US Citizenship General Discussion	N-400 February 2013 Filers	Hi, I hope you receive your oath letter soon. Have you checked to see if there is any updated info on your case online at the uscis website? I signed up for email updates, so I get emails everytime there is updated info on my case. As far as the naturalization certificate, you must turn it in along with your passport application. There's supposed to be a line for passport applications at the ceremony itself, but you also have the choice of applying for a passport at a post office. If you log on to the usps website you can punch in your zip code to find out the locations and phone numbers of post offices around your area who accept passport applications. In my case, I have two children under three, so I wont be waiting in line to apply and fill out my passport application at the ceremony. I will wait perhaps a week or so, make a couple of copies of my nat certificate, then go to my closest post office in ponce to apply for a passport. Hi. Yeah I am checking the USCIS Website also and on May 21 they said they put me in line for the Oath Ceremony and I should get a letter once the Ceremony is scheduled. I am going to wait for the Passport myself, first I will change my Driver's License. But I have one question if anybody knows around here, can I laminate the Certificate? US Citizenship General Discussion	N-400 February 2013 Filers	Mine was about 6 days after that I could see on the status that it was being processed. It let me put the email in then. not sure if you can before hand I don't remember lol haha sorry =)   Original certificate is required to be sent with the passport application.   You MUST make a color photocopy of the certificate for yourself to keep before sending it away as you will have no proof that you are a citizen once you mail off the certificate. US Citizenship General Discussion	N-400 February 2013 Filers	I handed it over may 2nd and just got it back today on the 20th. Didn't pay for expedited service just the regular.  Hoping the certificate comes this week, MAYBE next week. Iv heard they can be a bit slow to get that back to you. Hello...I have one question...in order to make my passport I will have to send them The Naturalization Certificate? The original?  I am still waiting for my Oath App but I know that at the end of the Ceremony you can apply there for the passport so in that case...they will give me the Certificate but I cannot even take it home, I'll have to leave it there ? It would be great if we both had the opportunity to have the oath ceremony on the same day, though I doubt it given the difference in application dates, but it would be nice. I had my fingerprints done this month in Guaynabo and I am in line for interview. Tell me, where was the interview done? was the office crowded? where the ios nice, professional? and did they say when or where are the oaths done? sorry for all the questions, I am very curious since we are in the same state. Congrats again. Hi. I guess you have never been to an interview before here in PR. It was in San Patricio Office Center in Guaynabo. No it was not crowded but I was the first one so don't know if it got crowded later. The people there are very nice don't worry. US Citizenship General Discussion	N-400 February 2013 Filers	Hello everybody!! I had my Interview yesterday and I passed!!!! It was very easy. In 25 min I was out. Yes is true, my CO was talking very very fast but that was no problem for me. She started with the reading and writing part, then the questions and then the Form and some other questions not from the Form like how I met my husband, about my family, where my husband works. Then she told me I passed and asked if I speak Spanish. I said I do and then we started talking in Spanish. And that's it. Now I am waiting for the Oath Ceremony. US Citizenship General Discussion	N-400 February 2013 Filers	This is when your case status on uscis.gov changes to "Placed in line for Interview Scheduling". This will almost always happen after you've completed the biometrics. Most offices have a queue for interviews, so this usually means the name check has been completed and you're waiting for an interview slot. Someone can correct me here, since I don't have first-hand experience (yet!) - going off of other forum posts and Google searches Ok so maybe I will see that on my Case Status soon. Thank you ! Today, after 24h since I went to the post office and left my package there, my package was still in the city I live cuz I have a tracking number and I could see. It's gonna get there next week !! We thought we will save some money since all this process is so expensive but now if I could take my package back I would pay 200 $ just to send it with FEDEX. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 April 2012 filers	From knowledge, I would recommend you print the bank statements of every 3months that way you won't be sending not just plenty but meaningful. You should make sure they cover the period from you and your spouse living together and yes write them on top using a pen if possible but more important, a cover letter with the number ontop. Also remember to include your tax transcripts among others. We sent the taxes already. The problem were 3 documents in Spanish that we have to ask for them in English, which we already did, and the proof that we live together bcuz we didn't send any document saying that. And it should be enough. They consider strong evidence if you have kids together or you bought a house together. Well, not everybody can have those things so fast or maybe they will never have them right ?
