Hi everyone,
We have submitted (i864 and DS230)and paid the IV fees online. The NVC received the DS230 along with supporting civil documents on the 04-04-2013.
Just how long does it take for the case to complete on their end?

We're almost there but it has been such a stretch of way and seems like a few more months to go feels like FOREVER!!!!

Got Package from NVC

Thanks guys One more thing i want to ask which is What kind of Forms the beneficiary has to sign beside DS-230 and mail it to me ? I am asking because FEDEX charge good amount $$$ so i want him to sign all papers and send to me so i can send step by step to the NVC .

The DS230 has four pages, first two being Part I, which you sign (as posted earlier by other members). That is the only form required but you will need to submit civil documents such as birth certificate, marriage certificate, police (and or military) report(s), 2 passport size photos, copy biodata page of the beneficiary's valid passport.

Pls check for possible more country specific documents!

That's good to hear. I didnt receive my DS-3032 either but was emailed to my hubby, which he forwarded to me. I read and read for possibilities of me emailing the DS-3032 (even though I read it here that you can email it) but there were none.
So I posted it back along with the barcode to the NVC via snail mail because I didn't want risk anything to go wrong.
They received it just about the same time hubby submitted his I-864 which was just perfect timing! THEN after few days, they will bill you the IV fees.

GOOD LUCK...

Aaah... I got the DS3032 via snail mail today. Can you imagine! Good thing they sent hubby an electronic copy! Or we would have waited so long!

Suggestion Q10,11 -you can fill in the address at your husband's grandmother, if you do not have your new home's address yet. This way, your documents can arrive safely at a proper address. Once you get the address, changes can be made later.

Q22,27 -Fill in father's and mother's address as much as you can with thte space provided or you may use (as above)

Q31a, b -You are right. NONE or N/A will do.

4. You may send if you wish but I personally do not think it is necessary. It seems that they only asked for professional associations to which you belong -naming the associations will do.

5. Capital letters not necessary.

A lady from NVC said that Police Certificate is not required for NVC for Mumbai Consulate, you can directly take it to the Visa Interview.

Well, ok. You need to tell us details and information like that ...so others can advise accordingly. Just making sure.

Don't forget, of course, your DS-230 Part I (signed) and Part II (unsigned) -ensure that your residency records are in order starting from the age of 16. Go through the DS-230 again, preferably with someone so that you don't miss out details required.

What does Case number mean?

USCIS Receipt number and case number are two different numbers. Case number comes after your approval and case passed on to NVC.

The info you posted is number after you pay USCIS...but NVC assigns you a case number when they receive your case upon approval by USCIS. This is the number you use there after.

Police reports for countries you live in for longer than 6 or 12 months?

So as long as I have stayed over 6 months, I need a Police Report?

I was a student over a period of 4 years, approximately 20 years ago. However, on each entry, it was only for 9 months as I left for home every summer holiday during the 4 year period. I did not find any information regarding this.

Anyone can shed a light on this?

Who sets up the Medical exam for interview????

Once your approved the embassy sets up the medical? or do we ourselves? I know they will be needed at the interview..I was actually pretty good at sending my 129F package off, but after NOA2 comes, I'm lost please help....

Beneficiary sets the medical exam.

Depending on which location you're at, there is only one in KL, one in Penang and one in Kuching.

You need an interview date before you can schedule one.

You should get it pretty soon. Mine arrived at our US address within 14 days of receiving the confirmation email from ACPO (I paid for premium delivery). In any case, the UK police certificate gets processed a lot faster than the Malaysia police certificate!

Here's an update of what I have. A day after receiving an email notification from ACRO, I received a Citysprint collection confirmation email shortly after the booking confirmation email.

So I figured, it should be making its way to the States right now. I'm guessing by end of week or early next week it should reach my hubby. He will then make a copy to keep and send it to the NVC from there.

Hi, anyone knows if we can check status of the report/certificate once we receive the email notification upon the receipt of our application?

Incidentally, also need to know if they would provide a tracking number once the certificate leave the UK for international delivery.

Hi Kwan. I'm afraid I cannot understand what you're asking but I am guessing that you are applying for the K1? Go to specific threads and they may be able to assist you further there. I have no knowledge with the K1 application.

AND pls do fill in your timeline and other details before you ask questions on the thread. People who can help you will be able to clear your doubts more effectively if they know what you're applying for and where you are at the moment.

Kwan, you do not go to the police department to get the Certificate of Good Conduct. I believe you have a link posted by Love1 just a few posts above this and it is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Putrajaya.
Please fill in the form and submit online with the link above and print out two copies. You will need Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome to acess the site.

Once the form/application is submitted online, you will receive an email, confirming your application. You will be given 2 weeks to submit your relevant supporting documents at their office in Putrajaya.

I am assuming this is for a Malaysian citizen so the documents are as follows:

Two (2) copies of the duly completed application form for the Certificate of Good Conduct

Two (2) certified copies of identification card

Two (2) certified copies of passport namely pages that contain details and signature of the applicant; and

Two (2) recent passport-sized photographs.

Hope this helps. You may apply for this earlier since it takes 1-2 months to process. Processing fee is RM20. If you are unable to self collect the report, you may submit a self-address and stamped envelope too. I chose to self collect as it's safer and quicker than the snail mail!

Hello Malaysians!

So I (finally) have an interview date for a CR-1 spouse visa at the Kuala Lumpur embassy. Our Malaysia portal on Visajourney is very sparse and so I am wondering if anyone on here can provide their interview experience?

Also, are there any other Malaysians with scheduled interviews?

Yes, any input would be great. Reading all these sometimes can be nerve wrecking but most of the time it's comforting to know what others have been through and to be mentally prepared ourselves.
So you'll be going for the interview without the hubby huh? I read a number of cases where the beneficiary was accompanied by their spouses. I'm hoping we can arrange that he'll be here -just because of the wait on that day! It's because we have to come back for the actual interview after the morning appointment...(I know, I've been reading till my eyeballs pop -I am on two weeks break now but not really having a break but lots and lots of reading!)

The medical exam was fine, really straightforward. They gave me two vaccinations on the spot but that really depends on whether you need it or not. Let the doctor go through the list which is required by the US embassy (he will know what to do and what vaccinations you need).

They also took some blood for testing, and a chest xray. Very straightforward, don't worry!

good news my wife n two step daughters had their ds 3032's added to their cases today and the visa center also told me they would now generate and send me the IV bill within the next seven days all very good news also have their ds-230's already signed and filled with all the documents that are nesscary!!! just wanted to ask anyone who might have a good educated guess at least if we could possably see a case closed by the end of this month? thk you very much

Anything is possible!!! I feel positive vibes but as we all know each case is unique and it all depends on factors beyond our control.

I have read about some where they waited two months before case is completed. We're all on the same boat....hopeful!!! My unbiased, educated guess to this a possible of end April or early May! AT LEAST WE CAN ALL HOPE!!!!

Besides the DS-3032, the i-864 is also required before they can generate the IV bill.
