US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	How to handle Packet 3	Hi Bill, I've been actively involved in another website similary to visajourney.com, only it's in Thai. From there, I was told that the medical record is good for only 1 year. This record must be presented in AOS cycle too. So medical exams should be done after your fiancee is informed about the interview date as it will be valid when she files for AOS (if it's not, she has to have medical exams done again which may cost a lot in USA.) After your fiancee receives packet 3, she has to return (this will be told in packet 3) - signed checklist - DS 230 part 1 - 2 immigrant visa style photos - Photocopy of passport photo page Your fiancee will be scheduled for an interview after the embassy receives those forms and stuff. On the interview date, your fiance must bring Set 1 (documents of your fiancee) 1. Passport with 1 immigrant visa style photo (write full name on the back of it) 2. DS 156 3. DS 156K 4. DS 157 5. Thai ID + 1 copy 6. house registration + 1 copy 7. birth certificate + 1 copy 8. name change certificate + 1 copy 9. divorce decree + 1 copy 10. police clearance certificate 11. medical record 12. reciept for 4000 baht visa fee no.5-9 --- no need to translate -- Embassy also accepts original Thai version Set 2 (Affidavit of Support) 1. I-134 2. Actually, my A friend's fiance wrote an email to the Consulate explaining the reason why he and his fiancee would like to have a faster interview appointment. This was before my B friend sent back the documents. But there is no response and out of the blues, my B friend got an interview on Dec 20. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Could anyone tell me a reason?	This is not my case. It's about my friend, but I was wondering why. My A friend sent back the documents needed for making an interview appointment on Oct 26. A week later, she was informed that her interview date is January 2 at 7.30am. Her NOA1 is dated on March 8, 2006 and NOA2 on Sep 25, 2006. My B friend sent back the documents on Nov 7. Today, she was informed that her interview date is Dec 20 at 7.00am. Her NOA1 is dated on June 9, 2006 and NOA2 on Sep 7, 2006. My A friend is supposed to have an interview before my B friend, is it correct? They both provided a reason for having an interview ASAP that they both planned to get married before the end of this year. But why my B friend got the interview date before my A friend????? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	16 days and haven't received NOA1.....questions!!	Did you use a money order or check? money order I'm aware that money order can't be traced or tracked.... I sent a money order also. And on the part of the money order you keep, there was a number to call. It was an automated line. I would enter the M.O. number and it would tell me if it was cashed or not. Call the customer service number on your reciept and try it. Wouldnt hurt. Meriem Thanks for your useful information! Everyone's case is just a little bit different, but I wouldn't start worrying yet. It's still early in the game. Good luck for a speedy approval thru Vermont. I am seeing that you send yours the same day I sent mine, and I only got the NOA1 two days ago, so I wouldn´t be too worried right now. My timeline states the 19th ´cus that´s the receipt number but you´re actually pretty much in the time range to get yours. You should be getting it tomorrow or Monday. Thanks. I just called the National Customer Service Center today and she told me to wait for 30+ days, then call her again if I haven't received anything. There's nothing she can do right now. Does anyone have a number to call and ask if VSC received my application? I'm afraid that my application might be lost somewhere on the way to Vermont, since it's not registered. Hi all, this is my first time posting a question here VSC received my RFE due to IMBRA on July 12 and nothing's happened since then. After 45 days (as the NVC recording says), my boyfriend called VSC representative yesterday asking about the case. She said that right now the person who is working on our case is contacting the "clerical department" and we would receive a written decision in 2-3 weeks. I've never heard this in K-1 threads before. Could someone explain to me what it is??? What does it have to do with K-1 visa? I get frustrated when I see people getting approved so fast from Vermont and I am waiting on California. I cant imagine what it must be like to be waiting since March on Vermont and see people getting approved in 2 weeks from that same service center!!! Wow! It's kinda killing me to see people getting approved in less than 2 weeks from that same service center. I once told my fiance to cancel this Apr petition and start the process over again with the new I-129F form, but he didn't agree. Too bad He has much more patience than I do. I've become an obssesive/compulsive USCIS online checker for almost 5 months now. It makes me feel more upset to see people get aprroved withing 12 days!!!!! Almost everytime I talk to my fiance on the phone, I start crying. I don't know why, but tears just come out. So I'd like to know if I still have friends who filed with VSC since March or April and their cases haven't been approved yet, because as I have seen from timeline search in VJ, there are no more March/April filers . K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	what if NOA2 got lost	Sorry...I meant to type "NVC letter"....if I understand the process right, after approval, one will get NOA2, then a letter from NVC with a case number saying that the case is forwarded to beneficiary's consulate. Is that right? What if I didn't receive the NVC letter...? Who can I call to ask about the number?
