So far there have been two approvals, one from Honduras and another from Guatemala. There has been two RFEs and one denial.

I guess I should give an update. I received my spouses biometric appointment on 4/4/2013 and we went in the ASC office the next day via walk-in. I waited outside the building and it only took him 15 min. to complete everything. I also got a my final checklist notice from the NVC stating that all that needs to be filed is the I-601A approval notice so that they can schedule the interview. Now all we have to do is wait....I hate waiting...

I wanted to share some things I found out today while bored and browsing the internet:
1. FBI fingerprints get processed and sent back to the USCIS in a matter of days: http://immigrationro...urity-check.php
2. Here is a really good link here giving insight to "black hole" process we all wonder about when we send out packages processedl: Q and A by a USCIS adjudicator:http://www.visajourney.com/content/adjudicator-q-and-a
3. You can check when your case has been "touched" or looked at by an officer (adjudicator) by checking the "Last Updated" date after logging into your profile on USCIS located beside the case number.
Hope this gives some enlightenment as to inside working at USCIS (L)

I want to say I got my letter today and my appointment is for the 4/26/ at 10:00 am do we have to pay more for this
I wish everyone good luck

Nope, you already paid the 85 dollar fee when you filed the I-601A. $670 includes this: $585 for the form and $85 for the fingerprints.

I got my biometrics appointment!!!!! I'm due April 23

Yes several people have been getting their appointment letters today. They must print them in batches! Notice is dated 3/29/113 and the appointment is for 4/25/2013.
We are one step closer!

Have you received the letter for your biometrics yet? USCIS received my application on March 14th

No, I have not. I will post when I hear anything. I've been reading on immigrate2us that some are receiving their appointment letters for their visa interviews even though they have properly notified the NVC (their PWs have not been approved yet). I just notified the Mexican Consulate (they have a specific drop down menu for the I-601A) that I have a pending PW on file with USCIS. I will let you all know as well if I hear anything from them. I notified them just in case as I have already filed everything necessary for the NVC to close out our case. Everyone is saying to hold off on filing everything with the NVC due to this error.

No one knows. Here is the statement made by Schaeffer Law that pretty much sums it up:
At this point in time, no one should be promising you that they can get you a decision on your I-601A waiver within a certain amount of time. Even the government doesn’t know the answer to this question yet.
The processing time will be determined by how many applications are submitted and the flow of those applications. Until USCIS begins to accept applications on March 4, 2013, there is no way to make an estimate on the processing times for I-601A waivers.

No I have not. I even called USCIS today and talked to a Tier 2 representative and she told me that nothing had been done yet on my case. Until an adjudicator is assigned to your case, you will not have any requests for evidence, including a request for biometric appointments. Hope this helps.

How many hardships did you all send evidence of?

I wrote what many have suggested and according to Laural Scott's web site: http://www.scottimmi...ontent/i601memo
She said to only use your top 4-5 strongest arguments. Any more than that would "overwhelm" the adjudicator.

My lawyer told me they sent my I 601a application on March 7th. I had already noticed the NVC about my case and paid all fees. I'm a little concerned because as of today, March 26th I have not received any emails or texts saying that the lockbox received my application. Has this happened to anyone?

I recommend this link: http://immigrate2us....ormation/page51
They have many people like you who have not received anything and filed early March. My guess is that either your lawyer did not send a form G-1145 (for text and e-mail notification) or that only your lawyer received the receipt notice and you haven't gotten your copy yet. Call USCIS, they should be able to help you: 1-800-375-5283

I just received my NOA in the mail. It says they will schedule a biometric appointment soon and will mail me the appointment date and time. Thank you hellorebecca for recommending the immigrate2US.net. It has been very informative and I have the name desertflower on their blog now. They worry me a little because I didn't do things exactly the way some people did (especially those who have attorneys) ....but I followed all of the instructions on the form and did my homework (even made an appointment with an USCIS officer to confirm information...so we shall see! (crossing my fingers). And no, Mrs.A2010, my husband is from Mexico too :)

There are a few folks using the forum immigrate2us.net to discuss 601A process. It's a nice community. You can see timelines, post your own, etc. Just a few of us so far, but it is great to have company!

I've searched this site before and I am having trouble finding a thread. Could you post one? I swear sometimes I'm the first one who has filed this form! Every time I send USCIS something, call them with a question, or get a notification, they update their website or correct an error.

I'm going through the same thing at the moment. We all just need to wait. There is hope at the end. We will all be with our love ones soon.

Thanks for the support....and yes, patient (kind of ;) and waiting!

I want to start out by saying that I am posting this thread in hopes of finding others like myself that are also going through the I-601A filing process. I cannot find anything on the internet besides lawyers guessing as to what the possible outcomes may be.
I filed the I-601A at the lock-box facility in Chicago, IL and they received it on March 20, 2013. Yesterday they send me a text and email stating that they had accepted my application a receipt number starting with MSC was given. I'm assuming this means it will be sent to the Missouri National Benefits Center. Today, March 22, my case status is online to check on the USCIS webpage. All it says is that it received my fingerprinting fees and they will send me an official letter in the mail explaining the next steps that need to be taken in this process.
I already have an approved I-130 (IR-1 status) and a pending case with the NVC.
