours!!

That's the spirit, Jeff. hehehe. I hear that one of the possible reasons for VSC taking their sweet time is that they're in the process of moving into new and larger facilities. As I'm sure anyone can imagine, moving an entire government office is no small nor easy task. After all, the only part of the government that is actually good at moving anything is the military.

Finally finished & put the I-129F in the mail!!! May has been a big month for me this year....saw my sweetie, she said "yes", had a birthday and completed the I-129F!!! Hope you guys accept me into the May group? I'd feel strange being associated with any other month, lol

Here's hoping for no RFE's and an NOA2 in the not too distant future for all of us!!!
