From what I read the person that told me that just wanted me to get mad and move to DR loL! I'm really hoping things for my go as well as they have been going for some of you! and of course that yours continue to go just as smoothly!!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionI HATE ALASKA RIGHT NOW!
I make over poverty in most of the US why does Alaska have to be higher!!! Man I'm just really mad about that and if I don't get a co sponsor soon I think I might just LEAVE! (only i highly doubt that would happen) but MAN! IT'S SO UNFAIR!!!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNot enough pictures?? what to do?
OK so me and my fiance have been together for soon to be 4 years but since I was very young when we first met I wasn't able to see him often I had to wait till my parents decided that they wanted to go on vacation so I can tag along... so unfortuantly in the last 2 years I only saw him once and though we had spend every day during the month and a half I was there together and with a digital camara at hand (and had more then 100 pics to show for it) all those pictures got deleted like 3 days before I returned. sad.gif so I only have 3 pictures from that entire stay and it is all I have? Of course I have the flight info so they would have proof that I was there during the said time period. I am also going to be visiting him in December so we will DEFENITLY take pics then ( and make sure they aren't deleted). I don't think that he will be having an interview before then (though I would be super excited if he did) am I going to be ok with the small amount of pictures I have?

Also I have some from longer ago should I give a few of those too to show an on going relationship?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresScary Proposition ....
Hey Jonas,
Though I have never heard of this program I have heard or others very similar. My fiance wanted to try to go through the visa process on his own (not through any special program though) but I was to scared that if he was denied then It would be more difficult for us to do the whole K-1 thing. I personally asked him not to. And though I understand your position and how nice it would be to be with her NOW I think it would probably for you to just do the k-1 visa because you don't wouldn't want to go through the risk!

GOOD LUCK

Evelyn

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHoneymoon destination Hawaii - problems?
I know this is a really old post but I live in Alaska and I have NEVER stopped in Canada for ANY of my trips most of them stop in Seattle So you should really be fine I wouldn't want you to loose such a wonderful experience because of the misunderstanding.... Be careful with any cruises though because those would go to Canada and you would need to have proper documentation! but there are plenty of local day cruises which are amazing! I really hope you get to live the experience of visiting AK!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresfiance future recidence?
Hello everyone I have a few questions that I have bumped into during the I-325 like the filing number? should I have one??

and for the I-129f t ask for the address where my fiance will be staying when he comes. Right now I am living with my parents but as soon as we get closer to his arrival I am going to get an apt. but for now I think it is smarter to just save some money so I am living with my parents the problem is that my parents are about to sell the house so should I still put our current address since it is where I am living now? It's just that I fell if I put some random address that it would seem like there is no tie between us since my residence is going to be my parents house. I hope that makes sence since I feel a little confused myself about the question! if you have questions about my question let me know and if you have answers PLEASE let me know!

have a good one!!

EVELYN

Thailandbring a child later

From my own experiance I can tell her to bring the boy when she comes. My husband insisted we do this and it turned out to be a great idea. The child needs to get into a American school for many reasons including the social aspects. My daughter has done very well here; has become a well adjusted American teenager. She is happy in her school with many friends while being involved in all the school activities. As an example she arrived here with limited English skills but went on to win her school speech contest. These schools are amazing.
I also think its best for both of you to have the child with you. A friend left her kids and is still having a lot of problems in her life including her marrige. She just feels incomplete.

We brought my step daughter over about a year after my wife came to the US, she wanted to get settled in before her daughter came over. She was a K-3 visa and the embassy issued her daughter a K-4 follow to join about 11 months after her visa, we used a visa service in BKK so all I needed to do was a new affidavit of support for her but I think the process is pretty straightforward. I think the K-1 and K-2 process will be the same and you have a year from her visa to get the K-2. Once she got the visa she had 6 months to use it but is was good for 2 years while we did her AOS. It has worked out well, she was 8 when she got here and has adjusted great. Only drawback is that the AOS is more expensive if you do them seperate.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresApplication sent to embassy finally!
We are K-3, married March 18th of this year. Not sure why it says K-1, checked my profile and everything there says K-3 but I will try to correct. Just got back in time for Loy Kathrong, got her medical report and police check next week and hopefully an interview soon after we are done with that. Be here for a few weeks and hope next time I come is last time I have to go home without her. You have an interview date yet?

Finally got my NVC case numbers and they said our file was transferred to the embassy two days ago, hopefully when I go back next week we will get packet 3 in and hope for a quick interview date! Heard Bangkok was scheduling interviews fast right now, sometimes like 2 weeks from getting packet 3, so pretty sure I am going to stick with the K-3 even though it means more fees and paperwork once she is here. Maybe I won't have to travel 6000 miles to have Christmas with my wife after all. kicking.gif

Congrats on getting this far. We are at a similar stage.
I got word of the NOA2 by email notification from USCIS on October 14.
Since I was in Thailand, a few days after that I did the DHL tracking suggested in VJ
and discovered it had left the NVC on Oct. 16 and arrived at BKK on Oct. 20.
Still with no NVC case number (neither the NVC nor the BKK consulate responded
to attempts to contact them), packet3 was received (with BOTH of us witnessing
the arrival of the mailman bringing the good news) by her in BKK on October 31,
my last day in Thailand.

Waste no time for the police report & medical; they weren't as bad as either of us thought,
but she was glad I was there for both of them.

QUESTION - I think your profile indicates K-1 but your post above indicates K-3 - which is it?
Your inquiring VJ friends want to know.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionMedical check question - mental health
Our K-3 application is finally at the Embassy in Bangkok and I am a little worried about the medical check which right now is scheduled next week, my wife was pregnant with twins and lost them about a month ago and has had a really rough time dealing with it and it is at the point she was prescribed a lot of medicine to deal with the depression. I have been back to see her since and head back tomorrow so we can spend time together and get her medication figured out, going to stay as long as it takes to make sure she is doing better and all of our packet 3 info is ready. Should I stress out that she might not pass the medical? Not worried about any other part of the process, have been there 9 times for a total of 24 weeks this year already just this year and have plenty of income, pics, call logs, etc, and everything else. Anyone know if they have set criteria for mental health when they do the medical or if she is doing ok and in active treatment ant I have it set up for it to continue when she gets here are we probably ok? She is covered under my insurance which has very good coverage and have enough to pay directly for anything else that she will need to recover.

Just need something to worry myself sick about since I don't have USCIS to deal with anymore! Till her AOS at least, we will cross that bridge when we get there.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionInterview waiting time, Bangkok Embassy
I think the wait time is pretty short, we just put in for my daughters interview for her K-4 visa and they gave us March 28th so about 3 weeks from when we submitted. Last year for my wife it was only 2 weeks for her K-3 interview from when we submitted, seems like BKK has not been too bad for wait times.
