There is no need for multiple trips. Just go to the local lawyer about a few days before the wedding. Its available in a day. Its just a simple letter stating that she is single and able to marry.

Thank you, we will consider it, but just in case do you know a place there where she can get it.

Hey Juan,

I got married in Dominican Republic also. I got my "Carta de Solteria" through a local lawyer in the Dominican Republic. I found it was easier to get it there, then here, in the states. I also suggest you speak directly with the person who will marry you and find out exactly what they require, because some want that paper, others don't.

Thank you jolusa, we will see what we can do because getting it here in the DR means that she would have to travel to here just for that.

CaribbeanQuestion about the I-864 form

She would name her Chidren on line 24B and the income for each child in the appropriate line to the right. If this income is not on her Tax forms, I'm not sure I would list it. Especially if she already meets the guidelines and is above the poverty level. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply.

Buena suerte.

As GodsGift225 said, you can pay the 15 dollars at any banco popular and and anytime you want now, he has to go to consultorio de visa in santo domingo for his medical.

Why is it 5 hours away where does he leave?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsThe TeamMcGregor Interview Account

I had to pick my results up because I waited for the bare minimum to get my medical done (like an idiot). If you get your medical done more than 6 business days (or something like that) before your interview your results are sent in. Otherwise you have to pick them up the day before.

oh ok, sorry about that part, i plan on going on the 29th :)

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresneed some help.

as long as you are doing it without a lawyer you will have to do a lot of research. so prepare yourself and put in the time to avoid problems.

read the guide suggested in the previous posts.

It is $420 when sending the I-130. You will also have to pay $88 for the affidavit of support and $230 for the IV later on.

thank you for your help. we need to start reading then

Your quote this am "
Good morning guys.

my fiancee & I are getting married soon and we want to start the process right after that, so we have a few question,
do we have to send any documents with the I-130, do we have to send any money with it?

thanks in advance"

One thing lead to the other.... That's why we provide you with the I-130 guide to read.... What you just mention above is the FEE for the VISA, the 420.00 is the fee for the petition itself. which you can find by going to USCIS.gov Please read thoroughly through the guides as this process can be confusing and overwhelming at the same time, any little error can get your petition reject if YOU don't send the correct fee amount and you will delay your process

Thanks for your help.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresneed some help.

Please take the time to read through the Guide http://www.visajourn...tent/i130guide1 Here all your question will be answer.... Reading all the instruction is very important so that you won't miss anything along the way.

But to simply answer your questions if YOU the PETITIONER is filing for an I-130 YES you must submitted a MONEY ORDER or CHECK in the amount of $420.00 US Dollars

YOU will also have to submit PROOF on a BONA FIDE MARRIAGE ie; Marriage Certificated, picture, joint bank accounts(if any) pictures etc.... Please make sure to read the guide so you can have a better understanding....

Good luck on your Journey

Hello.

Im kinda confuse now because you said the amount of money we have to send is 420 dollars, but i just read this in the embassy webpage.....The application fees to process the immigrant visa applications and fiancee visas, K visas, decreased worldwide. Effective Friday April 13, 2012 the fee to process the immigrant visa applications decreased from US$330 to US$230 and the fees for Fiancee visas (K) decreased from US$350 to US$240. The fiancee applications needs to pay, the day of the interview, the non-refundable fee of US$80 at window # 12 of the Consular Section.is that real?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedureswhat to send with the I-130

I received request for evidence for my mom's I-130, I sent them photos, western union receipts, beneficiary page from my retirement account showing her as my beneficiary and an INS document I found listing her as my mom. As you can see I didn't have much evidence we did not have baby pictures or anything but they accepted the little evidence I submitted. Good luck.

Thanks.

None is fine in those spaces.

We had filled out "NONE" even though my husband ended up visiting me again and he entered the US with me. Think it's more asking if anyone else will be immigrating with you.
