My wife just went through the process less then a week ago. Medical exam, and vaccinations need to be up to date. IF you got married in Peru and went through that process on you own then you shouldnt have any problem doing the immigration papers on your own. hi, thanks for your help . we got married in usa 9 months ago, and we started the process to get mi work permit and travel autorization while i was there, we sent all the documents, medical exams, etc..to the usci , so they told us that i should get mi work permit and travel autorization in the middle of december,everything was perfect so we decided came to peru to visit and wait, but after 2 weeks that we got here the usci sent us an e -mail with the date for my biometrics in portland, obviously i cant go, and the e -mail also said that i cant leave usa and if i do that they 'll cancel all the process, so...too late . they did it. now we have to start everything again but this time its a lot harder because im going to stay here in peru and he's going to go back to usa this saturday.im really sad .i dont know when im going to see him again =( we thought that maybe get the k3 will be faster because i alredy did the medical exams, we sent all the papers and forms that they ask . so they have all my information, but i dont think so.we need to starT from cero . its frustrating.	yumishi	Female	Peru	2009-11-19 05:55:00

I didnt just because for 1 my marriage is true not a scam and plus the lawyer charges are just to much. I hear with a lawyer its faster but how true is that. Here is my situation which by the way i was new at this to but everything i needed to know i googles and would read what other people experinaced. My husband and I married in April. But because we were not so good with money we filed in July. I filled out all the apps by my self and things i was not sure of i would google it. Just write the exact question on the app on google and you get your answers. I did call USCIS to see what apps i need to fill out and do fill out the app for advanced parole which is for traveling while waiting for the green card. Anyhow, we sent in everything in July. 2 weeks latter we received receipts in the mail for each application filed. In August my husband received his bimetrics appointment letter and at the end of Agust his work authorization card. Also in August he received a letter for his interview that was sheduled for September. At the interview, that went well i would say the only thing the officer wanted from us as additional document was a letter from my mom confirming we live with her. Mind you we didnt even take any photos which is my fault for that. I should of prepared more stuff for the interview. And yesterday, we just received an email that told us his green card is ordered and will receive it in the mail. Which i am happy about because now we can go visit back home. Anyway i wrote all this just so you know how long what takes. Also, before you file do call USCIS, explain everything to them your situatio and make sure everything they ask you is true as it does matter what apps you need to fill out and send. I would also call a few times to confirm the info they give you because once I called one person i spoke to gave me names of some different forms. So call a few times to confirm. Also if anything is confusing on the app google the question. Another thing is read the instructions for each app. because each app needs to have additional documents attached. And those documents do repeat, axample you need to attach you birth cert. on two different applications. When you are done filling out all the apps call USCIS again repeat them the apps you have, ask them in what order to put them and on what app to put the checks on, i say check becaucse you have to write two check (to different amounts) and the passport photos go on the apps and they will tell you how many passport photos you need of you and your husband. The photos cant be more then 30 days old. So do that last. If you have any more questions please ask. By the way in which country is your husband? Best of luck to you guys! hi thanks you for your help. well im from Peru and my husband is from USA, im the one that needs the k3, we dont know what to do, seems like for you all the process was fast, thaths really nice. we were thinking to hire a lawyer because he is in usa and im in peru so...we dont know how to deal with documents and ..forms... i think if we were together would be better but...its not possible. anyways..we dont know if do it by ourselfs would be better. it is too complicated? i mean the process. and it is too expensive? and what about de biometrcis? sorry if i ask some many questions =(.. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	my husband broke up with me...before start the process =(	hi everyboby .well i was new in this website, i was excited becuase i found information about the k3. well my name is pamela and i´v been married to michael for almost 10 months, we decided to star the process, i came to my country and he stay in usa, we were excited at least that´s was i thought , i was making plan to getting married in ca church with my family here, i designed my weeding dress, for the religious weding, i was excited, we talked by phone and emails, but after 2 weeks he decide to broke up with me, he sent me a nice email on tuesday and i call him wednesday and he broke up, i called him today and he said no again. he lie to me, he admited, i dont understan how a person can do that. he said that he doesnt love me anymore, that he was never happy with me. and now we are done. i dont know what to do, i feel so lost, so depress, im sorry i dont wanna complain but its not fair, how can you married someone for 10 month and just like that said i dont love you and broke up...i dont understan. im only crying, what im gonna do without him. oh god..i dont know what to do or said.	yumishi	Female	Peru	2009-12-10 19:18:00
