US Citizenship General DiscussionProcessing Times for Naturalization??
QUOTE (F1Belle @ May 26 2008, 06:15 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
It will be your local office to check the dates for. It appears that your office will be Atlanta...they have dates up.

Is that something that can be checked online? If so do you know where? Thanks.

US Citizenship General DiscussionProcessing Times for Naturalization??
Hello,

We sent in our N400 forms to TSC recently and received the NOA and fingerprint notification within 2 weeks (faster than I expected). The NOA states we should be contacted within 450 days.

I do not see any processing times for the N400 on the USCIS website. Are the Naturalization times published anywhere? Any clue on what sort of time we should expect to wait for the interview?

Thanks.

US Citizenship General DiscussionNaturalization Interview Appointment
Hello,

My wife finally received her letter for interview.

We noticed on the letter that one of the requirements for the interview is the original passport used to enter the US. The original passport had since expired and a new passport was obtained. Unfortunately she lost the replacement passport, but now has applied for a new one.

Will the old passport and application paperwork be enough to satisfy the requirement for the examiner?

Thanks,
William

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-797C NOA for I-751
That is a bit strange, why waste the time sending the "I-797C" out then if they follow up with the I-797 later. How often will a dependent travel on their own. Oh well, Who knows!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-797C NOA for I-751
Afew weeks back I sent in the I-751 paperwork for my wife and daughter. Noticed that the cashed the check and the copy had the SRC# (Texas service center). Shortly after that a NOA arrived for my wifes daughter stating "Verification of inclusion of a dependent".

The SRC# does not show up online on the USCIS website yet sand have not received the NOA for my wife after a week or so. Is this normal that they would send out a separate NOA for the dependent and separately? Look forward to any feedback.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionTravel outside of US if I751 not appoved in one year
The extension letter states that staus is extended for only a period of one year. My question was can you travel outside of the US after the one year extension period has expired?

Can you get another extension? Or do you just have to stay home and wait for the approval? Thanks.

We filed our petition to TSC Jan 07 (NOA feb 22 07). Some time ago it was transfered to VSC. Yesterday we received a RFE from VSC.

It was a bit of a shock a I thought I had all the possible information that I could offer. Joint Car insurance, compoany Health insurance, Joint Tax filing forms, Life insurance showing benificery, ect..

One thing I never did was put utility bills in both names, we also have separate bank accounts. I also did not include any refence letters thinking I hade enough documentation. How big of issues are these?

I will get several reference letters together, but any thoughts on what I can offer in addition at Ihis time? Thanks.

William

They might have lost some contents of your file at TSC, VSC or somewhere in between during the transfer. So, I would say resend EVERYTHING you sent in the first time in addition to the ones you just mentioned above and any document specifically referenced in the RFE you recieved. Furthermore, be sure to include your tax filings for tax years ending 2006 and 2007 as well since those are not in your file. Good luck!

I would agree that they probably lost items in the transfer, and will resend everything. The RFE letter strangely threatens that you should not send documents previously summitted.

We did initially send tax returns for 3 years. The RFE letter states that they tax returns must be issued by the federal or state authority. I wonder how realistic that is, especially that you only have a month to reply. Now days most people file electronically.

Thanks,
William

Did you include any evidence of living together: joint home ownership, both names on a lease, etc?

How about joint property ownership? Joint accounts (credit cards, bank loans for a car, etc.)?

They often want proof of co-mingled lives for the whole length of your married lives--make sure that you don't just include the most recent bills/statements.

Be sure that any reference letters that you pull together are Affadavits (see example on this site).

Did you receive the RFE letter from VSC yet, or did you just receive an e-mail stating that you would be receiving an RFE? Usually on the letter they will tell you what kind of information they want from you. I think it will often state NOT to send in copies you have already sent unless they request them.

Good luck!

I did include a copy of the property deed that shows joint ownership of the home.

This was a blue form letter that just sated that they meeded further information but did not detail what they wanted to see inparticular. Just a long list of items.

Thanks for the feedback.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionNo Action after RFE
Hello,

Our petition was filed in Feb 2007 to TSC and transfered to VSC, almost two months ago we received a RFE from VSC. We promptly responded with the further ducumentation.

The RFE form stated action would be taken within 2 weeks of receipt. We sent the packet with delivery confirmation and it was recieved at VSC, but nothing from from them since. Any thoughts?

Since then we have filed the N400 so I suppose it is a moot point anyway.

Thanks & Regards,
William
