National Visa Center (Dept of State)	NVC case complete...but when is the interview ?	Thank you !  I hope that you get your interview date soon.  I was shocked at how soon after the case complete email that I got the interview notice.  I think that might be explained  by the fact that my case complete email was dated 9/6, but in actuality the case was completed the week before....so an official date of 8/30.  So I think we got lucky with an August date and therefore got an October interview date.  Also the date depends on how busy the particular Embassy/Consulate is.  I think that I had been reading so much on VJ about how long every step in the process takes that I wasn't prepared for an on schedule case complete and a quick assignment of the interview date.  LOL !    Now I hope that I did not jinx myself and that the interview goes well !  Hey,   How the interview went?   Now I am waiting my documents to be approved soon.	some81	Not Telling	Bulgaria	2013-12-19 10:14:00

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - November 2013	Hey guys! Need help. I submitted the AOS package and IV package as soon as the barcode sheet was available to me. So I basically submitted both the packages to NVC on different dates. Today, I received a following checklist.    "The NVC has received information on the referenced case. However, we are still waiting for the Immigrant Visa Application, the Affidavit of Support form (I-864) and/or the related fees. Please submit the forms and/or fees according to the instructions."   This looked like a false RFE to me, as suggested by other VJers. So I called the NVC and spoke with the operator. She told me first that it's a false RFE since they haven't reviewed my other packages. Then she went on saying that I submitted the wrong version of I-864. I asked her what version of I-864 she can see in the system. But she didn't have any clue. I told her that I didn't use the I-864EZ version and used the latest version of I-864 from the USCIS website (available on the following link).   http://www.uscis.gov.../form/i-864.pdf     She asked me to submit the AOS package all over again. I asked her to place an inquiry as I used the latest version of I-864 (OMB # 1615-0075/Expiry 03/31/2015), but she said she cannot do that and I have to submit the whole AOS package again. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - November 2013	Just an update:   I'd received 2 checklists:   1 for AOS (stupid N/A thing) 1 for IV (Birth and marriage cert originals).   I've responded to the first one and its almost been 30 days when I get checklist for IV   Just yesterday I mailed out original birth/marriage certs and their translations. Note for future Nepali filers, the govt translation department has been closed since 2 years, you now need to go to private ones. However, along with the translations, include a photocopy of that institution's permit for translation from the government. There have been cases of additional checklist because translation was not done by govt agency. That permit should help.   Apart from that, now waiting for a month for them to review and (hopefully) case complete. It is pretty cool though, last night I called NVC (my nightly routine) and they gave me my NVC case number and when I call again tonight I got my invoice ID number. Anyways, we just filed our DS-261 and now waiting on my AOS and IV invoice so I can pay and get this party started. *note* I submitted my expedite request due to military deployment two days ago using only my USCIS number. Today they request my name, b.d., and the same for my wife as well as the NVC case id which I had today. We shall see what they say. I do know that they got my email reply from today though because they updated my wife's email address which was not provided until the email from today. As in my case NVC received the case 8 days ago but still saying that case number is not assigned.    How long it took for you? And how did you know that case number is assigned ? Did you get email or have to call repeatedly?   I wish they could ease the process of the error you are getting and good luck and wish that your error could resolve fast. And as per what i know once you get case number it usually take couple hours to update the site for filling DS261 form. Correct me if wrong.       Hi,   Yes I have to wait 1-2 days until I got an invoice.   I have been calling them since 11/1 almost every day, but was filing that I`ll get it after around 10-15 business day.
