Russia, Ukraine and BelarusLooking for approved AOS applicants from Russia
We think that there is a strong chance that we will get a CSC transfer...we seem to fit the criteria. So, we may not be waiting months for an interview. But I guess we could be waiting months for the name check once it gets to the CSC.

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusLooking for approved AOS applicants from Russia
Hello all,
I have heard that the FBI name checks for AOS applicants from Russia seem to take a long time. Can some of those who have been approved share their experiences? We are currently in the midst of the AOS process. Thanks!

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusK-1 Visa Approved! Moscow
Many congratulations! I remember how overjoyed we were when my husband got his visa. Enjoy your hiatus from immigration matters until time for adjustment of status.

Russia, Ukraine and Belarustravel to russia, what can be easier if you don't want any problems

The answer to your question is YES. They can get you and send you to serve in the military. I don't think it matters if you're a US permanent resident or citizen.

Hi Jewel--

Just wondering how you acquired this information. From the consulate?

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusK-1 Visa approved in Moscow on St. Valentine's Day
Congrats! We also had a lawyer for the K1 process but not for AOS. Our AOS went fine, without any requests for additional evidence (our interview will be in April). Having a lawyer in the K1 process mostly provided us with a great big piece of mind that my husband would be able to come to the U.S. But as a piece of advice, if you follow the VJ guides for AOS exactly, you won't need a lawyer.

Milenka, I am the wife of the Russian guy that Slim mentioned....Boris. Just send him a PM asking what you want to know. He'll be happy to tell you about his interview experience. He has a recent thread in this forum so you should be able to find him easily.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionApplied for I 751, moved to NY after first greencard
Thanks for the responses. I called USCIS and they told me that actually all notices will be sent to the address given in the I-751 package, NOT our old address, thank God! I had changed our address with USCIS online right before I called them anyway so all is well! The woman I spoke to didn't say anything about any penalties and didn't even make it seem like a big deal. In any event, they have our correct address now.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionApplied for I 751, moved to NY after first greencard
Hello all,

My husband and I just applied for the I-751 at the VSC. The package was sent 4/02, received 4/06. No checks cashed or notices at this time. I'm just wondering: we moved from Virginia to New York in Oct. of 07 after he received his first greencard. We didn't file any sort of change of address with USCIS but we did with the postal service and all of our I-751 paperwork reflects our current address. Will this present any sort of issue in terms of our receiving notices?
