K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	New here	Hi everyone. I am new here, just thought I could get some help from people in the same situation. I am engaged to a sailor in the US Navy. He is in Virginia, I am in Canada. We met last summer and got engaged Nov. 29. I am a bit scared about this whole thing because when we came to Canada, we were going to get my stuff and return to the US but the Canadian side told us to go to the US border side to see if they still had my Alien number on file(I lived in the US for 14 years but was told to submit my green card the year before because it was outdated). I was told by a Customs official, after he threatened to throw me in jail and accused me of lying, that my only legal way to go about this is the K1 Visa. Now we have sent in our paperwork and we're waiting. The Vermont Service Center sent my fiance the new form last week so they can update our file. I am just scared that when I go for the interview, they might ask about the border thing or if I was ever denied access to the US. What do I say if they ask? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Officially 5 months	Sorry to hear about how long it is taking. It sure is a ridiculous amount of time to wait. I am also waiting in Canada.
