Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionFiled I-751, Waiting on DOA1. They've cashed the check, we're traveling abroad.

Thanks.   Going to be calling them first thing on Monday.

We actually got the I-797C form today for biometrics.  But it doesn't say anything about it granting another year on there (at the top it says that 'this cannot be used to grant any kind of status').   I've seen on some other threads that you can travel out of the country if you bring this form.

Anyway, the appointment for biometrics is scheduled for 2 days before we leave.   Were we supposed to get another notification before or with that?

(I think I originally posted this in the wrong forum).

My wife and I filed our I-751, and have been waiting for the NOA1 so we can travel out of the country.   We have (non-refundable) tickets to fly out of the country in 2 weeks, but have not yet received the NOA1.

I know we are cutting it short, we sent the forms on Jan 27th.  But they've received them, and have cashed the check on February 5th.

Her green card will expire while we are away, so we really need to be sure there won't be any problems.

I just realized today that we checked the box that there was a previous address, but forgot to attach that previous address.  Everything else in the packet is good, but I was just going over everything again and realized that.   I'm not sure how serious that is, or if the fact that they cashed the check means we should be okay.

But if it gets closer and we still have not received the NOA1, what options do we have to fly out and return without any issues.   I read somewhere that we might be able to schedule an appointment at a local office, and get some kind of approval that way (we'll only be gone for a week).

It's pretty important that we make the trip, so cancelling really isn't an option... but I just wanted to see what our options are here, and what you fine people would recommend.

(we've tried calling, but the first 2 times they never called us back.  The 3rd time today, I was on hold for 3 hours after my wife gave verification that they can talked to me (tier 1), but when the tier 2 person picked up, they wouldn't talk to me without my wife verifying it again).

You were supposed to get a Notice of Action before you got your biometrics letter.

You can add yourself to the list, if you wish.

I didn't.  Is it possible that it got lost in the mail?  If so, what can I do.   We need to leave the country in 2 weeks, so we don't want to risk anything.

The check for my I-751 was cashed on Feb. 5th, we just today received a I-797C (for biometrics).  Can we travel out of the country with just this?  We have flights book for 2 weeks, and the appointment is 2 days before we leave.  The form doesn't say anything about extending status, it's just for the appointment.   Were we supposed to get anything else before this?    Should we be okay to travel ?
