Again, thank you all for your input. I could try to further explain our relationship and our circumstances but that would only serve to stir more questions (for more details) and/or comments which would in essene cause me to be consumed with trying to convince you all. That would be pointless in so many levels...so I won't. I really do appreciate the time and energy you've put into responding...even more than I'm willing to put into this string and forum. Part of that is the simple fact that none of you are able to have an impact on reality so it's not fare for me to waste anymore of your time.

My desire for all of you is that if your relationships are genuine, then your process will be quick and smooth. If they're not genuine (which likely means one off the parties might even be being deceived) then I desire for God to protect you for your own good. I always ask for this same blessing in my relationship with Stephen.

Thank you everyone for your input, your respectfulness and your maturity. I had no idea this would be such a mess :-( Since when, as an American does someone else get to make life decisions for me? It's sad to learn. If I believe his heart and intentions to be genuine, who is someone else to have the right to question it? It simply seems very wrong :-( I'm not referring to you guys or even looking for a response for my short rant. Just expressing. It makes no sense that they won't even allow him to come here with the understanding that if we decided (for some strange reason) not to marry then he'd simply go back. It won't do me any good to try to express the things and reasons I believe him to be genuine to you guys so I won't waste your time (I'm not saying you doubt us). I really appreciate your help and advice. I'll keep you posted. Not feeling like such an American anymore....Lica

I must be naive, explain to me what you mean by fraud?
Their letter describes that it cause her mental anguish if I were to be away. It also stated that I need to be available, it's important.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed reply. Also, thank you for being sincere and not being rude. I left another post because they were rude to me there, not giving me one ounce of hope but also being rude about it.

he can't visit because he was denied a visa on August 29th. They gave him a standard form letter that said he didn't prove he had reasons to return. They never reviewed the documents he had with him including a car title, property titles, a letter of support from his cousin and my letter of invitation. They only looked at his passport asked him who he was visiting and why and denied him.

I'm not sure what are age has to do with it but he's turning 25 and I just turned 42. Life has made him a mature 25. We're both very serious about our faith and we expressed that in our letters without trying to go overboard as it could turn someone off that's reviewing our application.

He was denied a visa on August 29th. I have a letter that signed and notarized by the nurse RN at the nursing home that explains my need to be there and that I'm her legal guardian and I also included my legal guardian paperwork. both of our letters describe that I'm the only one that's there for her, her family lives in Florida. She's in the end stages of kidney failure and is also a diabetic. They've talked about amputating a foot/leg. She can't walk or use her left arm due to several strokes she's had. She's been declining in hell for the past 6 months worse than she already was. I've been her guardian since 2010. I also included a letter from the front of the court that says if I owe more than 2,500 dollars I won't be eligible for a passport. I explained in my cover letter that I've never received anything stating that restriction has been lifted from my record even though I've made payments.
*Friend of the Court ( the letter states I owed $4040 @ the time.

I think our situation might be quite unique. We met in an online dating site in December 2012. We haven't met in person. I mailed out our package on Wednesday October 16, 2013. Included is a letter signed and notarized by my employer (of almost 14 years) stating that I can't get time off of work because my boss was in the hospital for 2 months and is already scheduled to go back in and have more surgery. It also includes a signed and notarized letter from a nursing home where my long time friend resides. I'm her legal guardian and need to be here for her. It describes that I need to be here to make decisions and support her emotionally etc. It also includes a letter from my pastor about his knowledge of my relationship with Stephen, our plan for him to council us for marriage etc. I'm just wondering what the chances are that will get approved for the exception of not having met in person??? Any thoughts?

Im an American citizen who has been living In Canada for many years my income now is from Canadian pension plan (CPP) so all my tax returns are from Canada. But have recently moved to USA to reside with my mother. Im married to an Egyptian man and we r apply for the I-130 form. I wonder if I can sponsor my husband with my income being from Canada ?

HI sorry folks Im still a bit confused about this sponsor thing cuz we have got some advise that leads us to believe that between us we do make enough money to sponsor my husband we all live at the same residence and as for the amount of money combined we do qualify BUT !!!!!! here is the million dollar question so to speak ....... My income is Cpp Disability from Canada n is non taxable and my mom and her partner r both on SS which is non taxable SO that being said does ANYONE know if the income has to be TAXABLE INCOME ???? Because we were already approved for our I-130 but the next step is going to be the sponsor stuff and I would just like to know if anyone would have any idea before I send all the money and info in if possible cuz otherwise Ill wait and try n find another solution before spending all the money I have already spent so much thus far I dont want to just keep sending If I know we wont be accepted Im sure most people understand this . Thank you very much for your advise . I`m getting a little nervous because its looking like we won`t qualify and paying a sponsor doesn`t seem to be a good idea. Does the fact that I`m on CPP disability and he is a resident Dr. in Egypt and will be the main bread winner of our family have any baring on him coming to the USA or no ? Another question is can I apply for Canada as well in case this wont work in the USA or do I have to withdraw one for the other ?

Thank you so much for all your replies it is greatly appreciated. My Income Is CPP it is a permanent disability income I can live anywhere and still collect it . My understanding is that anyone can sponsor if they meet the requirements is that incorrect ? I really do appreciate any and all advise its all getting so overwhelming. Thanks again, Debra
