IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports25 year age difference....Older women marrying younger men
My fiancée is nine years older than me, but we have yet to receive our NOA2. We will be going through the embassy in Lima and hopefully our age difference is no problem.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsStarting to worry! Dec1 NOA1... Not touched since Dec4??

I am curious where people see "touches". I go and check my status on the USCIS.gov site, but if there is another place to check I would love to know.

Thanks
Chris

Hi,

I had the same question about the touches. If you click on check your status where you enter your case number, on the left you will see that you can create and log into an account with USCIS. That is where you will see the last date updated, considered a "touch."

Hi all,

I just received a txt from USCIS which made me think our case had been adjudicated, but upon checking the USCIS website, the status has moved from Initial Review, where it has been since NOA1 date, back to Acceptance. It also says that on March 25 a duplicate notice was mailed to me regarding my case. Is this a bad sign?

Thanks for any comments and suggestions,

Carmen and Jhon

Hi all,

This is my first post in this forum. I received my NOA1 on the 22 of Dec. and had a touch recently on the 17th of this month. I thought it would be just a couple of days after the touch to get approved but still no word from USCIS. Any advice?

Thanks,

Jhon

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion regarding student employment and affidavit of support
Hello everyone,

This is my dilemma. I am sure this has a very simple answer but it is kind of making we wonder on the best way to answer. I have been looking at the I-134 Affidavit of Support and on line 7 there is the following fill in the blank statement: I am employed as or engaged in the business of ___________________ (Type of Business) with ______________ (Name of Concern). Well, the situation is that I am a student at a state university. I do have a part time job on campus but of course it is not related to my future profession. I have already talked to a family member about being my co-sponsor, and he is more than willing. My question is whether I should put "Student" as (Type of Business) and "Name of the University that I attend" as (Name of Concern) or should I put the name of the company where I work part time on campus. This has puzzled me because right below that it talks about the amount that I derive from my employment yearly. I will go ahead and mention that on the G-325 I did list the part time job that I have on campus.

One more question I have is regarding whether or not I should send an official copy of my college transcript so that the consular official can see that I will not always hold a menial job and have such low income.

Thanks in advance everyone,

Jhon
