Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Filed I-601 at London Embassy - now what?
Hi all,

Well i had a pretty disastrous interview yesterday - i was found ineligable for my Immigrant Visa as they found elevated levels of Gamma GT in my blood - and for this they have incorrectly presumed that i have an alcohol addiction, and refused the visa under section 212(a)(/)(A)(3). I think i just made the mistake of having a few beers the night before - silly me.

So, at the interview they asked me to fill out the I-601 waiver, as i am married to a US citizen, which i gave back to the guy there and then.

I'm just a little unsure now as to what will happen - when he was explaining it yesterday my head was all over the place. The guy at the embassy gave me his telephone & extension number, but he said they will call me back within 6 weeks?

Can anyone shed some light on how long this process may take - my wife is now back in the States expecting our 1st child in January, I think we've resigned to the fact that i'm not going to be back for the birth.

Can anyone help??

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)DUI conviction should I be worried?

How much do you say you drink now, in units/wk? I would hazard a guess that it's worth cutting out all booze completely until the interview, so you can honestly say that you've stopped drinking.

They may want to do a urine analysis to verify this over a period of time, but again, that is based on somewhat foggy recollection of another VJer's experience.

Just to clarify this issue for everyone - Panel Physicians do not carry out urine tests. If they suspect alcohol abuse they will request an additional blood toxicology test.

Hi All,

My case was the London one that went straight from Pending to Completed!!!

I'm hoping that's a good sign???????

Traci & Andrew - my warmest congratulations to you both, it's so nice to hear a positive outcome in this process.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Andrew I really don't know - if you look at my post from Wednesday, I asked where the list had gone (i posted on IM2US too), as when i clicked my usual bookmarked link it just took me to the US Embassy website, telling me that the webpage i was after was no longer available - just a 404 error.

JustJ was kind enough to tell me where it was - perhaps she knows ? I don't know where she found it - can you help JustJ?

This happened at some point on Wednesday, overnight I think. That night i'd slept really badly so ended up trying to check it at about 4am UK time.

I hope you can link this in to your extremly useful spreadsheet, i'm lost without it!

Let me know how you get on,

Anthony.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)The 2010 London Waiver List

Hi

Ok it has been a week now since the USCIS updated us last time, so lets all hope they send out an update today to at least make them weekly and not the fortnightly or three weekly that they did just recently.

So lets all hope that they update us today, with some positive moves would also be nice.

Take care

Andrew

Andrew - check http://photos.state...._status-web.pdf

They updated the list on Wednesday, and added some information regarding what cases they are deailing with, based on the date they received them (currently Feb 23rd).

JustJ said that they've incorperated I-212's on the list now as well.
