K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	fiance visa timeline- advice please	hello. i'm a canadian citizen, my girlfriend is an american citizen. we would like to file for a fiance visa- it seems very complicated. after school ends for her (next year) we want to live together and get married (in the USA). since anything happening is a year or so away- what is recommended to be done first? is there anything we can get done way ahead of time so that we can worry less? thank you!	niddler	Not Telling	Canada	2006-05-07 16:42:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	crossing border while awaiting the K-1	if my girlfriend sent away for a k-1 visa, can i visit her while we are waiting for it? if so, do i need to inform customs of that when crossing the border to visit her for a couple of weeks? will i get into trouble? if i must mention it, would they hold me back from crossing? what info do i have to show and provide to avoid any trouble? thank you!	niddler	Not Telling	Canada	2006-05-11 21:24:00
