K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Supporting evidence	visit my fiancee? i never fly to Japan to visit her, since she worked here for 18 months till January 06. i thought the requirement is er ahve met each other. i mean my fiancee work in the USAfor 18 months, is tht good enough to prove that we have met each other within 2 years. Unfortunately i do not save the boarding pass...... i guess i probably should visit japan at least once As you have actually met physically within the past 2 years then it should be fine. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Supporting evidence	Assuming you have visited your partner within 2 years (required to apply for this visa) it is helpful to include airline stubs, tickets (if you kept), payment receipts from the flight, lots of photos of you two together (they like those) and another helpful thing is a receipt for any engagement rings bought. Are you sure this wouldn't be turned away if its given to me earlier than they ask for it? Like say....I get the next package of forms and it says blah blah need police check but I have it in hand with a date dating before I recieved the package asking me to obtain one. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	length of waiting	To say the least without your particular details that it seems Vermont Service Center at this time seems to be the fastest in processing and California Service Center is the slowest. The K-1 process can take anything from 3-6 months and sometimes a year. You need to have your rain coat on the for storm of the wait and stand in line under the grey clouds like the rest of us. I used the space provided on the form and wrote the following: We met in <country, city> between <travel dates> and were together <days, weeks, months>. Please refer to supporting evidence attached. Supporting evidence comprised of: passport exit/entry stamps; airline boarding passes; hotel reciepts; CC/ATM withdrawal reciepts. I had no photos so hence I submitted none. We filled in the question box on how we met but then got an RFE saying they wanted further evidence (one was a written letter explaining how we met). So I'd do that just incase. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I129F in TSC shows processing dates 2/15/2006	I wonder if they just did a typo - hate to say this but I would not put it past them. The last posting time (or was it 4 weeks ago?) it seems like they were reposting times back and forth for CSC for a couple of hours. Anyway, To think anything they post is accurate is hard to believe. I've been reading other posts where people have applied for another after 2 YEARS but to a different person. If ours gets denied we're going to try as many times as we can. When it says on the processing times example california service center is now doing fiancee cases I-129F dated from december blah de blah does this mean that they are looking at only the people who've just applied then or does that mean any information/documents at any stage of the fiancee visa if recieved at that date will get looked at too? The USCIS email notification was sent on the 24th but didn't arrive in my inbox till 25th but the date on it says 24th. When I recieved this I checked our online status to see it read 24th feb 06 was our last touch. I look at it today and the date on the online status reads 25th but when looking at our case it reads the same as the email of the 24th. Were we touched again but with no message? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	birth certificate	Like the others said it's your risk. But personally I wouldn't like to get turned back for something like that. But I have to admit Andy (my fiance) had a hard time getting the long form and it got sent right back to him within a month. But they need it for a good reason so I'd reconsider that risk. It may not be JUST the parents names perhaps certain codes/stamps. I'm in the middle of obtaining the long form of my own for when the interview comes around. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Can a Embassy Denie K1 Visa?	Ugh that lawyer just sounds like he's trying to basically take money off you and just give you false information. From what I know there ARE options if a k-1 is denied. As the others said you could meet up again (you and your partner) marry and then go ahead with a k-3 visa. Please really really consider dropping this lawyer for a better one. With all the visa fees you don't need to be handing out money if he isn't really going to help you out. May I ask why you decided to have a lawyer help with your case? Apart from the age is there any particular reason you thought you may need help making a strong enough case? It might help if you explain how big this cap is and if any of you are underage. There are loads of ads on this website for lawyers that help with K-1. Perhaps check those out? Yes grab another sheet write the title of the form the answer belongs to and the question number and question itself if you want and list the rest. You want to avoid a RFE. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Everydays A Day Closer To Your Partners Arms	lol aww ty guys. Glad to see so many responces and support....Lovely Lets share some ways of getting through .... Andrew & I use webcams 24/7, microphones 24/7 and I mean all day and night we fall asleep with them on, get tangled in the wires. We communicate souly through yahoo messenger. We try to pass the time with updating out website www.sertichfamily.com, playing second life www.secondlife.com which is an online world where you can physically be together but as your own creation just makes ya feel that bit more closer, play online chess and pool, we watch movies via webcam not the clearest but still enjoyable....we watch american idol etc....we play flight simulator together in which we both fly planes across the world in real time and weather (i crash it 99.9% of the time). Despite the constant communication we do have our days too where the computer becomes this horrible thing thats seperating us....we've both come close to breaking the computers out of upset and frustration. Especially when you have those emotional talks and you can't reach out and hold one and other. We use the phone occasionally too which is nice every once in a while, he sounds so real .... so close.....yet still so damn far away... It will end one day, andy and I have sworn we'd wait forever ....if thats what it takes. I remember way back 6 years ago he told me we'd meet again in the stars if anything ever went wrong.... One of the hardest times is drawing near for us right now. Andy goes for major surgery next week....and I can't be with him ..... going into hospital as we both do its very hard to be thrown from 24/7 internet to NOTHING, in the hospital they took my phone off me last time was awful. Andy had to contact my parents to find out what was happening.... anyway, every couple has there own way of coping under seperation. Whats yours? I know some people here have gone months recieving nothing and despite being happy for those recieving approval the wait is always hard. I'd like to give those waiting a little boost. VJ isn't always about approvals and touches, its also about the emotional struggle and the day after day without a partner. To all those still waiting remember one thing everyday you wait is a day gone and you'll never have to wait through again, everyday is a day closer to the goal whether it be NOA1, NOA2, the medical or interview you're a day further ahead than yesterday and lots of days/weeks/months ahead than when you first started. Keep your chins up. Everyday brings the mailman, perhaps tomorrow will be your day. Perhaps tomorrow you'll hear about the process. Never give up hope, for without it.. it'll be so much harder. Think of your future, think of your partner, remember its alright to cry by god you have a right to. I put "none" when it asked if I was employed as I too am on Disability Living Allowence and from england. I do not work as no employer would take me with the instability of my illness. We got NOA1 no problem and are now waiting on NOA2. So I wouldn't worry. I intend to get a doctors letter to attach to Packet 3 and take some medical files of mine to the interview to confirm my illness. Perhaps it's something to think about too? Hi All, I was just wondering if anybody knew exactly what they (the gremlins) are doing whilst we sit here waiting for NOA2? I heard something about background checks....who do they do that on? My fiance stole some things from a store as an early teen will this cause any problems? He was never charged just warned. What else do they do before we recieve the NOA2?
