USCIS Service CentersWaiting on NOA2 from VSC
Thanks for the reply.
I have created the online account and signed up for the mail and mobile alerts.
I check the site periodically I guess I am searching for a reason the last touch was Oct 3, 2010.

We are patiently waiting for NOA2. I have a service request assigned as of a few days ago so I hope with that they will find my file and knock the dust of and proceed.

Good luck one and all.

How Often does the USCIS Site update?
How often should I check it?
I am away from home so checking in is my only means of maintaining sanity.

Good Luck everyone.

USCIS Service CentersWaiting on NOA2 from VSC
A bit of News on my end...

As I mentioned in an earlier post we contacted the CSC number and spoke with a rep who informed me that VSC are currently processing August 21 Petitions and therefore you are not out of what we consider the actual time line for processing.
You need to call be after 24 more days and if your case has not processed by that time we can initiate a service request.

Well after more reading here, VJ and back at the USCIS site. I decided to call again today as every where I looked said I should at least get a service request since we are past the five month mark. I spoke to yet another different agent but this time she acknowledged I was outside the five month window and she processed a Service Request. Said I should hear back within 30 days. From other posts that I have seen the creation of a Service Request usually processes to a NOA2 before the last half of these 30 days is this true in your opinions.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionHow Long Manila Embassy might take to review submitted documents after Interview
I appreciate the replies. I hope this is all they need. I just do not see why it matters if she was married in between this document and now but we did not fuss we just did what we could.

I have been painting around the house hanging a porch swing and working on the electrical projects.

We have a dual wedding planned with my sister on August 13th and I have split the costs with my sister. If Rina is unable to make it I will be out even more money which would really suck.

Thanks again Good luck everyone.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionHow Long Manila Embassy might take to review submitted documents after Interview
Hello All,

We had our interview on June 15th. We had to submit some more documents after this and we did so with a week.
Then on June 30 they reviewed the case again and mailed out a letter on July 6 saying they needed more clarification or more documents pertaining to a death certificate from her fist husband that died in 1993. Now she was married since and we had it annuled through the philipine Courts.. :bonk: :bonk:

She is still in Manila as she just finished getting a affidavit stating the difference in names is in deed the same person.

Is it possible to get an appointment and deliver the documents in person and close the case?

If she has to have the documents courier through 2GO how long will it take them to review the latest documents and decide on our case.

How soon if at all can we start calling the actual visa section and check on the case.

I would appreciate any input you guys may have.

Good Luck One and All.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionManila – Additional Requested Documents Received
Manila – Additional Requested Documents Received

Additional documents requested have been received back at visa section.
When I called them on Thursday I received the scripted answer.

Agent - Our notes indicate the consular officer has requested more documents.

Me – Documents send via 2GO in manila on July 17.

Agent – We have not received the documents yet.

Me – The documents were signed for on July 18th by ****

Agent – Ok I see where the documents have been received and have been forwarded to the Consular officer for review.

Me – May I ask how long the review will take?
Agent - We can not determine the length of time it will take to review your case. It depends on the amount of cases being reviewed.

Separate note.

Back on July 12th we found out via phone that additional documents were needed. They said they had mailed her a letter on July 6th but as of today the 23rd. This letter has still not been received. I am so glad we went ahead and went to Manila without the letter and gathered the documents they said they needed.

We only had the hospital death certificate on the first husband and not the NSO as he was Italian citizen.
We did not have an NBI for her under the first married name.

These are the only additional documents they said they needed. So I can not see why this would take two weeks to review and approve or deny or ask something else stupid.

Then will they use 2GO or Air 21 to send the visa to the home address?

:help: :help: :help: :bonk:

PhilippinesMarriage Fraud, Divorce and a life on hold . . .
yea, just do the philippine annulment proceedings otherwise she will have troubles leaving PI.
mjaye65MalePhilippines2011-02-26 22:29:00
PhilippinesMarriage Fraud, Divorce and a life on hold . . .
Well I went through annulment with my Rina.
She had married a Filipino whom a year after their child was born went to another country to work.
Communication between them at first was good for a year of so then drifted to less and less.
As required he sent money to PI but after leaving PI he changed the routing of the money to an account for his mother and Rina would have to prove cause and need to get some. She is not a beggar so she pulled herself up by the boot straps and carried on. She had three sons from a previous marriage and they needed a strong mother. One of the sons from a previous marriage got sick and eventually died, but while he was deteriotaing in the hospital the husband never called and finally just before the son died he called only to he refuse to help as it was her son from a previous marriage not their son. Anyway he fell in love and remarried in that country and had a child there.

Neither pursued an annulment. She did not make enough and he could care less of course.
When I met her I wondered the same thing as you do. Why wait?

Well it can be a mess and we were scammed by a friend of a friend’s friend who was an attorney, 3K US out the window on the first trip around the merry go round.

Then we went through it again with the best attorney I had heard of and I saw the process and the statements required, wow.

We made it though and he never showed up because he was in the other country. Now once the annulment was over and word reached him he wanted to be a parent again, mmmm to late. His son is my son now. He calls only in November before Christmas to see if his son want to meet him in Manila course he does not but man is that day painful when the phone call comes. I told Rina that he will not call Dallas so just bare it out till we are in the states and all will be better then.
The last call in Nov 2010 my son told the father when he called that my dad is coming over from Dallas again to see me and therefore he could not go to manila to see anyone.

No tears this time which I think is a good sign he is letting go of the dead beat.

If the love is strong, the feelings true, If like me you can not imagine life without her.
Stand beside her and walk with her through the journey to Annulment and cherish the life for the two of you once you past this small hurdle.

PhilippinesMen Your Thoughts On Filipina
Hi There Everyone

Thom - My Rina is 5'0" and I am 6'2" so I can relate to the height difference. It would not matter what the height difference would be she is a great woman and I love her for all her traits. Unlike most I was able lucky to spend every other month with her while I was working in Korea. The only regret I have is not going in her place of work 6 month sooner as we were both there already. I was not looking for anything I was just there to work and go home. I like her beauty of course, but it is her attitude on life. Her devotion to her family and now ours, she places our family first above all. She is happy with what we have and takes great care of it. Yes she folds the clothes I just took off if I do not do so, but I am learning if it matters to her it matters to me. She does not stress out at the slightest change or problem that comes up. She will discuss everything with me and always supports my decisions and views as her own and I try and do the same for her. If she has an opinion she will speak it not scream it. We just past the two year mark back in November and the relationship seems to be the same as the first week. She has talked to my mom and my dad and this has calmed her fears of being accepted once she gets to Dallas. She chats with my sisters on facebook and text messages a lot. They love her almost as much as I do.

I keep telling her I am sorry I can not make things better for her in Iligan than we have already and she tells me each time she is happy with what we have done and she understands we have to dig out from the mess my x put me in. We will get there together and we will love forever. It is amazing how far she can make the money I send make it but I try to send what I can and she knows it.

My job has me gone a lot and around the world for weeks at a time and I have never heard a jealous comment or suggestion. This is way different than before with my American x. This is a big plus as well for jealousy never really goes away once the seed or thought is there.

I am playing the waiting game now trying to get through the USCIS process currently awaiting NOA2.

I hope we are together in Dallas by the summer.

Good Luck one and All.

Mike

PhilippinesFilipina wife issues....advice please...
Hello All,
My lady's extended family has never been an issue. One pair / couple as friends has been a few times. Last year I paid a medical bill for their daughter, who was admitted to the hospital for asthma attack, I paid the hospital and took him to a local pharmacy to get the breathing treatment she needed. Three days later they came and asked for rent money which I refused I said I helped the daughter for an immediate need.

Then back in December the day after we went to dinner together he text my lady and asked that I pay the other half of a agency fee so his wife could go overseas. She just wrote back a single word no.

She could of kept it a secret but she told me the question and the answer.

I have helped the mother over the past year but she has never asked we just gave what we could from time to time

PhilippinesNBI clearance
get it now.

My Rina did not get one under her first husbands name since she never used the name anywhere. he died so we did not get much of the documentyation we should have and so far it has delayed things 4 weeks on July 15th.

Take a serious look at all your documents that you have or may need. We listened to others and came up short.

The interview was short and sweet and was not an issue until the married name was there and not the NBI showing she had one under that name.

PhilippinesOk, I'm more nervous than she is ;)
We were all nervous TOO. My Lady arrived here on August 7 - Houston Texas. she was stuck in Immigration for over 2 hours I guess because of three kids, but seeing her come out was worth the wait.
She has made some minor changes around the house but not in the color Scheme.

We are so happy to be together once more and not have to wait months between visits.

Well worth all it took to get this far.

PhilippinesHOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE THE VISA FROM US EMBASSY-MANILA?
There is a link I saw to check / track your passport while in the embassy but it does not work at all I have tried every day for a week.

I called today and they said the visa section just received the documents we sent on Monday. she said they were in the mail room until now. She said for me to call back in 2 weeks and check in. I let her know I would be calling every few days as I have nothing but issues with this whole process and I do not need to find out on Day 14 that there was an issue on day 2.

Any ideas how long it will take the case worker to get back on our case and finish I mean it was just a NSO death certificate holding it up we had the hospital version.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsOctober Filers
Good Luck to October filers.
It seems that California is processing faster than Vermont.
Our NOA1 was Sept and touched in October but no word since.
I just called last week and tried to make a service request but was informed that they still have August petitions in process and I need to wait another 30 days before an offical service request can be made.

Supposedly after we all get past the NOA2 the rest of the process is more dependable and predictable.

Anyone know if it will take another 5 months to get an interview for Philippines filers?

Good Luck to us All.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsANY GOOD NEWS FOR OCTOBER FILERS (VSC)?
Keep calling, I received the same answer until I reached someone that really seemed to care. Once you are outside the five months you deserve a service request.
I only told them the total days like 5 months and 15 days so I am outside the window.
On the third call that I made I talked to some one that said yes and entered the service request.

Each time you talk to them be sure to write down their id number and name make them repeat it until you have it right and read it back to them. They do not mind and it shows you know what the system better.

I never reached the tier two that I have read about but just called every day or every other day on the third call I was granted a service request.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsThe VSC will have some explaining to do on Monday
Morning All,

I called again to the USCIS yesterday and once again was told they were still processing applications for August 21.
I stated that I had a service request to look into and the agent said this was impossible as I still had 24 more days to wait before would could be issued. I quoted the agent name and agent number and she transferred me to the tier 2 immigration officer. Who stated the same thing as the first neither would take look into the service request and said call back after the 24 days.

This is such a merry go round of bullshit and lies it is ridiculously frustrating.

I heard this same date the first time I called around the 14th of February.
I know it may do little good to call and write and each time I do it seems to be just as frustrating as watching the web site update satying at October 3, 2010.

Yes I know we are mnot the only types being filed and yes I see others that have a longer wait. I see some that have a RFE or two on their file.

At this point an RFE would be an improvement

Has anyone been told this before?
The lady I spoke to said it is different from a service request (which I have to wait 17 more days to file another one) in that I am mailing it directly to the service center where my case is...

G639 is a Freedom of Information/Privacy Act Request and only allows you to access general information. Not sure this will help you may be jjust a way to get you off the phone.
