Mexico, Latin & South America	POE MIAMI - My experience :)	Hola! I'd like to share my experience... On 14th March, 2012 I left my beautiful family and my beautiful country for starting a new life with my Teddy. We left Peru at 2:30pm. By 5:30pm we arrived to San Jose, Costa Rica Airport. My Teddy and I waited like 40 minutes to take the 2nd plane to Miami We arrived to Miami Aiport at 10:30pm. I loved both planes since they were bussines class and for me, to have the 1st time on planes, it was something I really enjoyed Fortunately, Miami Aiport was really really empty, we didn't make any line We went to the Immigrant Line, my Teddy was with me. A woman from customs security was talking to my husband, she was serious but at the same time very funny, she was asking him about the way we met each other... She took my brown envelope (I took a very good care since the 1st time I got it) she didn't open it but she told us: "follow me" She took us to a room were there were like 6 more person waiting. We sat and like 5 minutes later a man from a windows called us. We stood up in front of the windows and he opened the brown envelope, he was checking the documents that were inside of the envelope. He asked us for taking sit again. After 10 minutes he called us again and he made me sign a document, then he told us: "Follow me" We went to a different room where he took my fingerprints and he putted a stamp on my passport (Department of Homeland Security US. and Customs and Border Protection - Admitted MIA) Finally he told us to remove the Conditions 90 days before my arrival and that was all, all took us like 20 minutes! He was very kind and nice. Now I'm finally with my Teddy ???? No more distance for us!! YAY!!! ???? Wishing the best of luck for all of you my friends   Congratulations on your new life....it is really encouraging to read this, i can't help but imaging us going through the same path to finally be together. How exciting, that you guys are having a baby too....what a blessing!!....we can't wait to have one and all this situation, plus the stress and the distance is driving us crazy...but this post reminds me there is hope. Philippines	Rumors True? Don't Let It Be!	(s Flat-out denied? or were they asked to submit additional documents?   If I were you, I would concentrate on my own case and do the preparation for bonafide relationship ahead of time so I wouldn't cram before the actual interview day.   Each case is different.  The consul will assess your case based on the evidences that you submitted and the circumstances of your relationship.   Stop listening to the "rumors", IMO.     Exactly what i was writing....i know its hard not to be worried, but it helps a lot to have the right set of mind and keep being possitive. Avoid the negativity.   There is a saying that goes: Opinions are like a**holes everyone has one....but they mostly stink.... Forgive my lack of delicacy LOL but is funny and soooooo true! Philippines	Rumors True? Don't Let It Be!	HI   I honestly don't know for a fact and i think it would be a little bit hard for anybody here to say if it is 100% true, but it sounds to me like is more a rumor than anything. The reason being that the consulate has to focus on the proofs they have for the case, i don't think an specific date of the month is going to make a difference on the approval or denial. Have all your ducks on a row and have faith and everything should be alright.   You would be surprise with the amount of negative feedback people sometimes can give you (not necessarily here), but what makes a difference is how you learn how to handle them. VSC, I-129F	Your post gives me hopes, sometimes i feel so depressed and overwhelmed with this whole process....i have been waiting for more than 6 months and it's a drag...my fiance it's going crazy and he is just so sad everyday....I will definitely write the letter today. If anybody has recently received their approval from VSC for a k-1, when did you file?  Just trying to get an idea what dates they are currently processing now.  Thank you very much.   Derek & Nicole   Hi   I am from late october, my service center is also Vermont...Just to let you know that i got off the phone with a Tier2 agent of USCIS about an hour ago and he told me that they are currently processing October 1st....it's definetly not what i wanted to hear, specially since i have been waiting for almost 7 months...but i keep my hopes up and pray there is a NOA2 coming up soon, he said 25 more days for me..i hope that is right, because i'm going crazy here.   I hope this information is helpful to you,   Good Luck! I just checked online USCIS webstie and status is that : On May 21, 2013 we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I-129F PETITION FOR FIANCE9E). Even though I haven't receiived any notification via email yet, but I am still happy. thanks for your support     OMG.....CONGRATULATIONS!!!   I was about to tell you that you were not alone, they received my papers on 10-26 and that today when i spoke to a tier2 he told me that i should wait an extra 25 days, since they were working on October 1st. But now you are the one giving me hope...i really hope i get our NOA2 soon...the stress, depression, anxiety and separation is taking the best of us. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Getting to a Tier 2 Rep	Your information is quite helpful thank you!!!   Thanks....VJ has help me so much that it's the least i can do.....     They always say they're working on October 1st but we can see November filers getting approved already, why didn't you ask them to put in a service request for you since you are obviously way out of the normal 5 month processing time according to the uscis website?   Anyhow, I believe you will get your NOA2 soon since the rep did say that you didn't have any RFE. this information is truly helpful, will definitely try and call now! thank you so much   Last time when i called they told me they were behind a month but didnt tell me they were working on an specific month, today the give was very helpful and he even round it out to days (25 more days to be exact) i hope he didn't get my hopes high for nothing. I did however, point out the differences in approval times and his reply was to try not to compare our cases to others because every case is different. I figure i could have use the service request but since i already have the Congresswoman calling on my behalf and since he gave me a time estimate, i decided to wait the 25 days and that would buy me time to gather my paperwork together for the next phase of the journey.   I just pray to God that i don't receive an RFE after all this, that would truly bring me down....but for now i have to stay positive and have faith i will be posting my NOA2 Approved post soon	Adriana&Karel	Female	Venezuela	2013-05-21 10:41:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Getting to a Tier 2 Rep	well at least you got to be put on hold but I wasn't allowed to. they said call a different time. when we did, we got the same answer. its frustrating. i would love to hear what will happen with your call tomorrow so i hope you can keep me posted! thanks!   Hello....   So...I started my day by calling my Congresswoman's office, i had contacted them before and wanted an update on their part, they told me that they had received my privacy release form and were actually working on getting me more information and resolution to my case, that was a good sing.   Right after that i called USCIS and spoke to a tier1 officer, she told me that the only information she had was whatever showed on the website, so i went ahead and scalated to a tier2...they offered again to get my contact information and call me back in 3-5 days....of course i refused that offer and just waited....The recording told me this time my estimated waiting time of 40 mins. I waited anyways and at last someone picked up my called.    After explaining the situation to the officer, he said everything looked good on my end, and that so far there is no request of further information (Thank God!!!) but that they are currently working on October 1st, and my case was received on October 26th, so that i should wait for 25 more days so i can receive my NOA2. It is not what i wanted to hear, but at least i got some insight on whats going on....i hate being on the shadows, i feel so powerless because there is nothing i cant do but wait..urgh!!   Anyways, i hope this info is helpful for your....try calling now!!....don't get a NO for an answer, it is your right to be informed and they can't tell you you cant wait for a Tier2..The waiting time this time wasnt as excruciating as yesterday, so go and make the call....   Good Luck!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Getting to a Tier 2 Rep	Hello all,   I'm trying to get to talk to a Tier 2 rep, but Tier 1 reps say they are busy so they couldn't connect us to them and if I offer to wait and its okay for me to be on hold they still won't allow that. I just wanna ask how you guys got to talk to a tier 2 rep based on your experience. Or does anyone know a time where Tier 2 reps are reachable? I'd be glad to hear your experiences. thanks!   Hi,   I tried to talking to one today too and i was on hold for 2 hours and a few minutes, that is CRAZY....!!! I mean, i know i'm not the only one calling but 2 hours on hold seem like a bit much, needless to say i had to hung up without any luck since i was at work and that didn't help my situation. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	VSC DEC FILER APPROVED!!!!	And they tell us that they are going in the order they received them, obviously not though.  I wonder why there is a hold up with yours, thats weird.  Did you receive a RFE?   Nope, it is so frustraiting.   My congresswoman it's working on it, i have called USCIS, las phone called was on tuesday...their answer (Tier2) was that they were currently working on October 1st and are doing the best they can, that he sees my case on the computer and everything looks great, there is not sign of further information needed, but to give it 25 more days...when asked about other filers from Nov, Dec, Jan being approved his answer was..not to compare cases since they are all different.   I am part of a group of people who are still waiting to be approved, just today i saw someone posting receiving an NOA2 after 11 months....that's crazy!!...even if he had an RFE (idk if he did) its way too much time, this was supposed to be the shorter route, if i wanted to wait this excrutiating time appart i would have married there and come back...at least my fiance would had more benefits at arrival.   Sorry for the rant....i just cant seem to cheer up lately...but i dont want to bring anybody down...so even if you are waiting keep your hopes up...i have faith mine would come any day soon	Adriana&Karel	Female	Venezuela	2013-05-23 07:43:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NOA2 Recieved!!! Now what...?	Wow I can't believe I just received our NOA2! It has been very rough for us being apart and we actually broke up for almost 2 months and just got back together 2 days ago, then today I received the NOA2! So I think that is a good sign!   I have read what the next steps are, such as filling out the Affadavit of support and sending to my fiance. Can anyone tell me how long the process usually takes from here? Does my fiance get his interview in a month from now? And does the beneficiary have to call the embassy to set up his interview or will they contact him with his interview date? And after the interview how long does it take for them to approve you?   Also anyone have an interview in Spain?? Any tips/advice??    Sorry a million questions I am sooooo excited and my fiance is sleeping because of the time difference so I havent even gotten the chance to speak to him about it yet!   Thank you so much!!!   Hi, Congratulations!!! I don't know much about it since i'm still waiting for my NOA2, but at this point you both should start gathering all the paperwork...in your case, proof of employment (i believe is just a letter stating your position, pay, time at that job and whether if is permanent or temporary), W2, Taxes from the past 3 years, I134 (Affidavit of support for you and a co-sponsor if any). As far as his documents, he would need police records, vaccinations records, valid passport (6mos prior to visa), and translated and certified documents like birth certificate, divorce decree if any,,,,,oh and 4 photos...I am sure there is someone out here who can inform you better, but for now this should be a start   The case gets send from the NVC to the fiance's consulate and once the visa fee is paid they will provide the list of doctors for the medical exam...once that is done, the interview should follow ( i think you gotta call and place it for him, please double check on this).   If any of what i mention is not correct, please provide us with the right info....Thanks This process is so difficult, i understand the frustration of your fiance....it happens to all of us....my fiance gets really depressed and it's very hard for me to cheer him up when i'm just so stressed out, discouraged and sad too....we have been waiting for almost 7 months and still have no answer. At least love conquered and now you two are together again. Thank God we haven't broken off, but it gets harder and harder to keep being optimist, to pretend everything is great and perfect, when in reality you just want to leave it all to be with the one you love....luckily you are getting near!!.....donn't loose faith!!!   Congratulations again, i wish you guys the best on this journey.   Good Luck! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Guess What?!?	My vacation went GREAT! I saw my Honey for 5 days and it was amazing. It was much needed and it definitely took my mind of the process for a bit. Yesterday was hard though! Leaving him each time gets harder especially when you are left in the air with no decision! We cried and departed and my heart felt heavy all through yesterday. I traveled from 8am until 3am to get home and when I checked the mail to see if my NOA2 was there of course it wasn't! I prayed for a long time last night for hope strength and maybe an answer!   This morning my usual routine is to get to work sign in to my PC and open up all my work screens. For the past 8 months USCIS.gov was one of them. Everyday I entered my receipt number and it told me my case could not be found! Today I looked and all of sudden it was there!! On May 22 we mailed you and NOA2 that your app was APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!! OMG OMG OMG OMG. My whole department clapped and some even cried! Thank you Jesus! I love you! I woke him up and we both cried because GOD is good and answered our prayer!!!     Thank you VJ fam for all the love! Now on to the CITA!!!!!         OMG i just cried reading your post and i don't even know you....this is such a hard process....i couldn't help but imagine that every thing that happened to you it was me who was living it...i hope that doesnt freak you out...i mean it on the good way. CONGRATULATIONS!!! i hope that after 7 months waiting i will wake up really, really soon and find that on my email or the website. I have gone through so many farewells, cries at the airport, my poor fiance can't take it any longer, he just avoided taking me to board the plane to save us the dreadful and teary goodbye. I miss him so much i'm even crying right now...I hope it all keeps going smooth for you and your soon to be spouse! Best Wishes!!     Wow that's cool.  Your age difference is almost exactly the same as ours.  And you are right age makes no difference.  My wife's family is so happy for her.  I met her online on a dating site.  There was something about her that just drew me in.  After a couple of months chatting I decided to visit her.  I surprised her and arrived the night before my scheduled arrival.  So I showed up at her apartment that she shared with her sister and the security guard went to call her, it was 11:30 at night. She lived in a woman's only dorm.  She came out and saw me, screamed and ran back into the apartment. I could hear her screaming to her sister that I was there.  After a few minutes her sister came out and also screamed, gave me a big hug and ran back into the apartment to get her sister.  A few minutes later my beautiful Zoila came out and I saw her close up for the first time.  She was so beautiful.  Her eyes told me everything I needed to know.  She is just 4'9" (I am 5'11").  She approached me, grabbed my arm and looked up at me with those big beautiful brown eyes.  I melted.  I knew right away that this was real and I knew she was the girl I had always dreamed of.  Well the rest just came together.  Three days later I proposed to her at a roof-top restaurant.  I had secretly coordinated with her sister to find a venue, a video crew, a photographer and a six member singing group.  I had intended on proposing to her if things went well and as such I had brought an engagement ring along with me.  Zoila and I were seated in the restaurant and after we ordered our dinner I got up to go to the CR.  Just as I did this her sister walked in and the singing group got up and approached our table and began singing "I want to marry you" by Bruno Mars.  By this time Zoila is freaking out, now she knows something is going on.  After a few minutes I returned with a large bouquet of flowers and got down on one knee and proposed.  Thank God she said yes!  (You can watch the video and many others, including our Lapu Lapu wedding on YouTube if you like.  Just search for David Olsten.)   Oh and by the way.  I was so convinced that Zoila was the girl for me that I arranged to hold a wedding just 4 days later.  About 85 family members attended.  We had a feast and it was amazing.   So you are right, love knows no age.  If you watch the videos you will see that we adore each other.  Thank GOD for these blessings.  And the best blessings for you and your fiance.    ALOHA KE AKUA	Adriana&Karel	Female	Venezuela	2013-05-24 00:00:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	CSC July filer	You shouldn't wait, contact your senators.  Most Senators have aids who take care of these things on a regular basis.  There's really no reason you should have to wait for someone to look into your case after so long   I totally agree to this....i contacted my congresswoman already, i have never spoken to her, didn't send an email or a letter, but it was all done through one of her assistants i guess, she is in charge of dealing with immigration claims, they sent a letter to VSC already and are interfiring on my behalf. I really hope it works out for you, i really feel your pain. Although i have only waited for 7 months i know it is depressing and our lives are at a complete hault. Also, keep calling. It took me a few tries to get to speak to a tier2, they left me on hold for hours, sometimes they were not help at all and at others they seem almost apologetic for my situation...it helps to keep remining them that you are on top of your case.   Good Luck! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Vsc proceesing time	Today i woke up with this pain in my heart i cant see myself waiting for 6-7 more months i will go crazy my relationship is already rocky i just want to be with my future husband. Im writting pacrell idc!   I know how you feel Hunnie my relationship with my future husband is great...but if im away or we haven't seen each other for too long its no so great anymore, it's so hard being away, and just talk on the phone, chat, etc that it does become almost impossible not to be down, depressed, grumpy, and frustrated. It is a constant test and I continue to tell myself that  if we are able to pass this we will able to overcome everything in life, this has made us trust each other more, make our patience stronger and be commited to this love whatever happens....this is what gives me hope for us, that we havent given up, our love is strong and we'll make it work.  Try focusing on the positive and keep busy gathering documents or reading about the process...it helps me!   Will you be filing the I134 on your own? or do you have a co-sponsor? The reason why i ask is because the co-sponsor makes it easier for you to go wait with your fiance at least for a few weeks...and it's so important some times to have that connection with your love.   Anyways, when im down...i appreciate the words of encouragement....i hope i was able to give you a little of that!   Good luck on your journey! The only thing that made me glad i called was hearing from them that my case seem fine and in order...so hopefully that means no RFE for me....fingers crossed!!   I will continue to pray and bother my congresswoman in hopes to get my NOA2 before the end of the month....my fiance and i are so down and depressed, we have tought about abandoning it all and don't let countries decide our destiny...i know it sounds cheesy but being appart has become so hard, specially because we can't start our lives like we want to...I wish there was an easy way to do it all.   Good luck to you all! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2012 K1 filers	Don't loose hope guys, i was about to quit the process...i felt drained, my fiance and i were both depressed and exhausted with the waiting and the tension this whole process had created....but when i least expected it came....there it was, my approval came on May 24th, just a day shy from the 7 months mark...so dont lose the faith, contact your congressman, senators, God and whoever you have to, pray and hang in there because your day will soon be here too.   You are all in my prayers...Good Luck!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!! :D	yes, but do you have your Visa in hand?   don't get your hopes to high, I did the same and am now in AP because the US embassy in France thinks it is doing its job...   I am the petitioner and he does not have a visa on hand yet.   I am sorry that happened to you but we have a pretty solid story, we known each other for 15 years, he was my first real BF (highschool sweetheart) and my only worry so far its the fact that i might need an sponsor and can't find one yet, even without it i have faith in God and i know that he will help us all go throught this, if things dont go as planned thats why i always have a plan B, i won't let anybody denied me happiness, nor immigration or a country...Thanks for the input though, I hope it all works out for you as well! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!! :D	Thank you everybody!!!......Thank you for the kind words and the wishes!...it means the world to me...I am so greatful for the kind words   Congratulations!  It's true that it take longer time this year than before, you can see those petitions of venezuela since 2012 august-november, all couples had waited  more than 6 months untill NOA2,  instead of not even 4 or 5 months  at 2011 or the starting months of 2012.  so don't worry, from now the journey will be very fast    I sure hope so, someone told me Ccs embassy was a very easy one, i am so nervous/excited. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!! :D	I am soooo excited....I checked the USCIS website about an hour ago and i couldn't belive my eyes...My case is approved guys!!! I cannot describe the level of gratitud and happines i felt, God is good!!.....i prayed everyday, i wrote to the congresswoman, i wrote to the senator, i called all the time, i lost sleep, i cried almost everynight but it is finally here.   After 7 months exactly i can finally do my happy dance...woohoo!!!!!!       Thank you all for the words of encouragement, for all the answers and all the advices...i have been waiting for this day for so long!    Thank you God! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	November 2012 filers	Omg!!!!!!!!!!! I'm shaking so bad!!! Praise God! We were approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   How amazing it is that a few days ago we were crying and sharing stories of how frustraiting it was to go through all this with kids, Now, here we are with our NOA2 and with that feeling of relief it brings, i wish your journey its smooth from now on!! Im really happy for you guys!      I called them today and asked to speak to a Tier 2. The lady was very rude and kept asking why. I told her it was about processing times. So she did her whole "oh they are on Oct 15, 2013 so it's not past your time yet." She told me that I would have to wait at least another month before they would probably even get to my case! She kept going on and then asked if I needed anything else. I told her yes I wanted to speak to a tier 2. Shes like are you demanding to speak to one? I then replied with I would like to speak to one please. So finally! she put me on the line with one. I was on hold for about 52 minutes before one came on the phone. 52 minutes is nothing when you've already waited 6.5 months lol. The lady was extremely nice. I was worried at first but all my worries went away. After she asked a few questions she put me back on hold for about five minutes. Once she came back she told me that an office was assigned to my case and if we don't hear something by June 1st that we should call back. I'm guessing that means we should hear something very soon and hopefully that's a NOA2!!!   When i called to try to talk to a tier2 they put me on hold for about 2 hours so i had to hung up,i kept trying and was able to get wait an extra 30 days and if you dont hear anything call us back, but that was on May 13th and on May 24th my status on USCIS had updated, if they said wait until June 1st, i would say  your NOA2 is prob coming soon...Good Luck!
