Even though the peition gets approved, NVC here approves the case, the consulate in Islamabad can still ask for more or do their own review. Its like a hit or miss kind of situation. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Medical Report & X-Ray-Pakistan	Hello !!!   I got my medical report and X-RAY and doctor told me that you have to bring this report to interview only and not X-RAY ..   X-RAY will show on the POE in USA  .....Is it true ??????   Please share your experience who have done their interview in Islamabad   I think so too because my parents got their medical done and it seems like their x-ray was given to them on a CD. So there is another sealed envelope and a vacciation card. I just made sure that after ots done I told my mom to ask one of the nurses if everything is ok or do we have to be concerned about anything. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	AP at Islamabad	The waiting part really sucks and yes the embassy in Islamabad is very unpredictasble. I herd some stories here on VJ where I felt like that it should have been a clean cut case but people have been on AP for months. I guess nobody knows why or for what reason a case goes on AP. If a person has provided everything and the case has been approved by NVC then its beyond my scope of understanding as to what makes the COs put a case on "further processing". Feel for for people and hope that every single case on AP gets to hear a good news soon.     I would , however, like to share one thing. I have applied for cases when I was going through for myself and now my parents so I am kind of familiar of how their though process is when they are looking into our paperwork. I for one have always send more documents then what they have asked for. Its better to send them more then to sit and aowt for them to issue some sort of RFE or at this stage to  put the case on AP. For my parents I have sent them copies of all previous passports and also things like copies of their NADRA ID card. Now NVC never asks for these things but I sent them anyways. I rmeebr at USCIS stage they wanted to see more proof that I am indeed their son so I had to send in my school documents, copies of my parents passports going back to 1990, atleast about 100 pictures. The point is that if you think that they may not require or have asked for any documents, just send it.    I have been going through this process for about 4-5 years now ... first my greencard then my citizenship and now my parents greencard and thats I all have been doing and it has worked for my so far.	livstrong	Male	Pakistan	2014-07-09 13:24:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - February 2014	I am getting confused with Part 3 question on i-864. I would appreciate if anyone can give me feed on this question. Before I begin, my household size includes me and my wife only and we both work. Now I applied for both my parents and both I-130 got approved and currently awaiting for NVC #s at the NVC phase. I am also aware that I would have to fie 2 separate I-864 (and I-864A) for each parent.   Under Part 3 (Information on the Principal Immigrant)   1. I am going to check this box as YES   2. Will I be checking this box? It says that do not include any relative listed on a separate visa petition but then instructions also mention about Spouse and/or Children so I feel like I should check this box and then mention my mother's (or my father depending on whose I-864 I am filling out). If I select this then I need to fill out 2(a,b ,c,d,e and f)   7 If I fill 2 then my I will have to out 2 as total number of immigrants.   Part5: Sponsor's Household Size   I think I should have 4 as total household size. 2 for me and my wife and 2 for my immigrating dad and mom.     I feel like these two questions are throwing me off because I am reading contradicting statements on different websites. If I dont mention the second intending immigrant in 2 then my household side will be 3 which I feel is incorrect.   Thanks in advance for any and all the help.   Just got off the phone with NVC. No case number yet. The person told me they have had 3 snow days and 2 federal holidays so I should have it by middle of next week. But I will try my luck again on Friday. Government, take my money!   Same here. Mine has been yellow since yesterday evening and today I got an email to pay but that yellow triangle is just pissing me off now. I was wondering can I send my 2012 tax info with the AOS package since its before April 15th and then give them the 2013 transcript at the interview? Or should I just wait until my 2013 taxes is completed then send the AOS package?   If you have already filed your 2013 tax returns then why not just send that. Thats what I did. Just send in the copies of your W2 and/or 1099. If you want to make sure your 2013 tax returns were accepted by IRS, call them and ask them. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2014	So I got an email from NVC that I have been registered as an agent for the applicant which I am assuming is acceptance of DS261 and it also says that I should pay the IV fees for further processing....... well the only problem is that the portal is showing that yellow triangle but I can't pay the fees as there is nothing to pay for IV. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2014	Yeah.... I was just laughing at the sarcasm.  And yes - a million times better than USCIS. There are more little steps instead of one big long wait.    I usually called around the time frames it seemed like I would be close to whatever milestone - nvc recieve, case # and case complete.  Aside from that I called about a false check list.  Every time the person was really nice and gave me good advice. I mean the standard time frames, but usually they would say something like "call back at the end of the week just to check". I felt like the answers they gave me were actually based on reality and as opposed to the whatever USCIS felt like saying that day   That being said - good luck and I hope you get your case complete soon!! Lol ...... I don't even wanna talk or think or comment about the USCIS phase. I am just glad that part is over. I am very much hoping and anticipating that both my cases get done by end of April beginning of May and so there is an interview call date in mid June or something. Unless their is an issue the next email you will get is case complete which arrives 7 days after your case complete (so call). Then there's the interview email that comes usually the day the schedule you.   There is no accepted package" emails. Thanks. So I guess back to calling. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2014	hello everyone, The uscis website says that they have sent my approved case to department of state for visa processing on march 10 and i shoud contact them directly for further information.in mail at home i recieved a letter on march 10, saying they have sent our case to NVC and to give them 30 days before i can contact them. Can anyone tell me how will they contact me after 30 days? Will they send me a letter in mail? when will i be assigned a case number? And how can they further do my visa processing through email. I have not given them my email address yet.will i be asked for an email address? My PD was june 6 NOA1 dec 19 Approved case sent to NVC march 10 nothing after this so far Help will be appreciated.. thank you Check my timeline. You have to give them about 20 business days after which you can call them or they will send a letter in mail to advise you of further processing. Your IV bill will be generated once the DS-261 is reviewed and accepted. Really because I completed my DS261 earlier last week and it was accepted. I am assuming accepted meNs that green check mark . God bless us all It's really hard to say as there is no specific timeline. The safest bet is to holdon to your job until the interview. I am surprised they were shipped so soon. It has to be the fastest action so far !!    lol true ..... but shipping out of USCIS is not the problem but actually getting to NVC and from there being uploaded into their system ....thats the worst part. its really taking them about 25 business days. And thats means with weekends and holidays and what not ... you are looking at atelast month and a half .... lol. Talk about being quick. You are the person who filed or is filing the Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, for a relative being sponsored;   2. The relative you are sponsoring is the only person listed on the Form I-130 petition;   3. The income you are using to qualify is based entirely on your salary or pension and is shown on one or more Forms W-2 provided by your employer(s) or former employer(s).   If you meet the above criteria, then yes, you can file the I-864EZ with your 1040 IRS Form. That's exactly what my husband did, he filed 1040 in 2013, 2012 and 2011 (your case). We used Total Income (this applies to you). The Adjusted Gross Income is just for people using 1040EZ (not your case).     Awesome. And thanks, Very much helpful. My husband filed the I-864EZ using Total Income since his IRS Form was 1040. You need to use the Adjusted Gross Income only when your IRS Form is the 1040EZ. That's what the instructions states    Ok I think I just got confused ... lol   For my tax returns I filed 1040 for three years including 2013. Can I not use I-864EZ or only 1040EZ can file I-864EZ?   Also for the purpose of stating income for past three years, I a going to use AGI or gross income for I-864EZ? It seems like from what you are saying that only if I had filed 1040EZ, I need to state AGI on I-864EZ. Since in my case I filed 1040 I need to use gross income. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2014	For 2, looking at what it says, you would think you wouldn't mention the other parent (as they have their own petition), but when you get to the household size, like you mentioned, 3 doesn't sound right. Perhaps in your case, it'd be best to fill out 2 with the other parent's info, then fill in the household section with 4. Hopefully, that won't generate a checklist. It is very confusing but I have been reading online and it seems like I shouldn't be including the other parent while filling out I - 864 for the one parent. Read some replies from lawyers on other websites. Unless it's children accompanying parents .... Which is what I think their logic is ..... If only they can make it much easier to understand. Each person having a separate petition is considered a separate individual for the purpose of I-864. So let's say God forbid one of the visas or I -864 don't get approved, the other person or individual is still considered as part if household. I know it's like ... I knew there was nothing about wearing jewelry but someone was telling me that there shouldn't be any jewelry. I alreadu have the pictures of my parents with my mom wearing small earrings. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	depends on the embassy.     I plan on tracking the file to the embassy and then calling  them to schedule something if what I get is not good.  My phone plan includes free international calling to a landline.. ( sorry for them  )    it depends on the date of Case Complete and when NVC is scheduling interviews for a specific embassy. If you miss the deadline than the wait is longer. IV they put in the 15th! DS-260 was done March 26th.  I hope they hurry up and I can be with my husband in the summer!! Sane thing with me .... They took like 2-3 business days just to scan the items for my IV and AOS. I am still hoping to hear something good this week. I wrote the name, date of birth and the NVC case number at the back.
