The # was a non-working # for NVC. My case has been in Ap for 35 days now. I called them back and the operator denied knowing anything about the call and said NVC does not call anyone. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Forms to send to embassy	I appreciate anyone's help in sending docs to the embassy. The instruction is asking for the originals and copies of birth certificate and divorce to be sent to embassy. I was under the impression that one would take the original copies with them at the time of interview. Also, the Iranian divorce docs for my fiance in the booklet form was given to her ex-husband and her original is not in the booklet form. Anyone run into this issue before? They told me it is waiting to be processed. They are very good at responding thru emails. what seems to be rediculous is that they only do up to 5 interviews a day. I have the same feeling which I dont want to call it jealousy I feel it when read/hear stories about couples whose entire process ended in just few months. I feel it when see couples can go back and forth and meet each other to ease the pain, we cannot plan to meet due to our limitations. When I receive wedding party's invitation, I know that none of my family members can attend and there will be just 2-3 friends. It is so hard to deal with. Hi Rebekah, We are in the same boat and deeply understand how you feel. it is 72 days since our interview. we provided whatever they asked for, he came with me and attended the interview. The officer returned the papers and pictures and said check the website for your number to appear after 7 or 10 days. I started to check the site from the night of interview After one month we sent them a follow up e-mail and they replied that the AP of our case will take approximately 1 or 2 months. Our case: She owned home and mortgage, still was working in Jakarta We had not filed any petitions (130 or 129F) before we applied for visitors visa The consul told us they are instructed specifically in spousal cases that being married to USC pre-empts any other ties to their home countries, and it didnt matter that she still had a mortgage and job, being married made her ties to US too strong. That was us, and if I were to go back I would still have tried. That is OUR embassy, they are all different and I encourage you to try.
