US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	passport dropped at embassy, where's visa	They can't have the passport for three months cause the visa will expire in 90 days. Sometime they hold for further investigation. Tomorrow I will go get mine. I'll see what they say. Depending on where you are you can stop at the embassy and ask questions. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	passport dropped at embassy, where's visa	Everywhere around the world people are facing the same problem. Why in the world you have to wait so long if they decide to hold the passport. Though you try to call them no answer. I'm going through that same situation. It's been 26 days now still waiting. I don't know what to do. If you can stop at the embassy and see if they will let you in so you can talk to anyone inside. They might give you a better idea. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	after visa issued how much time to get back passport	I don't know what to do. I'm going through that same situation. It's been 24 days now still waiting. I looked online they said the visa is issued or printed in the 26 of August when my interview was on the 22. I went to the post office they kept saying tomorrow. That is very sad to wake up every morning with a hope that you will get your passport but don't get. Imagine what a horrible day you could have.
