K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	NEED ADVISE K1 or K3	Hi, My name is Jill and my Fiance is living in Brazil at present. I have been reading all of your postings and read the notice that came out from the USCIS yesterday. It is very discouraging as we have not even filed yet (I am waiting for my final divorce decree) We anticipate filing in late February or Early March. MY QUESTION is this- We can either file the K1 in March or we can get Married in April and then file for the K3 We plan on getting married- but we are not sure which route to go. Previously, it was my understanding that the K1 was quicker than the K3. But after reading yesterdays postings I am not so sure. Our ultimate goal is to be together- and the quicker the better. Can you tell me- If you were me and you were filing next month- Which way would you go?? US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	I-134 Documentation Dates	I was just reading the above post and I have a question..(regarding my situation) I am a full time student and I work part time (only make about $6k/year) However, I get $1800/ mo child support.. (Im not even claiming the kids as dependents for the next two years- my ex is) My last tax return (2007)was only showing $2k income my 2006 and 2007 were filed jointly with my EX husband and HE made over $200K- but obviously MY name is on the tax returns as well. So those are also MY tax returns for the past few years Anyways.. PRESENTLY I have $25K in savings and $125K in an IRA I graduate in 1 year and starting salaries are around $45-50K for an RN with BSN degree SO HERES MY QUESTION: My future Sister in law (now an american citizen) said she would co-sponsor if neccessary and I plan on doing this as "insurance" but based upon MY assets- do think there is any way I would qualify alone??	***	Female	0	2008-04-28 17:28:00

Only thing is that the more paper you add, the harder it is to keep it organized. HI I have a question for you guys.. We received our NOA2 in August and my fiance's appt is on October 21. They sent the package (3?) to him , we filed the required forms online and filled out the rest. Does he mail anything in advance of the interview? .. or just show up with all the required documents. Because Brazil mails Packages 3/4 together , along with a date. there is nothing that needs to be sent to the embassy in advance? It seems like (again) alot of waiting with nothing to be done. Why is this getting harder? He's discouraged, Im depressed and we are getting desperate. I know that we have so much this to look forward to.. but not knowing when is killing me. It is becoming increasingly difficult to focus on the positives, to focus on the future, when we are so tired of being apart. Weekends are the worst. Im too busy with school during the week. (Im in my last year of nursing school- full time) and with the kids activities to be depressd longer than it takes me to fall asleep.(ABOUT 3 seconds after my head hits th pillow) But the weekends UGH .. they kill me. So last month I spent over 3,000 minutes calling Lima peru and still got charged 29.99 (plus taxes and fees, lol). This is the best thing that ever happened, haha. And now when Luis comes he can use it to call home everyday! yay! Susita, I need to call Vonage tomorrow.. Your minutes look like my phone bill!!!!! Another week has gone by .....this is really getting me down. I hope someone gets approved soon. Its getting to me more and more every day. I know he's not at war and I know he is healthy and not in harms way.. and perhaps I should be more thankful of that. But every day that goes by without him hurts a little more. I wish I did not feel this way. He is working for his cousin- in a job that is not in his industry. Its a job, it keeps him busy and brings in a little money (not his usual)- he had to get an interim apartment (as we had hoped my divorce would have come earlier and we would have started the process earlier) - its pretty much a dump but its cheap and he didnt have to sign a lease..and basically is just counting the minutes until his interview. We both have tough days- last weekend was his. He spent the weekend calling me and crying with me trying to keep him strong.. knowing that MY breakdown will soon follow. I dont think people NOT in our situation understand. They cant. It is such a trying time for all of us and a tribute to our love for our fiances.. we are required to have 5x the strength of the average couple.
