Mexico, Latin & South AmericaLima - Peru Interview Date Feb. 21
Please tell us how everything went. My fiance and I have not yet been approved but I expect to be approved in late March and hope to interview in mid May. I am going to Peru February 25 to visit her. Any information you could give us would be greatly appreciated.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionQuestion about how many 134 forms
I received 2 sets of packet 4 forms yesturday. Each set has 3 copies of form 179, form 156 & form 134. I am bringing my fiance and her two children to the U.S. Do I need to fill out all 6 134 forms, and what about the other forms? Does she already have these forms or are these new forms that all need to be filled out? Please respond quickly if you have tha answers to these questions because I am leaving for Peru tomorrow and the interview is Thursday.

Thank you

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionWhat do get to prepare for LIMA, PERU interview

Hidy Ho ALL,
I know there must be a post on this topic somewhere, and i did search, but didn't find anything. We have the interview date in Lima, but no packets and the interview is 3 weeks away  Besides the forms, what else will we need? I know she will have the medical exam and that she needs a list of all the crimes she has committed  What else of that nature will she need? She has the birth cert and has never been married before.

One more thing. She was saying that in Peru there are different types of police background checks. I think she gets three, but that there is one that has like 3 options. Sorry I'm not very clear on that. Any Peruvian folk going through this out there in Journey land?

Thanks!!!

I have just been through this procees. Yes there are 3 police backgound checks. The judicial takes the most time she needs to order this right away. If you have other questions, write me.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresProvisional files

I am interested in hearing from people who have started provisional files and if this truely does speed up the process

I'm not sure it is still allowed but the visa kit I purchased on the internet suggests doing this and I think I am going to try it.

The consulates no longer do provisional files... they were in place when communication and logistics were much slower than they are today...

Thanks for the information.
