Greetings everyone!

Our "visajourney" has been a bittersweet one. I recently contracted a kidney problem, and the embassy agreed to expedite our visa. Talk about a miracle, seeing you go from 21,500 in the waiting list to having an open date for interview!

Our medical results will be done on Nov 26th, and we will go for the interview on Nov 27th. My question is this: Do you receive the visa same day in Dominican Republic, or is there a wait? If so long do you wait to receive the visa?
Only one person doing a CR-1 timeline for Dominican Republic bothered to fill in the visa receipt date on their timeline and it was same date as interview.

K-1s show 3 - 7 days to receive visa after interview.

I see that, I'm wondering for those DR applications going for IR1/CR1, if they could respond specifically and let me know how long the wait has been... smile.gif

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresJust received our NOA1
*sigh* It is exciting to have received our first NOA, but the waiting is going to kill me, I think. I admire the community that has been formed here, as people from all across the globe wait to be united, and in some senses, accepted.

I would appreciate prayers that the process goes smoothly, that we can be patient and have faith in God to carry us through this time.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-130 done early in CA and a few other questions
We got our NOA-2 on 7/12, basically three months ahead of schedule. anyone else happen to be so fortunate?

I'm wondering about the I-864. Are they still using the past three years for income? I'm a foreign missionary and made about 17K last year, but the years before 14K and 11K. If my interview is after april 15 of '07, will they look at my income from this curent year, too?

another question - my wife is pregnant, due in march. if she has the baby will that be taken into account if they look at my income for this current year? I don't want to arrive at the interview and discover I need a sponser when for last year's income, I didn't.

if this makes no sense, let me know and I will do my best to rephrase.

say is there anyone else going through the DR consulate? I'm wondering how long it's taking between NOA2 and the interview at the consulate here.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresany dominicans out there? (waiting time for consulate)
I'm wondering if there is anyone who has experience with the US Consulate in the Dominican Republic - e.g. their interview experience, paperwork issues, etc. More specifically how long is the typical wait time for an interview after the consulate receives the NVC paperwork. any information would be helpful!
