IMBRA Special TopicsIMBRA RFE recieved twice!
Yep, I received the second rfe today also. Here’s my letter

Dear USCIS,

I received a second I-129F IMBRA supplement RFE in today’s mail 7/14/06. I have already returned the first one and have received email confirmation that USCIS received it on 7/10/06. How many of these do you need? In fact, why don’t you process the first one since you haven’t processed any cases for 12 weeks.

Sincerely

USCIS Service CentersTime for a lawsuit

law suits??? restraing orders?? restrain from doing what??

Who are you going to sue??

The government is immune from such suits.....you can sue for damages if you can show that you were damaged...with the permission of the Attorney General's office.

No it's called the Mandamus Act... to sue the government for action i'm doing it

What's up with this Non Benefit Center. All the other centers are doing something and we are stuck in this NBC hole. Maybe a lawsuit will wake NBC up!!!

Wow congrats… you might plan on a week in Guz, Attend the American Citizen Hour .. I think it’s on Monday’s now. Some think it makes a small difference. Take a day or 2 to get the medical. If all goes well it’ll take 2 days to pickup the visa after the interview at the China post. There are rooms for rent in the same building as the consulate which makes it easy plus the people who rent them will check over your paperwork and escort you to the medical, and visa fee if you wish. Good Luck

(The hotel address is A805 room, 8th Floor, Tian Yu Garden(¢ò Phase),136-146 Lin He Zhong Road, Tian He District, Guangzhou, China. Phone: 1372482886

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresRFE Question
My I130 was “touched” on 6/21 and 6/22. but the uscis online status page still says it’s normal nothing. If an RFE was issued… would the online status page so indicate?? Thanks

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedureshave the timelines been updated ?

Some folks are saying that timelines have been updated ? I can't see it though Can anyone else tell me I-130 dates for CSC if they can see it ?

Okay got it..looks like link might have changed..so go to uscis.gov site and then navigate to the dates again to see new dates ...Alas K3 is still at March 5, 2006

i130 csc working on jan 02, i just got my i130 approved last monday,my receipt date is march 13 2006..according to the update they should be no where close to my case..

Ok.. for what’s it worth I’ve been told it works this way… The dates posted on the website are when the last cases are dealt with… the “problem cases” so to speak. If the case is “clean” with no problems at all when first looked at.. it is approved. If there is the slightest problem it goes to the next pile.. It could still be approved but it would take from 2 to 6 weeks after it was first looked at. If there is still a problem it goes to the next pile which would be within the dates posted... at that time it could still be approved but will probably get an RFE or a denial. Yours must have been “clean” Congrats ?

I really dont think its the right thing to be calling USCIS staff names, and making generalised assumptions about their work behaviours.

This forum is monitored by lawyers, DHS, and USCIS from time to time according to several reports from other members here, who have had interviews where the IO has mentioned this site,...Just be careful.

I know this process can be frustrating

Ok what’s up with this NON Benefits Center...? When are they going to start processing cases???? I mean, they have to be constipated as hell... new cases going in and nothing coming out. Maybe we need to go there and have a riot, bring some signs, yell obscenities at the Aholes, get some press coverage... What’s it going to take????

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresK1 denied at Consulate want to do K3 now is this possible??
It is much better to fight it while it is still at the consulate. See this article: http://www.ilw.com/a...0323-ellis.shtm

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNO touches and NO approvals for the week of Dec. 15th
QUOTE (notime4haterz @ Dec 16 2008, 05:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I have a question. I should know better, but can someone clarify?
If we get approved for both K-3 and I-130 (which is what is happening lately)...
If we go with the I-130, we basically send all that stuff to NVC to process, etc.
If we go for the K-3 then do we still send all that stuff? Or can we wait and send it all when he gets here? I don't care about extra expenses or his employment authorization. I only care about getting him here asap. So in the final stages, is the K-3 faster? Or doesn't matter once both petitions are approved?

Hi Everyone

I remember when I was waiting. Took 5 months to get the I129 approved and I thought I was home free, took another 5 months at the consulate sad.gif I called Senators and the Ombudsman also. Made me feel better but I don’t think it did any good smile.gif. I feel for you and Wishing Godspeed to everyone! On the K3 you basically process all the paperwork at the Consulate by means of packet 3 and packet 4, get the medical and pay the visa fee. When the spouse comes they are in status for 2 years from the I94 date. They can travel but must get the EAD to work or get a SS card, etc. On the CR1 you process all the paperwork at NVC and all they need at the interview is the medical. When they come they get a 2 year green card so they can work, get the SS card immediately, etc. The CR1 is cheaper in the long run and, in my opinion, somewhat more scrutinized at the consulate interview. Keep the faith and best wishes to all
