RussAndRachel (btw who's speaking?), we feel a lot behind though it's been only two weeks since July people started to get approvals, it's actually a very short time. :x

It's not the fact we're "behind" that is the problem but more like the paranoia and everything that comes with it. If I knew when we'd get it I would be totally be fine. It's just we don't know if it's one day or a week or a month which is very hard to handle.

And yes we'll get there! Damnit ! wink.gif

I was looking at it more from the people that we talk with on this thread. There are many people that do not seem to be interested in speaking with us. sad.gif (kidding) So I was hoping to focus on the people that we have gotten to know here. smile.gif But yes we can definitely see easily on Igor's list. I called the NVC about 4 days after our approval date. Use the number 603-334-0700, wait a while and then select 5 which says speak to an operator or rep something like that. Gave them our EAC#####... number, they asked for the beneficiary name, dob, the petitioner name, dob. Then they give you a case number that will be used at the consultate. Ours began with LND because of the London Embassy. Also ask them when the package was shipped to your Embassy. Next can try to follow it on www.dhl.com.

Just on a side note: looks like our counterparts (July '09 CSCers) are starting to get their NOA2s as well. star_smile.gif

There is something inside of me that keeps thinking all remaining July '09ers at the VSC will be approved by the 17th of October. So looking forward to seeing approvals every day for the next 2 weeks. good.gif

I can't remember who commented on this before, but I too have been looking through some of the people still listed on the VSC Immigration Timeline from previous months (Dec, Jan, etc) and either 1) they haven't signed on in 4+ mths 2) they made comments that they weren't able to update their timeline and were approved many moons ago or 3) they are legit filers that are still waiting. Wish there was a way to do a major clean-up. Have a great weekend everyone.

Congrats. That is wonderful. Not sure if I told you guys that my mom is Polish and my dad is Czech and Slovakian (yep one of my grandparents is from each). But only my Polish grandfather was born there. But all the great grandparents were. My mom was able to speak a little Czech when we visited Prague. It has been exciting to see all the approved NOA2s from some newer July posters. For those of you that I have gotten to know over this 2 mth period, I am saying little prayers every day that all of you get yours. Even though we haven't met I still feel this connection to you all. I sometimes try to envision myself working at the VSC and going over to this pile of boxes and thinking hmmm which one should I choose. Oh this group of people that filed in July look nice, maybe I should work on this box now. I kind of want to take a field trip out there and see what it is like inside. Really...I do not have a lot of time on my hands with budget time at work but yet I find time to daydream about this kind of stuff. Hmm, I wonder what I did with this time before starting this whole immigration process and not having VJ? I just know it is so close for all. Can't wait for all of us to be with our loved one. When you go to the USCIS web page, you log in (customer, username and password) and it takes you to your petition - you will see the number and the last time it was updated. Good luck!

Average time between NOA2 and NVC receive is 7 days. Considering the NOA2 date was a Friday i guess it's not too far out of that range. I'll just keep checking over the next couple of days and hope!

Have you gone to the United Kingdom and posted to the area for people after the NOA2 to ask them if anyone has suggestions? I would have thought the NVC would have at least said oh it is in AP or something. Someone there may be able to help.

Getting an RFE means they're processing your petition, it's a good sign.

RFE could be about a missing signature, birth certificate format, etc...
Hmm, huge amount of photos isn't so good, it's 5 pictures max. You know sometimes too much info kill the info.

I was pretty sensible about the photos printing 6 pages of 4 color photos per page with labels on the back, so I don't think it would be too onerous to check. I also was thinking that the RFE was a good sign as they are working on it, but have some envy for those who got approved. It could be a complexity thing also - I am an ex Brit who naturalized as an American and she is a Venezuelan citizen with Green Card status in Canada - perhaps they want something different. I will bite my fingernails for a few days more until the snail mail arrives and will keep the board updated...


Basically I am a moron ! I must have hit spacebar twice on the I129F form Page 3 Part C Q2 and did not answer the question of whether I had been convicted by a court of law of a variety of heinous crimes. For those interested, the answer was NO smile.gif

Hopefully after sending the blue RFE form back this morning, we should be joining you successful NOA2 folks very soon. Let that be a lesson to everyone - check, re-check and then check again !!!

You probably are already aware, but here is how to check the NVC....

When you get your NOA2 approval... call the NVC (I called after 4 days) using the number 603-334-0700, waited quite a while and then finally selected 5 which says speak to an operator or rep something like that. Gave them the EAC#####... number, they asked for beneficiary's name, dob, my name, dob and then told me the package is getting sent out today. Then they gave me my case number that will be used at the consultate (b/c we go through London it starts with LND). Have a great weekend. smile.gif

Congratulations you two also. Although happy for you, it was tempered by us getting an RFE dated 9/21. I guess that I will have to wait for snail mail to find out what they wanted as the online case does not give any details. I really hope that this does not send us back to the end of the line and I will be anxious to find out what is missing. Given that we have been dating for 4 years, have seen each other 27 times in that time, submitted huge amounts of photographic and other evidence (that I got a buddy who had gone through the process check), I really hope that is something minor and this is only just a short delay.

Congrats all you folks again - the good news is that they are looking at a bunch of July filers right now...

Someone whose NOA1 is 06/29 got his NOA2 this week. Crazyyyyyyness!

I'm super excited, I presented my telecommute part time project to my company, and my boss said he's all for it, as long as we can find a legal way.
We just need to get more info our accountant. But that would at least secure a little income during the waiting time before getting the work permit and the job hunting.
And be able to keep some french privileges like the 5 weeks vacation. tongue.gif

Good morning July '09 Filing family.

Every now and then I go to the USCIS website and look up our case status thinking that our file was randomly picked and there is a note saying an RFE is on the way or it has been approved but just the same NOA1 date. Not sure why I do it. The other part of my brain then says, seriously think December. But I think I like the drama - it is like a little game show. Still looks like VSC is plugging along and May & June still have lower volumes than previous months. All good stuff.

On another note, back from my trip and had a great time. Was thinking about all of you though and our exciting adventure together. smile.gif

Also how fortunate we all are to have found true love. 2010 is going to be a wonderful year for all of us. luv.gif

In previous trips, he was self employed and worked only a few hours a week so we had plenty of time together doing things... But this year, he's started a new job (for the puposes of meeting the poverty line) which has kept us apart for 40 hours a week over the three months. Public transport is few and far between here so I have been in the apartment for most of the time on my own and subsequently I have occassionally taken it out on Russ. I just feel bad now, because reading other peoples posts today on VJ, some people are not as lucky as us to spend as much time together. One couple hadnt even seen each other in 17 months. I dont know how I would get through that!

I'm just going to miss him so much and we won't be reunited until Christmas when he comes back to England. Any words of encouragement people...?? How do we get through this? unsure.gif


Well as everyone on this forum can confirm it is not easy to stay apart every single day. But I think the most important thing is to stay focused on your goal! I mean just imagine how happy you are going to be in several months and from there you will be together forever and ever.
Me and Sara see each other approx. every 6 months. Since I lefft US in March 2008 we have met 3 times (2-3 weeks most). The bright side of this horrible situation is that both of us are very busy right now at our jobs (she's a 3rd grade teacher and I work as a Logistics Anaylst). Also time zones do not help us out to talk to each other but we manage to find some time everyday.

I am not sure when I see her next time. We are thinking about Christmas but considering the flight prices we better save up money for the wedding which is planned for June 20th.
This means we get together after NOA2 and Embassy processes (April-May of next year). Sucks but We are see the Goal!!!
I think you are going to be OK if you won't see your fiance just for few months. It's only 3 months! Stay positive and think about this time you are going to spend together again.

They don't say it's ridiculous Victoria. It's just a big risk to take. At each step, USCIS, NVC or at the ambassy, you can be put into Additionnal Processing, each AP can last up to 6 months.
It seems to be very common to be put into AP at NVC.

The risk is that you could get very disappointed by the additionnal process time and on the top of that, you'd have to deal with the whole wedding cancellation and the money loss.
That would be hell, and some VJ members are actually dealing with that. They took that risk, their choice, but they shouldn't whine about it because that warning is stated a few times along the process.

My monkey and I have no real family. The wedding ceremony isn't important for us. So no date here.
I wish we could get at least a little romantic wedding though, but the travels and the visa fees have sucked us completly dry.
I'll feel lucky if we can pay the AOS fee without worrying. So it will be a court wedding. Anyway here in France, you have no other choice but to marry at the city hall so...
It will look "normal" to me. smile.gif

Yeah that's true. They're getting through around 6-8 applications per day lately from what i see on the list. So if we're ranked 340 divide it by 6...that's 56 more days and 114 days total for our approval.... huh.gif maybe wishful thinking...but whatever! star_smile.gif


I think you guys are definitely on the right track. It may take some time for more people to find VJ and set up a profile and timeline but still think there is a natural trend downward. March seemed large but April is still down from there and so forth. I am going to continue thinking positive. kicking.gif

Ah, figured it out. The first one has I-129Fs still in the process that were sent in Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb. The second starts their count at the ones which were sent in March. About a 100 person difference. I kind of like the visual of the first one so that is what I tend to use.
