K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsVISA RECEIVED!!

Salvador received his visa today!  It only took 5 business days for him to receive it from DHL.  We will be together on November 1st!  I am still in a state of shock.  I just want to proceed to the next step in going through port of entry.  I'm such a nervous Nancy (jaja) that I won't believe it until he is on U.S. soil!!  Thank you all VJers for all your help and support.  All my best to everyone else waiting and going through the same thing.  You are not alone and this site has really helped me through the process. Thanks again!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRequest for Evidence

Hello,

I just received a RFE stating the following:  It must be established that the petitioner and beneficiary have met in person and/or have been in each other's presence at any time during the two years immediately preceding the filing of this petition (February 2, 2011 to February 2, 2013)

Circumstances of Meeting: Submit information regarding the circumstances under which the petitioner and beneficiary met to establish the relationship.

Last Personal Meeting: Submit Evidence of meeting beneficiary in person within the two-year period preceding the filing of the petition. Primary evidence may include airline ticket stubs and receipts (that include month, day and year), copies of passport pages that show the identification page and admission stamps, militry orders, letter from Commanding Officer, or any evidence that will help the USCIS to determine that the petitioner has met the beneficiary within the two years.  Secondary evidence may include film-dated photographs of the petitioner and beneficiary together. The following does not constitute evidence of meeting: disc, videos, emails, letters, phone bills, and greeting cards.

In our petition I submitted over 100 photos of our visits that began from November, 2009 through October, 2012. They specifically want evidence from February 2, 2011 to February, 2013.  I only have car rental receipt and a hotel receipt paid on my sister's Visa as she accompanied me on my last visit.  I misplaced all other receipts from our stay.  I also have a dated, notarized parental consent from my ex-husband giving me permission to travel with our child during our last trip. The photos I have are not date stamped as they are digital and saved on my computer.

I am planning on submitting the car rental receipt, the hotel  receipt paid from on my sister's card, the parental consent and the re-prints of the photographs from our last trip in October, 2012.  Do you think this will be sufficient? Can anyone please give me your input and thoughts on how I should proceed? Thank you. I really appreciate everyone's help.

Sounds like you'll need a co-sponsor. The minimum you would need to make on a per year basis for your situation would be $19,387 based on the fact that you would have a household of two people (you and your significant other) and you live in the continental US.

If you have assets that equal at least 3x the difference between your annual salary that could help.

You're not being very clear as to how much you make per year, but based on the idea that you started at the beginning of November and worked to the end of December at 40 hours per week, you worked approximately 360 hours and only made $1280. That makes your hourly rate around $3.56/hour which is illegal. I'm not sure if you're being straight forward or not, but it doesn't seem likely.

However, only you know much you make per year.

If you have assets they can help. But you would have to get appraisals (which cost money) of them to prove their value.

I think your best bet would be to try to get a co-sponsor.

Im sorry im new at all of this i guess i added wrong i do not make $3.56 an hour lol i make 7.75.Thank you for pointing that out for me though

How many hours you work has no bearing on whether or not you meet income eligibility requirements.

These are the questions we would need answered to help you:

1) What state do you live in?
2) What do you make in a year?
3) Are you married and do you have any children?

If you answer these we can help you.

Use this form: http://www.uscis.gov...form/i-864p.pdf

i live in Kentucky and my children are grown and no not married and my income i drew unemployment for a year $3870.00 and i started my job last Nov. $1280.00
so i don't know how this is gonna go :(
