K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMedical and interview for k1 visa

Hi margaret! With my case, my fiance called the nvc abroad to check status of the packet that I should receive...we were advice then that it was sent to manila on March 6. We also asked our Case number.. the Mnlxxxxxxx. Once you have the case number, you may start the process -

1. Pay visa fee. Download the deposit slip and go to bpi.
2. Schedule visa interview appointment
3. Go for medical exam. No need for appointment, unfortunately its a first come first serve basis so long lines are inevitable. What I did was answer pre registration just to skip the hassle of filing out on the day.you need to have an visa interview appointment before having medical.

Up to now I havent receive the packet. The call center agent told me that it really takes sometime. The packet consists of instructions, ds froms, and your case number. All these are downloadable online and of course your case number can be attained via nvc.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMedical and interview for k1 visa

HI!, Postgjboniface, thank you so much for the information you gave. I just wanted to confirm as well whether K1-visa processing is the same as IR-1 processing. I will wait for NVC to confirm to me the next step after case completed (receiving all the necessary documentations). In case that it's possible for me with what you have adviced then i'll go through it. God bless You!

I think also with K-1 your processing would be much easier as you can schedule your own interview. correct me if im mistaken probably with my IR-1 i need to wait for NVC to email to me regarding the schedule of medical and interview appoinment. Once they received my police clearance and quoted case complete. il give them a call on what to do next as well.

Thank you for your kind reply. Please do guide me if you have time on how I'll be able to have a medical appointment in advance at St. Luke's without waiting for long for the medical and interview letter to come out. I thought this is not possible as both of my children are all in the US already and I actually just followed evry instructions.

Hi! Let me answer that for you. I didn't have the medical appointment letter. Only the interview appointment letter I received through email from the NVC. I decided on my own when to go and have my medical done since it is a first come first serve basis. From the time NVC emailed me that I have a case complete to finding an interview slot for me was a total of 4 business days. And the date they were able to get for our interview was between 3-4 weeks from the date they have emailed me the interview appointment letter. Hope I was able to answer your question. Good luck!

When all your requirements had been completed at the NVC, how look it was before they gave you your medical and interview appointment? was it weeks or months? Hoping for your reply.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresIV processing times
Thanks Lai and Steven. I just recently joined the forum and was actually finding ways to appease myself. My children are in the US already with my husband. It has been very difficult for me with the waiting times as I have been missing my kids terribly.

Hi! I'm from Philippines. I just wanted to know the estimated time when you will be able to have an appointment for medical and interview? NVC is just waiting for my police clearance from S'pore then all the required civil documents will be completed.

My Visa type application is IR-1/ Spouse pf U.S. Citizen. I'm confused to between either to WAIT for the Notification letter from NVC to e-mail to me my INTERVIEW APPOINTMENT DATE OR SHOULD I make an APPOINtMENT be made via calling Embassy’s Visa Information and Appointment Service at (632) 982-5555 or (632) 902-8930 to schedule a visa interview date??? Anyone who made their appointment via calling the numbers below or wait for notification letter coming from NVC.

I sent an email to U.S embassy Manila and this is what I'v got...see e-mail below

You need not wait for the hard copy of our interview notification letter and should visit this website: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph or contact the Embassy’s Visa Information and Appointment Service at (632) 982-5555 or (632) 902-8930 to schedule a visa interview date. The Visa Information and Appointment Service is open Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Manila time) except on Philippine and U.S. holidays. Callers in the U.S. should call (214) 571-1600 between 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
