IMBRA Special TopicsFiling Limitation Wavier...HELP
QUOTE (Steve @ Jan 10 2008, 08:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I'm sure other can give you more detailed information, but from reading your post I would suggest that you contact VSC and send them copies of the correspondence from the time you canceled the last petition. Mayb they can still reverse it. If not, I would either send the petition in again along with the said correspondence or contact a lawyer (i know...).

I'm not sure what kind of problems you had with the paperwork when sent in the petition the first time and I'm not sure if you want to disclose it, but this might help others to give you more detailed advice.

Good luck!!

Her x husband committed bigamy 8 yeas ago and she considered the marriage invalid ..turth i thought also
when we filed the I-129F and checked for CENMOR it showed she was really married ...still
so we canceled the I-129F and she filed for divorce when completed we refiled our I-129F again

IMBRA Special TopicsLead time for approval for IMBRA
On January I received a letter for IMBRA since I filed twice within a year I received it on the 10th and responded on the 16th
I have checked USCIS web site and it states
Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

I have been touched several times how long does it take before approval
waiting for NOA2

QUOTE (thorhammer @ Feb 1 2008, 02:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Can anyone tell me how long it took them to have their IMBRA waiver/NOA2 approved? Did you receive
an IMBRA approval before you got the NOA2, or just received NOA2 approval?

I am just not sure if it takes longer, I had provided all the necessary documents as suggested, i.e. prove that
the first K1 VISA within the last two years did not work out.

Also, anyone with a recent approval or approvals if your NOA1 was from the September/October 2007 timeframe.

THANKS

10/22/07 NOA1 received
10/25/07 Last time case was "touched"

Been there done that
It took a little over week to complete the letter , send it and hold your breath if everything was ok
only letter was the NOA2 letter that was a big relief

Well wat the heck is FPU .. Does it takes longer then normal AP ??
Anybody went under this?? Well now i can see no hopes now.. Seems like its finished now...
Help me lord

I believe this is normal my wife had to do this in Hong Kong while we were waiting for an interview and she was a Filipino working there
It took additional time like 2 weeks before we would receive a interview date

We had to deposit 650 Philippines Peso in a Hong Kong bank and notify the American Consulate of the deposit
what they exactly did i don't know

We had the same concerns but we were not hiding anything and going by the book so nothing to worry

A reletive or friend in the philippines needs to pay 650 pesos to DELBROS from any METRO Bank in the Philippines that was the instructions. I don't think you can do it in Hong Kong's Metro Bank. This is the form they use to verify everything of your fiancé and history. This form will be used during the administrative review at the embassy to verify your fiancé's info.

Your fiance should follow the instructions very carefully. this is a very important requirement in the process.

Something is missing here. Reading between the lines, I take it you're talking about the Hong Kong resident needing a police report from the PI because they lived there long enough to require one. That's the only connection I can see between a visa issued in HK and needing to pay money in the PI.

Please fill in the blanks.

We already have a NBI from the Philippines so why the redundancy for a personal check
and who is doing the back ground check ???

Ok, so evidently this is connected to gathering background information in the PI. I don't think anybody is going to tell you why, at this stage. You'll just have to comply with their request, in order for the process to continue.

For some reason, they intend to further investigate, and need this form to do so. Since this is a really a PI issue, not a Hong Kong issue, it's possible somebody in the PI regional forum has some direct knowledge of the form.

I finally seen the form
Is there reason why they need to know last live boyfriend, brother and sisters children names, isn't this just a little to personal

does it need to be returned with packet 3?

What is form about ?

I have no specific Hong Kong knowledge but your should have received an instruction packet indicating what to return. What does a careful and meticulous reading of the instructions tell you about this form?
Funny you should ask I emailed them and requested a copy and answer a few question they never responded to my email but they called my fiancé in Hong Kong telling her that I have nothing to do with it and just follow the instructions on the form
one questions to them is why do i have to deposit the money in the Philippines that there is a branch of Metro Bank in Hong Kong and what is this form about is it a back ground check from what that was read to me it a deep back check to the day we was born and who is performing the check ?
So i never saw the form but will receive a scanned copy tomorrow

A US telephone number for the Hong Kong Consulate? I doubt it. Does your fiance not speak Cantonese?

You might try emailing the Consulate about your dilema or simply make an international call.

The phone prompts was in English but they spoke real fast and of course typical government lingo
Consulate there usually respond in signature email no help at all ..so last option is for me to call

National Visa Center (Dept of State)HELP WITH DS-3032 AND AOS fee

tomcat,
the ds-3032 allows you to designate who you will like to receive the information. Most people choose the US resident as mail is more reliable. so fill it out if you are the US resident and let the beneficiary sign and then mail it to the NVC. i believe you can also scan and email the ds-3032 if you choose.

the AOS fees can be pon lineline. checkout the guides section for NVC and the instructions are clear. hope this helps.

Thanks for the info

AOS fee can be paid on line at $88.00 that is convenient
But my understanding now that the DS-3032 has to be filled by the beneficiary and can be faxed back .
If sent it would be months if it was coming from the Philippines

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionVietnam and Ukrainian Police Certs

Hello,

My question is this. My Fiancee is a Ukrainian citizen. About a year and a half ago she moved to Vietnam. She lived in Hanoi for about 9 months and Ho Chi Minh City for 9 months. Does she need a police certificate from both cities? Also she lived in Odessa for most of her life, but now lives in Bilgorod-Dnistrovskyi now. Does she need a certificate from both cities or just from Odessa Oblast? To be honest, my main worry for her is Vietnam since she is not living there any more. But help on both locations will be helpful.

Thanks
Steve

Yes she will a police background check from both places
my wife is a filipina she worked both in Singapore and Hong Kong so we had to get all 3 police certificates not really a big problem .

US Citizenship General Discussionhusband said "its not necessary to be a citizen"

Financial and personal independence need to come before bringing children to the US.

1. OP needs a source of money (e.g., job).

2. OP wants to file for citizenship.

3. OP does not need spouse to file for citizenship if she's been here for 5 years. If for 3, while married, it may be tougher.

OP does need to meet min means of support

Citizenship is not required but must meet have permanent resident status

if children from previous relationship you still must a letter from the father to bring them here , but if unknown whereabouts you still have to post in local paper

if anybody has seen him , if no response your free and clear to bring them seems difficult but isn't

US Citizenship General Discussionhusband said "its not necessary to be a citizen"

note: my grammar is terrible.i barely talk with people.so my English skills level is low

i was qualified to file last oct 2012.so I ask husband today if he already file my documents.he told me that's its not necessary to be a citizen . .when I show him a link about citizen vs  greencard holder he just told me its ridiculous..i don't know what to tell him, .some people told me that easier to apply a job when u are citizen. i cant even find a job, so difficult for me to go around.i don't have car to drive. He don't want me to drive too, i might get an accident. and my transportation is bus .and in my area only one bus goes here every hour and only for certain area..ilove him soo much,.im happy being married.it just feels odd that he don't really care my citizenship.other husband here in visa journey so excited for their wife to be a citizen..did i just over think these things? can i file it alone ? i don't have income..

i miss my 2 children too.im a 10 year greencard holder.is it possible to petition my own children without my husband ?

do i need my husbands permission or sort of paper works to petition my children ?what should i do?

I believe becoming a citizen is not my wife top priority ,being a citizen is will not change your life here in America getting a job or a better job is based on skills not citizenship I work with allot on engineers that are from Korea ,japan,India all are green card holders , so it would be best for you to attend a class to put you in a better place. also best thing for you to apply for a car license that will make things easy for you .

My wife came form Philippines 5 years ago her English is ok also with cute accent,

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionsworn affidavits by U.S. citizen friends

That's pretty thin for evidence of two years of marriage. You want to show the commingling of your lives. Car insurance, lease/mortgage, memberships, mail addressed to the both of you, joint credit accounts, wills, health insurance, etc.

I see the point of this
Key thing she doesn't have drivers license so insurance and car is only in my name
lease has always been in my name when i did want to include her on the lease it would gone up 250.00 additional a month
health insurance , mine is job given hers state issued

only thing is checking account and it paperless statements so a voided check what we have
and recently trip to Philippines so itinerary and boarding pass with our names

so affidavits might be needed
