K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	RFE	Sorry for the RFE. The flight itinerary really wouldnt be any good by itself due to the fact it doesnt really prove you were on the flight. You need your boarding pass receipts to go along with it. Copies of you entry stamps on your passport, with the dates visible are good. I sent a money order also. And on the part of the money order you keep, there was a number to call. It was an automated line. I would enter the M.O. number and it would tell me if it was cashed or not. Call the customer service number on your reciept and try it. Wouldnt hurt. Same thing was said every day, "We haven't sent it yet" Then today I got the letter from NVC informing me they are sending the petition to Algiers. Another step closer!!! I brought all my statements for the previous year, so it would be easy for them to add it up. Took five minutes and she did not charge me anything to do it. Between these mood swings, a person with Bipolar disorder can have totally normal moods. It is controlled by medication. It is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. A person with Bipolar disorder can live a totally normal life if they are taking their meds as prescribed. They do not tend to be a threat to others but some have tendencies to hurt themself. I am talking about suicide attempts. Again, if she is faithfully taking her meds it should not be a problem. Get all the documentation from her regular doctors to show the Dr. at her visa medical exam and to the embassy. If the doctors agree that she is not a threat to others and herself and faithfully takes her meds. then I hope you would not have any trouble getting your visa. My k-1 was approved on April 13th from CSC, and l called NVC on April 28th and also received an email reply that they had received my petition. On May 5th I received a letter dated May 1st from NVC stating, "Dear Petitioner, The State Department's National visa center has recenlty received an approved I-129F petition filed on the behalf of your fiance. This letter is to let you know that within a week the petition will be forwarded to the appropriate visa issuing post where your visa interview will take place." I called today, and they still have not sent it. I dont understand why it is still at NVC. Meriem What the hell?! Probably mine is there at NVC yet as well... I mean.... "Probably mine is there at NVC still as well..." Have you tried to call them? If you do let me know what they tell you. They told me today, Even though I received the letter last week, they are not done processing it. That normally it takes 2-4 weeks processing at NVC. I kept referring to the letter I received and she said, "You will receive a second letter once they are finished processing it. Just makes no sense. USCIS doesn't care if you met online or in-person.. the important thing is that you've met the person within the past 2 years. Dont think that this statement is right...? the USCIS does indeed care that you have met in-person if you are applying for K-1. Isnt it true that we many of us have met our loved ones.. "on-line" That is not qulifiable for the meeting within 2 years requirement of applying for k-1. It is my ASSUMPTION THAT it MUST be a PHYSICAL in person MEETING to qualify to apply for K-1. There have been too many rejections of persons not having enough proof of having met... or persons filing before the actual in-person meeting.. ... . look at the flow chart for k-1.... "4. Declaration of how you met in person in the last two years. This should be a single typed page regarding question 18 of the I-129F. Make sure to sign and date it. It most certainly is right. The USCIS does not care how you meet initially. You could have met on the internet or at a bar. It does not matter to them. It matters that you meet face to face within the past 2 years. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	what can i do?? 17 days since NOA2 and nothing!!	I just wanted to tell your our experience since NOA2. Approved on April 13th and It was received at NVC on April 28th. I got a letter from NVC on May 5th dated May 1st that they had received my petition and with in the week they would be forwarding it to the Embassy. After one week I began calling to make sure. Everyday I would call. Every day they would say, it is not sent yet. I kept referring to the letter. They kept saying processing is not done yet. One women at NVC last week told me it is in Administrative Processing. That scared me to death. I called back about an hour later to verify what she said. And the person I talked to said it is normal processing. I called this past monday and the women assured me. She said " please dont worry, It is ok. Nothing is wrong." She was very reassuring and I felt much better. I called Tuesday around 5pm and a man told the the magic word. IT WAS SENT TODAY!!!! Thank God! So some are taking longer than others, go figure! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Petition Status At NVC? How to check?	Hi Larry I just did the follow up on the notice I have received from the NVC. It stated " This notice is to let you know that your approval petition will be forwarded within one week" The notice date was May 15, and today is May 22. It is one week. On the positive side, the man from NVC told me that it will be forwarded soon. I just keep my fingers crossed. Billy I got the same letter from NVC, dated May 1st.
