IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Why u guyz do IR-1/CR-1 instead of DCF in ur home country??	Im actually really happy to hear they werent allowing DCF during March-July. I had so many people complain to me that im doing it the long way and i should have just stayed for 3 months in India. Then i started to feel bad and had regret. Now knowing that it was impossible for me to do it in March makes me feel MUCH better. Guess the advice I received in india wasnt exactly wrong. Some told me Delhi stopped allowing DCF and others told me they still doing it. Guess they were both right, just wrong timing. Edited by TheJesal, 18 September 2010 - 02:05 PM. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Why u guyz do IR-1/CR-1 instead of DCF in ur home country??	Hi folks, in India now the residency requirement for USC to file a petition is only 3 Months now. After filling petition USC can go back to USA and start his/her work.So there is no need to prove them that USC has the reason to move back to USA. After moving back to USA, USC can start the work of Affifavit of support.And there is no additional documnts ,proofs require in DCF. Its the same process like u do in general CR-1 process by USCIS. The main thing in DCF is ,there is no word like NVC .Whole process handled by local consulate. Oh and if u doing in gujarat,india then to get PCC from ahmedabad there is no HEADCHE in DCF,because u have already interview letter in hand. So i dont think so there is any complexity in DCF.Its nice smooth and quick process. Where were you when i started this process! I totally would have done the DCF route if i had known. Problem is there isnt enough information out there for us indians on this topic. Everyone kept giving me different advice at the time so i was too scared to stay in India for 3 months just to get denied at the end. Speaking of which, i recall that happening to someone here. It didnt get updated until today which is the same time i received their text and email confirmation of approval. From the looks of it NVC is slow too, im hoping to be done with it by early september with a mid to late October interview date. But that might be wishful thinking. NOOOOOO That makes no sense as others who are well past that date have been getting approvals. Come on, chill out everybody. Seriously. It took 126 days for my I-130 to get approved with an NOA1 date of Feb 24th. That's over 4 months. Based on this I don't see why anyone with a later NOA1 date would expect to get their approval in less than 4 months. Lucky!! Im at 126 days with no approval still. Just saying. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	March 2010 CR1 filers	So to everyone who is still waiting for their NOA2's....I hope you have read this: http://www.visajourn...t-on-july-13th/ I was hasty in my reading when I noticed that the $400 went down to $355 . I failed to see that the other fee associated with the IV bill (before it was $355 visa fee plus $45 security fee =ing $400) has gone from $45 to $74. That means instead of paying $400, the new few is $404. As for the AOS fee, it goes from $70 to $88. How lame! Hope this means they hired more staff to get more approvals on the way!
