Actually Lis- you figure it out pretty quick when your bladder just won't hold anymore! I tried and tried to do what you said, but we would be gone for HOURS soemtimes all day-- moist towellettes worked GREAT too! It gives you that "fresh feeling" after you just squatted near the floor!--might be a good suggestion for July there Jax--and HAND SANITIZER!! lol--Depending on where you are I guess Hotels can be chaper, but usually it is the appartments that we occupied! A nice place all to ourselves, we could do laundry together, and watch tv, and well.. .you know! LOL OOOOKKKK! I hope your trip goes well, and you'll be with Ibrahim very soon!-Amy

Amanda- just saw your note on the whole travel agent on the side thing... what you got for March 7??? That is when he deicded he's gonna book for- so we're looking at ticket prices... I know they change rapidly after the first of March,.. summer's on its way! In any case, sent that off today- waiting for Amin to send me his biographical info-- Talked to another friend filing a k-1, they are done with the process and waiting for their visa now! Very Interesting allof this!!! I went to Jordan to marry my muslim husband, I am a christian, and was subject to an extra security check upon returning to the US myself. I think everyone gets treated pretty equally, I suppose to a point tho my Hubby will face the slap in the face too-- we just have to keep hoping for the best, and go with the will of God all of us! I attended and they took one look at my passport, asked me 4 questions and NONE to hubby and said "thank you maam for coming to the interview, that makes it easier on us and easier for you, congratulations"

so now, we are just waiting for the VISA to come

The answer is YES, you can accompany him to the embassy, HOWEVER the consular doing the interview has the authority to say-"You have done your work-its his turn now, please wait outside in the lobby." And I wouldn't be too surprised if they did. It shows you are right there supporting your SO. So good luck and God speed!-Amy

Don't be so sure about the YES.

This varies from consulate to consulate. Jordan most likely yes...but with some asertiveness. Others, it varies widely.

Regarding your previous question about fees at the consulate...in AMM, the Aramex delivery fee was 8JD in October and it would roughly be the same now, if any change. We're talking the CR1/IR1 correct? Good luck to you and yours.

I have another question for you too... can you tell me about his interview experience? I have heard many different types of stories, from 8:00am he went in to the interview, handed the man his papers,The man looked at the papers put the photos all on the desk asked who this was and where they were. Asked a few questions about her family and shook his hand "mabruuk" u get your visa in 2-3 weeks.
Then I heard the total opposite... shows up at 8:00am, turns in his papers, sits till noon and THEN goes in for his interview?? Where he is given the third degree about every detail of his wife's life.
