Yo estoy ya en los Estados Unidos, recien empezamos el ajuste de estatus, AOS, asi que en lo que respecta a la entrevista te puedo ayudar. No necesitas realmente llevar informacion sobre las vacunas, eso es solo para los que aplican a la visa CR1, IR1 y K3. Para los de visa K1, TIENES que tener esos certificados de vacuna, si no te toca pagar aqui como 35 usd por vacuna y 150 si no te ha dado varicela (chicken pox) de nino. Mi mama tenia esos registros, un carton verde con las vacunas, posiblemente puede ir al Centro de Salud para esos registros.

For K1 you do not need the vaccinations record for the medical exam, but you WILL for the vaccination supplement I-693A when you are doing the Adjusment of Status. If it is worth anything, I was not requested that form when I travel. I did with Continental. I have traveled with COPA and their web site is a mess. I think she should only show her visa and nothing else.

I'm just wondering. Is it possible to petition a foreign spouse while the American is in his or her country? Could he mail it from there or could a relative do it on their behalf after they've filled out the forms? Just wondering because what if the couple decide to stay together during the process?

In the second item of question 38 says... have you ever been refused admission to the U.S., or been the subject of a deportation hearing, or sought to ....
Last time i visit the US, Steve was my boyfriend, and they decided to make a second interview at the POE when i have kind of an audience, was that the deportation hearing?
I am really nervous to put down yes, and then have more problems. I read a post that someone was denied the entry and VJs adviced to put it yes, since it is common.

Any help, greatly appreciated.

In my country, the medical exam consisted on blood pressure test, TB test and blood test for HIV and VD determination. (TB is tuberculosis with an Xray determination). Not pap test.

The forms of the packet 4 i have, says only that HIV possitive is not eligible for the visa. They do not talk about TB specifically.

(I am not a doctor either, but i have had two different kind of test for TB. One is the x-ray, and other one is a reaction that they measured. The doctor give you a shot of something in your arm, and your body made a circle in that place of the shot as the reaction. According to the size of this circle TB is detected. This test is that takes like a week.)

Hopefully within 2-3 weeks, we'll be running with the post-NOA2 crowd. That said, we've started researching the next step. I had surgery a month ago and was taking some pretty funky pain pills. When I was reading the forums during that time, I was in a haze, so I don't remember alot. I do however vaguely remember a few things that I would appreciate elaboration on -

1. I remember someone talking alot about a bar code on one of the DS forms. It seemed pretty important.

2. I also remember someone mentioning that some documentation was incorrect in that Form B - not Form A was to be used as a (receipt??) for the (visa??) payment.

3. I started filling out the I-134 within Adobe. The form seems to have some fields linked as in a couple instances data was incorrectly duplicated into fields other than the one I was filling in. Has anyone else experienced that and has come of with a work-around (other than doing it by hand)?

The only thing I want to advice you is to work on the I134 form and all the support documents as the tax forms, the pay roles, the letter from the bank, the employer, etc. It took a lot of time for us since my fiance travels a lot and we are now waiting with all the papers ready for the interview. The rest of the forms you can fill out in a while. The guides have examples of how to fill them that are pretty helpful.

The exam is valid for 1 year. They recommend you to do in 2 weeks of advance of the interview (so that you dont have the results delayed for the bid date). Maybe they got confused. Try to check out the information on the consular section.

I guess you are talking about the DS-156, please clarify coz I did a K1 and some things are similar.
Of course you can leave those questions with not answer and will be ok. But you can put in question 33 that you are not planning to study since it is not the purpose of the K3 (if it is the DS156 the one you are talking about).

I had the same problem, I fill out them and then I called the embassy to tell them that (one has an expiration date of 2004!), they say it does not matter but if i can, get the new versions barcoded (DS-156) over the internet. Do not worry and good luck.

Hello everyone. I am totally confused. My fiancee received packet 3 and I always thought that for fiancee visa I need to file I-134 form, but her papers mention I-864 forms all over the place. Which one should I file?! :wacko: :help: :blink: Thank you!

P.S. Regardless of which form I need to file, I think I'll need statement from the bank. Is that something banks deal with regularly or I'll have to explain 5 times to different supervisors? What kind of statement should it be? From what I understood, it should be a statement saying when the account was opened, how much was deposited this year, and the current balance. The funny thing is, for few days there was a lot of money deposited there because I was buying a house... and the current balance will look tiny :)


I had in my packet 4 asking me for the I-134 and in the packet 4 downloaded from the web page the I-864. when i called the consulate they told me to take both with me. But when I was at the interview they clarified that the I-134 is for the K1 visa interview and the I-864 for the adjustment of status.
(Watch out the expiration date of the I-134, mine was expired but they did not care since there wasnt any other updated)

Asking for that letter is not a big problem, but my fiance had to deal with a lot of waiting from his bank. He couldnt do it over the phone, he faxed them a letter.

Yoly, let me answer only the one related with the payment.

You can put the name of your fiancee there and there is no problem. I put down Steve (my fiance's name) or me, and i did not have any trouble.

I know this is silly, but I'm just completely nervous over the whole interview. I've read tons of the reviews from the embassy and I've had plenty of people tell us everything will be fine, but damn, I can't shake the nervousness. GAH!

My problem was pessimism, I had the idea that someone was to stop my dream to be with my fiance even though people keep telling me that it will be fine. You know what, i was not pessimist or nervous at all during the interview. Feel free to feel, this is the way you are going to tell your story to ur kids. Good luck.

I am going to reply you only about the EVAF. This electronic form is for the DS230, you have to fill it online, not handwriting, because it will give you a bar code that is going to be scanned at the consulate for easy entry of data. Do not sign, you will have to sign it in the consulate.

Try to read some experiences from your embassy, (It is a the top with the title Embassy Info), you can find the same pattern of questions for your embassy.

I little late the answer, hopefully it will help.
You can download from the website of the consulate in Guayaquil. Be aware that some forms are not updated. There is the DS-156 (?) if i am not wrong that has to has be bar coded. Make sure you get the barcoded one. If you do not get the updated forms, use the ones they have. I download the new ones in english from USCIS and not problem.

My husband did not notarized any of those papers. Just in case recheck the instructions. I remember the I-864 did not need them (for adjustment of status). I think you need the I-134 for the K1 visa.
