Man keep your son and send that flat foot biotch back to the craphole village in TacoLand where she's from

This kind of language really bothers me. It's insulting to so many people on so many levels.

Not to sound like amateur psychiatry hour but you might want to read up on the possibility of her having bipolar disorder. It sounds like she has some of the symptoms (spending issues, taking off with strangers, depression, etc.).

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNVC Voice system question
It took two weeks for the NVC to generate our DS3032 and AoS bill after assigning a case number (see my signature, below). I've been following some other current cases such as phirephly's, who had forms generated 1 week after being assigned a case number. Keep calling the automated line every Tuesday to see if anything's been generated.

Take a look in the NVC forum, below. AussieW recently posted a link to the NVC automated system responses.

It's currently taking a couple of weeks after you're assigned a number for them to generate the first two items.

You send originals (or certified copies where appropriate, such as a final decree of divorce, where you don't have access to the original but you can get a photocopy certified by the authorities with a "raised stamp" thing. (I hope that makes sense!) They'll return the originals to the beneficiary later. --We haven't written our case number on the originals... Do you need to? We just attached sticky notes.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresFinal Rule Regarding Affidavits Of Support
I talked to a woman on the NVC info line last night and she said the new form isn't ready yet. In the meantime they're sending out supplemental instructions saying you only need to send in one's year's tax return. She didn't mention anything about 6 months of pay stubs. Seems like a lot of extra paperwork if you get paid once a week. (6x4)

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresStupid question regarding sending forms to NVC
As mentioned in another thread, I accidentally sent the DS-3032 by email immediately after our case number was assigned and they ignored it. They accepted another email the day after the DS-3032 was generated.

Then there are things like the AOS fee bill that gets returned to St Louis but is then forwarded to New Hampshire where they enter it into *their* system, and the I-864 gets generated. I wouldn't want my petition, documents, and $$ floating around without anyone knowing what to do with them. Seems like there are enough slip-ups when everything's done in order.

Me too (well, not QUITE yet ;) ), though my husband's already prepared the old one and it's still being accepted. I asked him to read over the EZ form and decide which one he wants to send.

abderrahim n tina: Sorry, I don't know what K-1s need to do. You should read the guides at the top of the page then post a question in the K-1 forum if you can't find an answer. :) (I don't think CR-1s need to fill in the I-134. )

To start, you'll know the DS 3032 and AOS fee bill have been generated by hearing it on the automated system, which is updated on Tuesdays. (Read up on it in the Timesavers thread pinned to the top of the NVC forum.)

It might be different for us Canadians, 'cause we have to send in our birth certificate, marriage certificate, DS-230 parts I & II, etc. to the NVC, whereas someone from Germany just sends in the completed DS-230 part I and a photocopy of the biographic page from their passport?

Ken,
The RFE is most likely due to the new IMBRA laws - not to do with an affidavit of support.
Be sure to check out the special IMBRA forum here on VJ
http://www.visajourn...p?showforum=126

His NOA1 is 2006-03-02, which is prior to IMBRA taking effect, no?

Can you get a letter from your employer (the family)? Copies of the cancelled cheques?

You should check out the new I-864 forms. The requirements for assets have changed. The links were posted in this forum this morning and also in the Timesavers thread, which is pinned at the top of the NVC forum.

Good luck!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresInfo that I learned from my imm. lawyer

When did it ever change from last 3 years tax returns to just the 1 last year?

This was posted in May.

Include a photocopy or Internal Revenue Service (IRS) transcript* even if you filed electronically, with all supporting schedules and/or W-2s for the most recent federal income tax return.

You can find out if the AOS fee has been accepted by calling the NVC line and talking to an operator. After it's accepted you'll be sent the I-864. Take a look at the NVC process flowchart pinned in Captn Ewok's "NVC general info" thread at the top of the NVC forum. :)

fortune: Go here and create an account. Then you can check your case online and register for email updates. You'll know you've been "touched" when the date changes in the "Last Updated" column.
