Mexico, Latin & South AmericaHotels near Bogota US Embassy

I forgot to mention....July is "high tourist season" in Colombia. Prepare for higher rates on airfare & accommodations.
Regards,

Hehehe...ya. I had already purchased tickets for my flights, which weren't too bad (f/Boston, a tad under $1000 including a stopover in Cartagena, where my fiancee lives). But yes, the hotel rates in Bogota were fairly high for the hotels you mentioned...$210+/night. But looking around, I did find one significantly cheaper that is also near the embassy...oddly enough, the Embassy Suites for about $140/night. It seems like a decent hotel as well, and got good traveler reviews. Will pass on a review upon my return.

Anyone have any good suggestions for hotels near Bogota US Embassy? I would prefer one with high speed Internet.

Our K1 interview is on July 12th. Whoa!

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaK1 Interview / Bogota: Hints, tips, process?
My fiancee has her interview scheduled for July 12 in Bogota. We're of course both anxious and nervous as the date approaches. A few questions...

How many pictures woudl be reasonable to bring of my fiancee and I together?

What other evidence will be considered important?

Any gotchyas/potential snags to be aware of ahead of time?

If she gets approved that day when can we expect to get the actual visa? The next day or do they send it by courrier?
